  • At a young age, Cesar and his mother had to move to Florida Why? In search of better opportunities. From the start, he was treated like an outsider… a feeling far too familiar for our fellow U.S. citizens of Puerto Rico.

I totally agree! Puerto Rico along the District of Columbia need statehood, which is the best option for both locations!

Dc is a mess of a place, and the capital of the country shouldn't be a state.

DC has an Anglo culture and mindset....On the other hand, PR has a Latin culture and mindset! 😊

@@JERios-wv8lx :Well, that doesn’t block Puerto Rico from also becoming a state. Alaska has a lot of Russian culture while Hawaii has a lot of Polenisian culture and they became U.S. states anyway. It seems to me that you are drowning in a glass of water. What you are affirming doesn’t make sense.

Cesar you are right.....In the mainland we always have been (and always will be) considered "foreigners", no fellow citizens (including those of us who speak English without an accent)....So if you, as indivudual, want to be part of USA and always be treated as a "minority", that's your decision.....En cambio los españoles siempre se refieren sobre la gente de Puerto Rico como "nuestros hermanos puertorriqueños"....La mejor opcion es la reunuficacion con España como Provincia Autonoma, como eramos antes de la invasion de 1898. 😊 (Lo siento, no se acentuar en este teclado.)

Well we are free associated with the US pretty much , but politically we’re not considered a country . But we are a nation .

You're totally dreaming rainbows and unicorns. It has been more than 122 years since the United States took our country from our motherland, Spain, and to this day we're to them a 2nd class citizen that was created in 1917 by the U.S. Congress under the Foraker Act by the request of then-U.S. President Woodrow Wilson to legally draft Puerto Rican young men into their military during WWI, and my paternal grandfather was drafted.
The E.L.A. or "Estado Libre Asociado" is anything but. In fact, Were No Estado, we're Not Libre, nor Asociado to the United States instead they can revoke our citizenship and constitution by the flick of a pen. We were reaped from our currency by devaluation, stole our farmlands for the sugar juggernaut of Wall Street's investors and "The American Sugar Company" known today as Domino.

Sorry, but Puerto Rico's motherland (in lieu of her actual genetics in the main): West Africa. This cannot be denied. Puerto Rico by way of her basic sense of daily being is West African, and less European Spanish. One is aggressive, the other is recessive (genetically speaking).
