I didn’t even consider the idea of using Sin-Eater for the next movie but he would actually be the perfect villain for Spider-Man to take on with Daredevil. They already said they’re planning to adapt a villain that hasn’t been used in live action and considering how the only hint of him we’ve even gotten has been in Spectacular Spider-Man the time is honestly perfect to use him as at least one of the villains of the new trilogy. I think it would be cool to bring Shocker back as a side villain for this adaptation but also Scorpion could fulfill similar role.
I'd love them to connect Shocker, Hobgoblin and The Blaze from Spectacular spider-Man #103 from June 1985. It could be a plotline about a series of copycat crimes.
Spider-Man overall should do like a batman echolocation thing from the Dark Knight movie, and make the series ABOUT something. Spider-Man should be about Spidey being seen as a villain despite being friendly, like spiders are, the way Batman deals with surveillance state. Use those themes to mkae the specific adaptation more substantive and not jsut a tale where anything goes, like monster of the week stuff.
And that works perfectly because both Tom Holland and Kevin Feige said they want to make this next Spiderman movie more grounded. This story would be perfect for that.
In my opinion I would like to see Spider-Man fight Sin Eater and deal with the ramifications of another masked person who views himself as morally righteous. It could make Peter reflect on his identity as Spider-Man as well as testing Peters morality.
Reminds me of the Punisher-Daredevil dynamic in DD season 2. Matt feels somewhat guilty that his Daredevil persona is inspiring all these violent vigilantes and feels somewhat responsible for what the Punisher does.
Making this the next movie would work really well but I would say scorpion has to make his debut in costume finally. You could make up the city thinks spiderman is somehow the cause of death or make sin-eater kill villains too, so people think viligiantism is the problem then have scorpion as a spider slayer get involved because its been 3 movies (2 technically but you get what I mean because the build up for scorpion should not be reaching the same time amount as thanos lol). Kingpin though would probably be sending the spider slayers, not Jonah and while disappointing it still works really well.
@@mandalorianhunter1 I really don't like Mac Gargan being the first host of venom in the mcu. A majority of fans thinks he is the worst host if not for that random rich kid that got venom in an auction once. At the same time though flash in the mcu sucks so no agent venom.

you know how DC will adapt their popular comics into animated movies like under the red hood and the long Halloween? I always wondered why marvel never tried doing that outside of planet hulk
Because they are owned by Disney. Ever since Disney took over with animation the shows have been getting more kid-friendly and straying from what they are adapting because Sony was dumb enough to give away animation rights with toy rights so now marvel is here to get kids hooked on designs not stories.
I know some of the stories deserve to be faithfully animated. Like I can imagine a storyline being adapted into a one season show and also shares the same name.
It’s crazy how you’ve awakened like really old memory I remember reading this comic back in like middle school really enjoyed it and it’s really tragic
What I want to know is how they planned on adapting Sineater in Spectacular Spider-Man. Cause I doubt they could've done him murdering a bunch of people
I’m making a fan film that is adapting the comic because I’ve not seen a lot of people use this story so I decided I will do it. I’m actually making the script right now and it’s not one to one but it’s similar like some of differences are like miles is involved, spider man finds out about sin eater very early on and daredevil isn’t in it
I really liked the ending with Peter and Matt, where they both reveal their identities to each other and then discuss their differences. I think that Peter and Matt should be closer . They should be best friends .
Yeah, Disney wouldn't have the cojones to even dare to adapt this into the MCU, and I doubt Sony would even be able to adapt this either without screwing the pooch given how messy and disorganized they are right now.
The moment I heard you talk about the Jean DeWolff comic, I ran to grab one of my comics and... damn, I got the first one one! I still need to read it, tho... Read the one I have before watching the video. I need to find the rest! It's a story with something of a grey tone of morality, with so many twists and turns and a subtle analysis on Pete's character. Little detail that wasn't mentioned was the character Ace Spencer, who was taught by a retired crippled soldier a lesson he learned in his campaign in Vietnam, all about NOT meddling into other people's troubles. Ace Spencer is basically the anti-Peter Parker and, in the bigger picture of this story, he's a red herring of who the Sin Eater is, which is just SO DAMN COOL. Could've been some random crook who crossed DeWolff's path, but nah, they went the extra mile and gave him character in an amount sufficient for you to want to know more about him (at least, IMO). Needless to say, it is so PEAK
Honestly, I think this will be a amazing story for Spider-Man five after he gets the black suit cause I’m beating up the sin eater will show how angry he gets with the suit and how angry he gets in general, and I think this is a great story to show the public in today’s society And also I can have scorpion in it or something some cooler stuff in between but have this be the A plot
Wow! I appreciate this my G! I've never heard of it and I've literally never heard one person even mention it!? IDK how! Its just feels so real/grounded in reality compared to so many of the spidey escapades. Even the simple "token robber" mask with the double barrel shotty just felt so REAL! He was a Crook without superpowers but was a legitimate & arguably killed more intensely/ brutally than a lot of spidey's main villains! This is literally Great 💯🤘🏽🫡
I think the Sin Eater storyline would work better in a tv series than a movie. Introduce Jean Dewolfe in Spiderman 4 with Scorpion as the main villain that way we can spend time and develop her as a character. Then after, make a spiderman and daredevil series that starts with Jean's death, and have daredevil help spiderman. Also because its a tv series, this storyline can go full blown DARK. I want that infamous fight where Peter beats Sin Eater so bad he gets permanent brain damage. Tom Holland's Peter was stopped by Tobey from mercing Goblin. But with all he's lost in NWH and Jean getting assassinated, he finally loses control and Sin Eater is given an extremely graphic beating
Yep. The sequel was even better, I think (It was the BEST use of Electro, I think !). Too bad that they brought the Sin-Eater back. He should have stayed dead .
It would be weird doing a Sin-eater story now since it would make people think that Marvel is ripping off The Batman, think about it, Sin Eater in this comic looks like The Riddler from that movie ans the story beats are pretty similar.
I think he would do better in the new daredevil series. The subject matter is too mature for a Disney audience. Make Daredevil track him down and then have spider-man show up in the final episode to put to an end. Peter can convince the police and Matt that he just needs help.
It'd be so compelling if Jean was Pete's only friend after he erased Peter Parker from everyone's memory. And having him go through a "'Peter Parker no more" arc would be really interesting especially with Daredevil as a supporting character. Matt having already gone through a similar character arc would know the importance of not letting yourself go. Although I don't think this should be the next movie. Have the next movie establish and set up characters a bit more. Make Peter and Jean be real friends and not just co-workers. Then go through the Sin eater arc.
This is definitely not being adapted, too gritty for the Kid Friendly image Disney wants for Spider-Man Also I'm not sure if Spectacular was going to adapt it

An MCU Spiderman adaptation of this story would probably feel like a spiritual sequel to Winter Soldier.
I hope when Marvel gets it's groove back then I hope they do this story for a movie but Disney has to be ballsy enough to play it seriously.
Any story where Spiderman and Daredevil team up is peak
Actually this story was partially adapted in the spiderman 3 movie video game
In my opinion I would like to see Spider-Man fight Sin Eater and deal with the ramifications of another masked person who views himself as morally righteous. It could make Peter reflect on his identity as Spider-Man as well as testing Peters morality.
