Comments like “u should die” or “kill yourself” are NEVER acceptable but comments like “retire” or “you suck” don’t raise to that unacceptable level and are to be expected when his play is complete garbage and u accept $22M to play a game and perform like he does then u will get heat that is deserved - lumping those comments (like u suck) about his poor performance to the unacceptable death threats in the same comment is not a good look and cools the sympathy I would have felt about the unacceptable comments
I am sick about hearing about garver and the threats. It's wrong. It doesn't need an entire day of saying it. Those people were being assholes. Happens everyday. People say fucked up shit. I can tell many of you have never been in a COD lobby. If they were legitimate threats get security. Telling people it's wrong is nonsensical. People already know it or don't care. He can choose not to look. He is a public figure and people are insane. A former president got shot and people were made the shooter missed. I saw a guy on Twitter say those people who threatened him are equal to PDFs... Like those are not even in the same universe. Again it's wrong. Those people who do that will continue to do that. Telling me for seven hours it's wrong is so tired.
Thank you so VERY MUCH for highlighting the “human concern” over Mitch Garver. His mental health requires a respite to restore his confidence. He is a tremendous human being. His media comments post game were a cry for help. Thanks again for recognizing the most important theme in his comments. He needs a break. The idiot(s) who leveled death threats at him should be identified by law enforcement and dealt with accordingly. Again, thank you for being human, while other sports talk shows have completely overlooked the concern for his mental health. Good on ya Jason!!!
