I had no idea they made a small hack saw! And that tripod...wow....my husband is restoring a 93 F150 and those mini tripods are awesome. We have something similar he uses to snap shot engine parts. Thanks for another informative video!
Thank you Sandy that is awesome your husband is restoring a truck. I dig it. That little tripod has been amazing great bang for the buck! Is your husband going to put those videos on RUclips?
@@ThatFixItGuy lol He's been saying he needs to create a youtube for 10 yrs. He is extremely mechanically inclined and fairly knowledgeable in a lot of areas but I don't think he will. There's just not enough hours in the day 😀
I used a Dremel grinder and a 1.5 diameter cutoff wheel. I used it to cut the water lines they were in the way. I then had plenty of room to cut through the brass nut.
Right on. I have had to use mine more that I like for sure. Hope you and Michelle are doing well. I am going to have to see this instrument repair tool box at some point.
I just found this after my repair. Also I had that crazy triangle clamp in the way. Nose of the videos had that but one of the 2 choices at Home Depot. Also, I had to chisel out the busted metal pipe out of the elbow to get the new plastic pipe to fit.
yeah i will have to do that. i installed a chrome tail piece at my grandparents and it connected to a leaky strainer from 1938. i did not know that the strainer was leaking. i checked on the plumbing a few weeks later. and i saw all my work was rotten because of the water dripping on it. since the strainer is from 1938 it is on there tight. but i learned a good lesson. i will need to use your trick to get it out thanks for the tip.
Anytime! I’m glad I am helping people out! It is always nice to see what someone else would do in the same situation. 4 eyes are better than 2! Keep up the good work as well! Your channel is growing!
That would work well, and I may try it at some point but I always seem to grind a little more than needed! Lol. My luck is I cut the sink and I’m screwed.
That saw looks handy. Thanks for the video!
It is pretty handy little saw for a fairly common job on older pipe! Your welcome!
Finally someone that shows how difficult this project can be!!! Thank you!

This is a truly great how-to video. Dug the woodpecker!
Glad you liked it! Yeah I love that shop. I should have went around the room. Some cool stuff in there! Thank you for watching!
Exact problem I had. Took an angle grinder to it. thanks for the video 👍

Hey Brian thanks for the great information, I had never seen a mini hack saw like that before it really came in handy 👍
I will do a tool review on it soon and show you the ins and out the sweet little mini hack. Thanks for watching Britt!
Thank you for the saw idea!!
I have one in my instrument repair toolbox in school! I don’t think I’ve ever used it though but it’s good to have! Great video again!

Thanks for the tips Brian! Another good tool for my tool box!
The mini hack saw is a good little tool. I will do a tool review soon.

💯% the grinder!!🤔🤔😎🍺👍
Get it. Thank you for watching.
It's very easy ic u make a cut with disc grinder

I used a Milwaukee multi tool. Took about 15 seconds.
Ponderous.
I tried hacking when I remembered that I had a reciprocation saw.
Time to pull out the big dog!! I love it!
How 2 loosen a metal on metal nut that doesn't budge no sprays, no hammering works, at the wall area end ,( furthest from the drain)?? Use fire?
Fire would most likely work. Don’t burn the joint down though. Leverage is hard on those spaces.
We use our Dremel tool and it worked. Thank you for the video 😅
why not a Dremel?
My issue is someone used that megalock on the bottom nut, so everything is loose but that glued on nut. 😢
I got the nut odd but the strainer is stuck
We can put people on the moon but we design stuff like this.........
