Some people are not able to accept not the success of others but their unsuccessfulness. Its pain not just anger. They can't process their feeling that they are helpless in not being able to do better. Not that I watch the Simpsons but of the few instances i did, Bart was used to losing because he didn't care but in one instance he broke down completely because he actually 'tried' to do well and failed. It brought him to tears and sorrow. If you try hard and fail its very hard to accept.
Learning about thirst for honor has been a major contribution for me in my journey through a career in medicine. I’ve learned soooo much from Bishop Baron. I am so grateful about this new awareness. It’s a giant relief that I have made a huge change in the way I think about colleagues. It’s difficult to let go of my pride especially since I was trashed thoroughly by people at work. Accepting that God expects me to forgive all that was key to my progress and paved the way for me to love my colleagues as myself. What an amazing relief

My own experience with "envy" was when a friend was succeeding in her life, and I was genuinely celebrating her achievements. However, when I experienced a little success, she became arrogant, looked down on me, and even called my success "boring." It made my heart bitter. How could she belittle my success while I had wholeheartedly celebrated hers? Hadn't God already given her the big wins? God gave me a small victory, and yet she couldn't be happy for me. Instead, she was contemptuous and sarcastic. Since then, I’ve harbored bitterness in my heart and found myself no longer wanting to celebrate her successes 🤣. In the end, I decided to unfriend her and remove her from my life. It's extremely important to choose friends who see us, celebrate us, and cry with us.
