As kid in 1965 I had an LP called sounds of the TT. It had this bike , Hailwoods Honda 6 Gilleras, Agos MV Agusta and many more recorded at full chat. I would turn the record player up to full volume and lie on the carpet dreaming of the day I would ride my own bike at the TT. Meanwhile the next door neighbour would be banging on the wall for me to turn it down.😂😂😂

Michael Dunlop is a force of nature.I hope that he wins couple of TT races this year to become the most successful of all time....and not a single TT Zero to blemish his record.

M.D. 100% racer....even on a parade lap - so smooth. Golden sounds from the Golden Era. Wish I had been there to see him ring a 100mph lap from this beautiful, historic machine - it was in safe hands. THX😊

Many thanks for this, shivers down my back, tears in my eyes, plus I'm a convert to MD - any bloke who can wring a 100 mph lap from a 70 + year design( I know it's a replica here) must be a genius, plus he was big enough a man to pay respects to those riders of the day ,
who had to cover 8 laps!!!!!! They were real men, and MD stands with them. Thanks again

Michael's lap was very similar to Bob Mac's in 1957, perhaps surprising present day fans how fast the top guys were back then.

My dad, (he should have become 89 today if….) was always talking about the sound of the Gilera on the Dutch TT back in the day… now i know why! Beautiful sound and still at a good pace! I “stepped” in the motorcycle world when 1 was about 10 i think, maybe 13… i did see and hear on my first Dutch TT the last MV’s (Phil Read) competing… a 4 stroke fan for life!

It's not a "thing", it is a work of historical motorised art, a mechanical, racing masterpiece. 135 kg (300 lb) is not that heavy for what was, in it's era, an open class motorcycle. Didn't have the benefit of 6 speed transmission, so in slow corners in first gear the clutch was slipped to keep the momentum up. 70 hp gave around 160 mph on the fastest sections of the TT, especially with the extended dustbin fairing.
