This just popped up on RUclips. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Love n.s.m 60 now aches and pains everywhere, BUT when I hear BRILLIANT tunes like this I think I'm 15 again and they all go away. Well for a bit. Please can we have more to brighten up these dark days.✊🌈👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏for care workers.
Tina Davies great to hear that you enjoyed it so much, it’s a passion that never goes away. Please don’t forget to subscribe there’s plenty more to come. Cheers
Thanks again baz half way through and my girl sweetest girl in the world, then I thought you were mine, sandwiching let me down easy, you should get more views. beats them dance tutorials that get half a million views, if you need tutorials to dance to northern go be a rocker coz if you can't feel them songs no hope for you
Tech Soul. Thanks. Yes, one of those mint finds that I picked up from someone's box, and never played because it was too slow at the time, before 'cross over' was defined.
I use to own Herman Lewis's personal copy, via Andy rix, whom I believe has the acetate of this,I also believe Herman Lewis is actually Herman griffin! To which he recorded on mercury under both names!
Wow! Great! Soul at it’s best. Are any of these tracks available to download? - I don’t have any decks but would love to listen whenever the mood takes me. Thanks
Cheers Derek, I’m glad you enjoyed. These tracks are so difficult and some impossible to find anywhere due to rarity. You can download from RUclips if you pay them a monthly subscription. It works really well as you can also listen to videos (without downloading) whilst your phone is off or whilst you are using your phone for other things too. That’s what I do. Also everything is add free. I much prefer it to Spotify, as they don’t have all the rare originals and on RUclips you can download films to watch when out and about. Hope that helps.
Yes, without doubt the UK benefitted by soul music not being bought and appreciated in the US as is was in the UK back in the day. Thanks to the Brits keeping it alive, the world now appreciates rare 60/70’s Northern Soul, and being rare, that’s inevitable driven prices up.
12.30 "Let me down easy" superb slice of Soul. Recently covered by Poalo Nutini and a very respectable job he's made of it. But nothing can touch Bettye's version.
Thankyou, and yes it’s one of my top 10. I’ve been lucky enough to upgrade my copy since recording this. A much cleaner version is on one of my other RUclips sets, if you’d like to hear a crystal clear version. Cheers.
What a fantastic tune 🎉❤

The Uk bought up all the records and raised the prices of soul. You could find this stuff dirt cheap at one time.
