- The Wakanda Forever Clips look TERRIBLE. Disney Marvel's M-She-U Phase Bore ends with the Black Panther sequel, that has the supporting cast vs. a heavily retconned Namor who can't even pronounce his own name. After watching the aforementioned 4 clips, the ones Disney Marvel deliberately picked out to sell this movie, cringe is the only word to describe them. The winds of change are starting to blow. Unfortunately, the more things change, the more Disney stays the same. Too much bad content will lead to apathy, the franchise killer.

I can't believe I was bullied as a kid for being a comic nerd, only to grow up and finally have this stuff be popular, but this is the garbage that gets shoved down my throat.

That's my biggest issue with this movie...they are selling his death and looking to make a profit off of it.
They didn't wanna recast immediately (although they did for General Ross...) so they should have done some crazy T'Challa just got sucked into multiverse or something and we have no way/time of rescuing him because of Namorrrrrr invading. So of course Shuri takes on the mantle (with no powers since all the purple flowers were destroyed) and by the time we see BP next in MCU, he could be recast after a few years.

To describe the level and value I perceive from new releases like this I also never think of buying cinema tickets to see them. I directly think "another download worthy" movie.

I always had the theory that Disney/Marvel didn't recast Black Panther just because they wanted to take advantage of the unfortunate death of Chadwick Boseman, not out of respect for his memory or to pay tribute to him, the only thing they thought after his death was the potential success of a sequel in which his character has also died. Last weekend I was at a local thrift store and they Heir to the empire and Tales from Jabbas palace and I was more exited about that then anything from Disney, and it didn't even matter I had 3 other copies of Hair, I feel like I need to make sure they survive this dark time with Disney

I called Marvel quits last year. Sad, such a beloved part of my childhood (the comics). Star Wars had such amazing opportunity, they already had everything they needed to make BILLIONS with the EU. Imagine the Thrawn Trilogy being made into a sequel.
I keep saying exactly this - if they just put out a my bad statement on what they've done so far and then said we're making the Thrawn trilogy - cgi, digital voices, so many of us would come back...
I've done the same with a lot of media that's been homogenized by the mainstream. Its not even made for the normies anymore; its made by and for a select group of twitter slackivists that actively hate the source material and the people who like it. Then Shuri was going to become the new Black Panther to avenge him. That beginning was then dropped when Chadwick died in real life he was always supposed to give up the mantle for the girl power agenda of phase 4.

I'm confused of how it's a representation of his culture if it doesn't even exist in his culture. Is the more powerful representation of his culture in the making s#!t up?

Not only have I not watched a single episode of Rings on Amazon I selected an option to remove it from the recommended list.
I watched Maverick for the first time this past week and I got 'emotional' because for the first time since I cant remember when, I'd watched a film that was entertaining to the core, with no nod to any message and was just good times. I wasn't being told off, attacked for my identity or shamed for any reason. Its sad, but films like Thor, wakanda and all the other crap that's pushed, I know it's not for me and I just don't bother anymore.
Same. Now I don't even bother with shows or movies that push The Message. There are plenty of other things to watch, read, or play.
Funny I thought maverick was both predictable and unrealistic, I had a hard time staying interested.
I thought Wakanda was gonna be different than the others Marvel made this year. Sadly I was wrong…

Im so glad Henry Cavill stood up to all the bullshit and walked away, I always liked the guy, but seeing that level of integrity is commendable.
Their sagging Financials and stock price will drive them first to some “trimming”, which won’t be enough, and then they’ll have to sell off some divisions - if they’re worth anything.
Why did they decide to call Namor, Kukulkan? The hell?!?! Glad I never saw this dreadful movie. And never will.
The witcher had the biggest chance of becoming a cultural phenomenon show. It was the first show to come after got s8 when people wanted more fantasy, it had a HUGE fanbase both from the books and games, it had a superfamous actor in the lead role who was also passionate about the source material, they had a huge budget, and it was also airing on the biggest streaming service. And of course, adapting the witcher books is the easiest adaptation. The first two books are short stories and each short story should have been an episode with a monster of the week plot until season 3, when the main story would start. That way it'd differentiate itself from all the other overpriced fantasy adaptations like wheel of time, rings of power, and house of a dragon because all of them have a ton of pov characters, complicated plot (lmaooo you know what I mean) and they try to tell a big story. Witcher isn't like that. Witcher should start with Geralt as he'd go to adventures, slay monsters and meet other characters in an episodic format like old fantasy shows (xena, hercules etc) for the first two seasons. Instead in season 1 we have 3 different storylines and 3 different pov characters and a jumbled time line which adds nothing. Netflix managed to butcher the easiest home run I've ever seen in my life. EVERYTHING WAS READY FOR THEM. But they had to hire the least talented people for this job. What we could have gotten.
Just look at the showrunner for Witcher. I knew it was doomed from the very beginning because there is nothing that could convince me Lauren Hissrich had any love for the Witcher going into the show.
In fact everything revealed shows that much of the people working on the Witcher hated it. There are several common denominators to this IP vandalism and unfortunately most people are incapable of going there.
