Seeing as they've made this game in that style, it gives me hope that they'll eventually remake the Oracle games. They were a MASSIVE piece of my teen years.
You know I didn't think about Ocarina of Time when I saw Zelda being trapped in a crystal, I thought it was a homage to Din, from Oracle of Season who was trapped by Orlox in a crystal. Ngl I thought that after we had the remake of Link's awakening for Switch, we'd get Oracle of Time/Season remake but this? Not complaining, this is awesome!
Din being trapped in the crystal was actually based on Ocarina of Time. And Zelda trapped in crystal was based on Link to the Past in the first place. However, the Oracle games made TONS of references to Ocarina. The fact that they used the names Din, Nayru, and Farore came from Ocarina of Time to begin with. There's even an unused Gerudo Ganondorf concept art from the Oracle games based on his OOT appearance. Twinrova came back from Ocarina as well.
