When I retired, I became a dog walker and sitter. I am happy to report that I am TRUSTED by all the dogs I care for. In fact I usually have to warn their owners that they will LOVE me! I have had more than one instance when a dog that I have watched will show up at my house because they want to be with me.

Hahah my dog only does one of these things- prolonged eye contact, he does not like being touched, he is called Bosco but believes his name is Bosco, Bosco, Bosco BOSCO!!!. But I am his person, only I can touch him, he does not leave for his walks till I am by his side. He is a rescue with a trauma history but I do believe he trusts me more than anyone else! And my heart forever belongs to him!
I would let my dog (Scout) sleep in my bed. The thing is that she ended up thinking it was HER bed and she was just being nice to let me sleep in "her" bed with her.

Your video is exceptional, every minute of it is 100% right on the money, I left a reply to the woman that said " She doesn't like dogs, I was very polite and understanding, believe that it just might change her thinking and opinion of our fur-babies, I do an incredibly hard volunteer job along with training, I invite anyone that has the compassionate bug to read my reply to her, if it didn't at least give it a second thought, there is no hope for change, but I did try to get into that heart of hers❤
my black pitbull loves and trusts me. i think if i gave him away or abandoned him he would die of a broken heart. i would never. he isnt like my kid, but he is family and i love him.
My dog does everything w me ! He sleeps w me & we have each others back. We have been through it all ‘ he’s my esa pet but actually knows how to redirect my ptsd moods ! We hunt we feed and watch over our horses ! It’s give n take ! ❤ my pets ! We have a bond ! 🐴🦮.
My dog does all these thongs and to think 4 years ago her nickname was " the landshark" shes a tiny terrier and was a rescue and she was so people aggressive i just thought who has done this to you. So we started small i got a creat and made it her safe spcae and in she went when people came over and ince shed calmed down id get then to give her a treat. She slowly realised not all people are bad and she does all these behaviours with me. I go out early 1 morning a week and she doenst even get out of ned and doesnt get up to welcome me home either she just pops her head up and wags her tail. Shes still got that terrier streak so i have to be careful but i love her like nothing else ❤
Dogs are truly special and gifts from heaven. I've had to say goodbye bye to a few of my recused dogs over the years. Recently, I had to say goodbye to my Sierra, (she's my profile picture) in March 2013. My heart is still broken over the loss of her. She would have been 15 later that year. She was in the late stages of renal failure. I had to have her put to sleep. That day was so emotional. She was still wagging her tail & smiling. She was happy & playful. My vet brought her a huge piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting before putting her to sleep. You should have seen her. She looked up at me as if to say if it was okay. I said, Dig in baby girl. And she did just that. She stuck her whole face into it. She had chocolate frosting all over her nose & face. She was in heaven. It was hilarious to watch her inhale chocolate cake. I want, I demand every dog to get chocolate cake with chocolate frosting on their last day on earth before going to heaven. They deserve that & so much more. NO PUPPY OR DOG SHOULD LEAVE THIS WORLD BEFORE GETTING TO HAVE CHOCOLATE!!! It should be a law. It was a happy day for Sierra. She passed away in my arms smelling like chocolate. She left this world happy because my son & niece were there loving on her, giving her loving words & lots of hugs and she had a huge piece of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.
( #2) We've been having coyotes out any hour of the day, and on every walk, im constantly looking for the coyote so i can pick my dog up right away. I'll see her look up at me while we're walking, and i know she's relying on me to keep a look out and keep her safe at all times. How i love her.
@@M.C.Blackwell Buy a 'stun gun' flashlight. My dog weighed 66 lb, but she probably would have thought they wanted to play at first. I have no idea if she would or could have fought back.

Sometimes, we say we rescued a dog ....... Sometimes, I think the dog rescues us. Dogs are the purest form of love, of companionship and of trust. Unfortunately, as humans, we just don't get these traits as perfect as our K9 companions. Personally, I would trust a dog over a person everytime.
My two dogs do all of these, but they still won't let me connect the leash to their collar and absolutely refuse to go outside for walks. So.. Yeah. 🤷♂️
not forcing an activity is a given however my rescue has an extreme fear/objection to water/baths as well as nail clipping he does loved belly rubs and cuddles however at 100 lbs, these activities are still a Huge problem even after 3 years with us how do I get a calm accepting grooming time????????
I've never tried but I heard of a woman who built a little ramp with sandpaper on it, and whenever her dog would "dig" at it, she would give him a treat. Basically filed his own nails. As for baths, my dog is the same :( He tolerates the wipes you can buy, and we have a probiotic spray that cleans him and gets off scents, and it seems to be good (note that he does not have curly hair)!

I’m the alpha in my house and both my dog and cat know it. Wolves all sleep together but every member of the pack knows who the alpha is. Don’t know where get that idea from. I’ve had big dogs small dogs, Doberman Pinchers, Akita, Saint Bernards, Chihuahuas, and more. They all slept on the bed us (I’m alone now) but I trained all of them and I’m the alpha female to them. My ex didn’t want to be bothered with training them.
