Until, like last time, he decided that he would rule the Empire in Eggman's stead, until the day he could find him and return him to power.

I love how Neo Metal Sonic speaks for a lot of fans who felt Infinite should've been the final boss. "The Doctor cast you aside before you had the chance to show your full potential. Don't expect me to do the same" Dr. Eggman represents SEGA, and Neo Metal Sonic represents the creators of this fan game.
This mod reminded me of why I loved Sonic as a kid This is the most Sonic Adventure type thing I've seen since Sonic Unleashed. I can't thank the devs enough for making this. It feels like the old Sega made this. All of the voice acting was good, but I was really impressed with how on point Infinite was. It almost sounded like the original voice in Forces.
What I like most about Metal and Infinite's partnership here is that for all that Infinite gives Metal shit for being "just like eggman", Metal didn't abandon him even in the end. For all that they argued, Metal could have tried to throw Infinite under the bus and escaped to fight another day, but instead chose to stick around and combine their powers. Even if he made many of the same mistakes that eggman did by getting too confident and not killing Sonic when he could, he proved that he is more like the real Sonic than he is just another badnick, by choosing teamwork and companionship over self preservation.
Idk why you're praising this partnership so much, it was clear Metal cared more about being the true Sonic than he did being genuine partners with Infinite. Eggman never threw Infinite away, and Infinite showed respect towards him for granting him this power and giving him the opportunity to become something more. Yeah he was sassy a couple times, but he never indicated once that was going to betray Eggman or did Eggman ever throw Infinite out. That's what I loved about their relationship in the actual game and this butchers it lol

I was kinda hesitant on this project considering Forces general structure, but this blew my expectations out of the water. I'm still surprised by the amount passion and talent this fanbase has.
It weirdly remains true that only a really bad game can unite players to make it amazing themselves. Because oh boy. Self made cutscenes, voice acting, lore, music, whole stages it's so amazing.
This was amazing damn I would pay to play this compare to getting the Og Game free any day. But on a Serious note this was nothing short of phenomenal and it's amazing on how this all came to be. Taking the complete laughable base game of Sonic Forces and turning this into Short but really well executed Overclocked Mod is beyond words. Congratulations to everyone who worked on this you guys deserved all the praise and merits from this.

In a perfect universe, Sonic Forces was the “Episode” and THIS was the game. COMPLETELY ASTOUNDING. The voice acting, the remixes, the level design in every aspect: visually, divergent-pathing, the scripted events, camera angles, seamless use of original assets and set pieces like the flaming thorns and asteroids, story-writing and tasteful call-backs There is nothing like watching Infinite get called weak and instead of exploding on them, just getting very sneery but clearly pissed off- also the casual and chilling death of a resistance squad in the jungle okay I see you 👀👀👀 The ending is so good too bc it really invokes the Generations ending while still having its own character and I laughed out loud frfr And the integration and nods to every character and their history in the series is so lovingly designed I love it so much- Eggman pitching in begrudgingly but still being a genuine menace, Silver not being familiar with Neo Metal Sonic, “Rookie” graduating to “Soldier,” Fist Bumps getting handed out without excessive verbalization or monologues about “the two of us” really emphasizing the showing of their bond > telling, it’s soooo good.
I know this is a mod, but it looks pretty fire, it's like you've added new level aspects to the game that Sega never even thought of. I give it a 13/10
The team really out did themselves, finally seeing infinite recieve better story aspects alongside Eggman and the rest of the main crew. The ending with Metal Sonic and Infinite had me laughing. Why wasn't this the actual Sonic Forces. Infinite and Metal sonic are even the final boss. Like why? Why go the lazy route and have the heroes fight Robotnik. I would prefer something like this as a plot twist. Infinite even made it clear he was working for Robotnik for his own selfish reasons.
I loved this mod, I just found the ending strange, they could add super sonic to make the fight balanced because...well...infinit and NEO metal sonic with increased powers...but nope

I am seriously happy that they gave infinite. Another chance. I really enjoyed him and Sonic Forces as well as I’m happy for metal sonic in this one to return as well. I believe both of them are really great villains and needed more screen time and all the other games.

Looks to me that Infinite may have traces of the Phantom Ruby within himself which allowed him to revert Metal Sonic to its basic state. But he decided he needed a break that he didn't want to leave their prison yet.
I'm grateful that Infinite isn't dead, I hope the story continues and hopefully Infinite can forget about revenge and Become a good person, although it is very difficult to forget that his best friend is gone because he was killed by one of Sonic friends
Wish someone did super sonic vs full potential infinite in some way and make the battles take place in different realities that could be past sonic games or alternate versions of sonic stages from alternate versions of sonic games ( for example if terios was the final design for shadow and the stages looked different in SA2)
