"Have variety in your diet"
Haha yes definitely: pinto, black, kidney, navy, small red...
Really good job with the video. I personally think the dietary essential amino acid thing is hardly relevant in legumes. I think it is exceptionally rare for people to eat legumes to the exclusion of cereal grains, animal products, and whatnot, so I think the frequency of anyone having a methionine deficiency because of their diet throughout history has probably been extremely low
Yes, love all the variety in beans! And thank you. :) I agree, I think that especially in countries like the US, this is really not a concern.
pfft... "Legume a Day" would say that! :) I have a giant pressure cooker and get my beans from a Mexican grocer for less than a buck a pound, cook 'em up every couple of months and chuck a bunch of containers in the freezer. I usually have a cup a day in the form of two lunch burritos. Yay, beans!
Thank you for watching and commenting! That is a great way to cook beans, so nice to have them cooked and ready in the freezer!
I never knew that about incomplete proteins 👀👀
Yay, glad it was helpful and shared some new info! 🫘
1 second version of the video:
