Exploring Washington's most Under Rated Trail - Bethel Ridge

- I join @theoverlandtruckstore1527 group run to explore Bethel Ridge one of the most underrated trails in my opinion. Bethel ridge offers a mix of terrain as you cross from the wet western side of Washington to the dry eastern side of the Cascade mountain range. With high cliffs and scenic views of lakes and mountains this was by far one of the coolest trail systems I've explored in Washington state! Im so pleased with the performance of my Toyota Tacoma after installing new long travel kit from Camburg Racing. The truck glides through the deeply rutted terrain with ease which made the entire experience a ton of fun. If you're looking to upgrade your Tacoma take advantage of CBI Off Road fabs sale happening now! glnk.io/kzy3/maxxpowell

Love this style of video! Happy to see the Tacoma up and running and I look forward to seeing you use more of that long travel!
What happened to regular appearances by Tyler?
I miss that guy.
I miss that guy too! He started a dirt working buisness and got super busy, and I started a marketing buisness and got super busy so our schedules never line up anymore 😵
@@Maxx.Powell so he left the fire department too?
Noo, he's still working fire. Just working the grind
LOVE this video!
I enjoy all of your other content, too, but this is the best!
Great video, it randomly popped up and I'm glad it did. We go up on hwy 12 to camp every year and always pass this turn off. We have always been curious how it looks up there so I was super stoked to see this. Thanks!
I live like 40 mins from there. Love going out and driving the forest roads. We also have some great mtb trails up in that area
So awesome. Love these videos
Gave me Toyota wrenching inspiration
Awesome Video
Nice Work and the Tacoma looks Fabulous.
Blessings to you Dez and your boys
It’s pretty neat to see my Hometown in your video, I enjoy your videos keep up the good work man!
Always so happy when I see the Tacoma in the thumbnail.
I saw some buddies posting from this and wish I came! Bethel Ridge is awesome and in my back yard. Sad that it got burned so much last year.
Hello brother ❤️
Do you have any merch anymore to buy?
Never mind I found it but never found the stickers?
Nice to see you made it up to bethel ridge! It was a nicer drive before the fire unfortunately, but still a lot of great views! You’ll have to stop at the brewery in naches next time you make it to this side of the mountains
Stumbled upon this video in my recommended section!
Next time you’re in the area take hwy 410 up to the little naches turnoff. Lots of trails that your rig is more than capable of handling.
There’s a trail in the area called “Ravens Roost” that would be a super nice drive similar to bethel ridge.
Thanks for the insight man. I'm screen shotting this comment so I remember!
Awesome freaking video🤘
Time for that FJ transfer case swap!!!
Finally got to run this route over last weekend in our 2023 Subaru Ascent. We camped up at the top of the hidden viewpoint on Bethel Ridge. Spent the 2nd night up at Manastash Ridge Observatory. Great roads with some technical areas, but mostly very rocky (and deep ruts on Bethel Ridge Road specifically).
It was fun running that trail with you!
I did this trail while doing the WABDR and I remember all of those ruts being loaded with mud. That was interesting for sure.
Nicely done
did the BDR a few years back and Bethel ridge was definitely a highlight.
Sick video max!
This looks awesome! Where is the start/stop for this trail? I know it's near Nachese, but wasn't sure of exact location. Also, about how much ground clearance do you think you'll need to get past those ruts (or can they be bypassed)?
Been up there dozens of times. I really like that area.
Enjoy that area up there. Roughly 30 guys (friends & family) from my wife’s family gather up there every year in late April for “Man Camp”. Only had one day with any rain this year out of the 5 days we were there.
Who is the diesel land cruiser?
Great video by the way. You remind me of everything I want to do but just end up with too much to do. But my 1st gen 4dr rebuild is in the works
Bethel ridge is awesome. Camped up there a few years ago.
Lovin the taco! I’m happy to be in Washington now for military purposes, hey Maxx, do you know a shop that rebuilds king shocks in WA? I hope I don’t have to send them to CA to the actual king shocks shop……..
Always enjoy going up there. Haven't been in a couple years though 😕
We’re you over by Rimrock? I may have to drive over from Spokane and give it a go. Looks beautiful.
Any progress on the manual transfer case? If I remember correctly you had one
Spent my whole childhood running around bethel ridge.....we used to hang out at rimrock down below it all the time
Yo Mr. Maxx!!! When and where is the next meetup and would a stock 3rd gen Tacoma be sufficient equipment?
Also, what kind of radios do you guys use out there for truck to truck comms?
Haha I love camping up in there, my rwd transit van makes those roads no problem
What diesel is in that lexus?
Mannnn I really wana move to the PNW you guys have the best views !
Pro Tip...clean the filter OUTSIDE of the cab...that dust bowl in the cab😂😂
Lots of fun was had especially after hours. That Waver was hard core asked for lots of info at least Social Security number was optional lol.
Although your truck is modified have you tried taking it to a Toyota dealer?
Did this in a stock ‘20 Pathfinder, took some creative lines but it was worth the effort.
I did that trail up to the antena in a stock 2000 jeep Cherokee with all season tires it’s not that bad
Damn I live in Yakima just East of there! I go through Whitepass alot.
Would be great if you posted a map of the route you took.
Yes, part or the WABDR. A couple of years ago that was very dense forest where the ruts were before the fire. There was only one way through it and that was very tight and challenging. In the middle of June, with mud, slime and ruts, it would have taken 8 hours to get that group through. So now, after the fire it is over rated, before epic.
Ive got an extra FJ tcase from my taco you should prob throw in and stop dealing with the electrical bullsheeto and have a manually engaging tcase
Max you need to include Desiree and the kid's. Your revenue will double up and views tripled. WE MISS HER. The farming channel are also super quite. ..🙈🙉🙊
What was the liability waiver thing about
Underrated is one word.
Could I do this in a 2008 4Runner SR5 4WD Stock if I'm lifted 3 inches
Where can I get in on these adventures?? I’m like 45 min away from white pass
Ok ok ok, how can I joint y’all on the next journey?!? I’m ready!!
Max why didn't you tell me you were coming?! I live in Naches!
have you heard of wonder mountain WA i just found it on google earth but my pedestrian truck could never lol
Dudes my favorite Washington trail
I would love to take my Tacoma through this!
Where is that trail?
Oh man I live 30min from there wish I knew :(
I’ve got a plain Jane Tacoma what do I need to join??
Hey man. Follow @overlandtruckstore on Instagram or Facebook for reminders and updates about group runs
Part of the wabdr for those needing more specifics
Great comfortable ride. And a plenty of side trails!
Man…. As a fellow Washington resident, but unfortunately i am used to wheeling the east side of California… “under rated trail” had me excited for a technical trail!!! Under rated in terms of views… gotcha.
Ah I can see the frustration. Sorry man.
@@Maxx.Powell dude, no worries still a good video.
I have a yellow 04 Chevy S10 4 door ZR5 4x4 I want to turn into an overlander.
Look at all of those smooth bodies .no raisins came to play ?
Not on this one. I should put together a crawler run
I almost forgot about this😂
Same!
Should have shown what everyone is running for camping gear
Where I hunt
My home area.
Knocks all of the dust off the filter meant to prevent dust from getting into his cabin while IN HIS CABIN. 😂
Thought there would be some wheeling…
Lmfao! The two guys that were baja trashing there trucks had failures the next day…go figure. Sweet job on the truck though. It’s been a minute since I’ve watched an episode!👍
Who?
@@timmuniz_dude with the blue truck threw out his alignment and what’s his pickle lost 4wd.
@@newbwheeler9777 but did I really throw it out? 😂
@@timmuniz_ hey was that you? Lol. If so, you said you did!😂
@@newbwheeler9777 😂😂
You lost me at liability waiver so you could relax. 😢
Sky's out thighs out 😂
jdm 80 series? probably doesn't have a trans cooler if he didn't add one. US and aussie 80s got them.
isn't there a trick to turning on 4wd on Tacomas? DirtLifeStyleNate and I think TFLoffroad had this issue
I have this issue on mine as well. I'm still able to activate 4 high by putting it into 4 high and turning the truck off, then back on.
I can turn 4wd on at 60mph by turning the knob lol it’s pretty straight forward
@@Ww8.3 lol. so because you don't have an issue that means that these other people don't either. ok. lol.
@@chir0pter not saying they don’t but the majority have no issue
I live in naches WA and there's a lot better trails then just bethel ridge but yes beautiful country we live in forsure
Yeah man I prefer to camp where there aren't other people Washington's kind of out of the question
Nooooo, I live 20 minutes from there!
Looks mean nothing sorry bro. Check your T case connections especially the vacuum lines.
Peeeeeeeekaboo Land Cruiser
get dem ARB Airlockers F + R MAXXX
😁
Why are you worried about getting sued?
Other adults made the choice to go.
Yeah but people suck
@@Maxx.Powell So true 👍🏻
It’s kinda unwatchable. So much camera movement and jerkiness with not a lot of thought put into it. You can do better than this Maxx.
