I used to overpursue all the time. Guess what? It never worked even once.
I look at it this way. If I ignore her when she reaches out, I am under perusing. If I'm reaching out twice or more with no positive response, I am over pursuing. When I put the invite out there ONCE and let her decide how/if to respond while I go about my life, that's the sweet spot.

Meet this incredible girl at work and after 3 years final got the nerve to ask her name and then ask her out on a date to a hockey game. so after the fist date I tried to set another date the following Sunday, which she seemed a little hesitant to commit to. Long story short tried making a second date on 2 different occasions both times she said she had something planned. so I walked away stopped texting her ect ect.....but I see her every day at work she always smiles at me and goes out of her way to say hello and goodbye, its so hard not to chase her, can't keep this up much longer

My boyfriend broke up with me three months ago and after limited contact via texting with my initiation, and two periods of no contact that lasted one and two weeks, he began to warm up to me. He even agreed to get together with me three times, but it was simply physical and he was still emotionally shut down and not ready to talk about us. However, he hasn’t been dating anyone else and he’s just taking time to be alone. I feel that since I pushed him away with my anxious behavior, I thought it might be better to build a positive rapport with him again. I also don’t want to make our relationship only a physical one.

A girl I was seeing for a couple months ghosted me, I made the mistake of hitting her up after 5 months. She didn't even know who I was when I called her. She even called me some other guys name inquisitively.
She was so confused and at theatre practice as she's a professional actor. I said Your busy I'll let you be. I thought that was that as with in your book when a girl answers and doesn't remember you she has a super low level of interest and your better off saying you must have the wrong number. Well a couple hours later she texted me that It was so good to hear from me and "that she has been meaning to get back to me but has been soooooo busy" *yeah right...*
Well being as she reached out I wasted no time and set a date. She was absolutely thrilled. I went and picked her up, we had a great time but her body language was all wrong despite being excited to see me and doing more than 80% of the talking. She's "structured" and doesn't like touched. While walking to get something to eat I said you know you are kinda hard to read (probably a mistake but at this point I really didn't care I was wasting effort and time) and she was like I see this as more platonic. From that point I just kinda fucked with her for the rest of the date being waaaaaaaay playful and teasing as I should have from the past. We had a good dinner, I took her home she still didn't want to be touched so I got like one of those side arm hugs. She was all smiling and waving as I pulled away. I sent her a picture of a double rainbow as soon as I got home and she immediately replied it was sooo beautiful. I never reached out again, It's been bout three weeks, she hasn't reached out. Been dating other women because despite reading the book and listening to the audiobook at least 5 times a year if not more for the past probably 5 years the whole PRACTICING and applying this stuff is reallllly where I lack.
The most recent girl I've been seeing Jessica came out to an event I was running sound for. She was so impressed by how popular and in command I was with all the musicians and patreons that I have a long history with in this music scene but she falls under the not "ready willing and available" as I know from people around that have seen her out with her ex. gone on 1st date with girl, we had good time, she done 80% of the talking, it ended up in kissing and she was talking in a way there can be something more and hopefully we will meet again, however she texted me twice after the date, but when i tried to made second date appointment, she never had time/busy with school (well its exam time now), i waited few days before texting her again to start chat etc, but there wasnt much effort in keeping the conversation going, she always replied with emojis etc, but never actually asked me anything for me to react to soemthing, she told me she doesnt have time because of school/grandparents and she is leaving the country for 3 weeks and basically told me that she wont have time for good 2-3 months until exams are over, but to me it sounds that she just isnt interested anymore and im struggling whether i should keep contact her every once a while or just dont pursue her at all

Valid reasons or not, if she wanted to keep seeing you she would make the time. Who knows she might contact you after 2-3 months but don't sit on it.
