Hope Legend does more of these long fixes tbh. I miss Legend streams, but watching this made me realize how much nicer it is to watch him just talk to himself and play the game instead of constantly pausing to answer questions and being derailed and annoyed by repeat questions or negative questions
@@maxpower3990 Getting an angry Legend rant here and there is fun enough, but having him constantly pause battles to answer questions or sit for 5-10 min and just talk about some "controversy" he has to explain for the 15th time that stream ruins the flow of the game a lot. Much more enjoyable to watch him just play, reminds me of pre-stream days where Lets Plays and Playthroughs was more common then live streams
Nah dude wh2 was rough, you'd have to constantly fight battles bcoz the auto resolve was fucked. even though your 20 stack was huge the game was like naaaaaah these gobbos are really strong too, best fight this one.
This. Was. AWESOME. Strategy, Tactics, Economics, Diplomacy, Economy... what more do you want in a TWWH vid? I could have watched another 2 hours at least, this was almost as good as a live stream only without the nause of the beginning of the campaign. I would happily watch 2 more of this because it just hit everything I want from TWWH content. Awesome choice on this one and sublime to watch. More of this type of content, please Legend.
I tell you what, clocking in for what promises to be a very boring six hour shift at my job and discovering Legend has concurrently posted a six hour disaster campaign video has really made everything feel a lot better.
3:46:00 This is actually the part I really enjoy because it’s really great to see someone else’s reasoning for why they’re choosing certain skills. And why they choose not to pick some others Gives me a different insight on the skill trees
Quite a hard campaign with US forces illegally looting Syrian oil and depriving that revenue to Assad. What, CNN didn't tell you that the US was illegally looting Syrian oil?
I actually quite like saving disaster campaigns cuz you usually have a very good start and it in most cases goes well so these campaigns are so much more fun to watch
i absolutely love these longer disaster campaigns been watching for years and still learn something new every time you bring us one of these I guess we all have to fuck up more so we can get more of these
This is quite the nice thing to watch on two reasons. First reason: This video teaches how players (new or old) can sort wars and generally campaign mechanics out. Second reason: We get to see Legend not start on perfect start. Don't get me wrong, I do love watching how Legend starts the campaign because it gives me an idea on what will happen in general if I choose a certain faction. But, it is strangely entertaining to watch him trying to fix and help newer players.
I quite enjoyed this video format. It's like a stream without the constant nonsense from the live chat. I'd be interested in watching a regular campaign from you in this format.
Any other content creator posting a 6h long video would make me think "no way in hell i'd watch that" but when its Legend i manage to shove that time out of my day somehow. I have no clue as to why or how your content is not only that great, but that great for 6 hours straight. Legend of RUclips might be a suitable name
I think CA made settlement trading really expensive so the player couldn't just buy settlements, but players are obviously taking advantage of this to sell worthless settlements for a fortune to the AI.
I had a Boris horde campian. Kept moving and selling settlements, you know how funny it is attacking someone to wipeout their army steal a settlement and lowered their power enough that selling it gives you a defensive alliance with them
@@BlackOptx It's hilarious because I don't ever remember settlement trading being this broken back in Rome 1 or Medieval 2. Don't get me wrong, the AI made some crazy bonkers decisions back then, but I don't think settlement trading was ever one of them. It was still exploitable but not this bad I don't believe
Yep. There are always people asking for things like selling / buying settlements, and peace / trade deals where both sides get and lose things. But the problem is that the AI just isn't smart enough, so whatever balance point the designers set, players will be able to abuse it, making the deal either one way or the other way.
Legend is amazing but I doubt he would be able to fix this mess. This campaign was already lost when they decided to recruit special russian unit but forgot they disband instantly when the autoresolve doesn't show decisive victory lol.
Love this crazy long disaster video Legend, reminds me of your older full campaign saving livestreams. If the guy doesn't continue it after you send it back, please do keep the campaign going! Always amazing to watch you spend hours saving a sinking ship and turning the whole thing around
The real challenge of this campaign was the pronunciation of essays. All honesty though, I absolutely love this format. It provides a lot of insight into how you grapple with the game's mechanics in a coherent fashion, and for people with some hours in the game but still a far cry from skilled, is better than any tutorial in terms of showing what you really can do with a grasp of the underlying systems that operate the game's mechanics. While I'm sure producing this may have had its challenges, it is and was helpful and entertaining. Thank you for taking the time to show as much as you did that can be used to turn a campaign around.
Enjoyed this disaster thoroughly! Great video as always, but just wanted to let you know that I do enjoy the response readings, nice seeing the happy ending
I like how Legend is calling all Legendary Lords by full name and is talking to his units as if he is on the battleground with them. keep up the good work i like it AND i learn a lot by watching aswell, thank you .
I appreciate the length of this video legend. Kept my work day going smoothly with some good content. Keep up the great work. Of home to start a gelt campaign

I have not yet finished the video, 2 hours in but I love this long SYDC format. Battles are fun and all but all thr diplomacy and campaign map shenanigans are both entertaining and educational, it's an amazing watch already! Especially building back up from a crappy start and without chat interruptions, it's great
When I watched this video I said to myself wow. Legend is a LEGEND. It was pretty entertaining watching the Sons of Sigmar beat back the maurading hordes. Belthasar Gelt was like nope, not on my watch!
Been watching for maybe close to four years now and I still wasn't expecting Legend to play Monopoly so very hard to fix this. Goes to show what an actually strategic mindset can do when min maxing
I hate losing units, ive repeated so many battles because I lost 1 shit unit lol. I think it comes from Shadow of Horned Rat on Playstation. That game is ruthless, very limited troop replenishment so even medium casualties can destroy your game in late stage. They fixed in in Dark Omen thankfully, unlimited replenishment as long as you have the gold.
I definitely like reading responses if you feel they're interesting enough to mention. I also really appreciate the long form content. They're nice to throw on at work and listen podcast style while I do other things.
0:01 Ferk me, it's 10 pm and I have to work early tomorrow and my dream come true, an absolute disaster of a campaign is coming true with epic proportions of almost 6 hours, omg, I am gonna snack this baby away, can't do it in one sitting now obviously, but fuck yes, Legend, you nasty bugger, thanks for pretty much making my next half week or so. Cheers mate.
Really enjoy the campaign videos. I find the battle cheese/tactics are easier to learn than the campaign which is more faction specific and more in depth.
Great video, thank you very much. It was interesting to see the battle lost. Often had similar situations, wonder what could have been done better. Maybe make a disaster battle of that.
Yay saving disaster campaigns! I binge these so much! Please keep em coming! Btw, could you attach both the initial savegame and the fixed one for us to play with?
Hello Legend! Having you heard you mention in the video that you would like to see the effect of vigour on your unit's stats, I have good news! The next update has that included! Long overdue. This is what makes settlement battles so utterly trash, because they are full of trash defending it.
