      4mm hook is recommended for size 3 yarn :)

      I haven’t made this yet, but my guess is that you can do less increases on the top of the hat!

      Hi! Not yet but i'd love to make it! If you want to make it before the tutorial, just make 5-6 rows of increase instead of 7 :)

      Yes just add more rows (don't forget to increase in the last stitch) to match the measurement ❤️ that's what i do with every project

      It might be your hook size, yarn size or tension

    Hey! I like how the squares are actual squares here. When I make it, they're like tilted diagonally. Do you have any idea why that happens?

      That can happen if you don't count the first chain 2 as a double crochet. It can also depend on the first stitch and where you place it. Make sure to follow the tutorial exactly so it turns out the same way 🤗

    Amazing and very helpful tutorial! I just wanted to ask if it fits all head sizes? I'm currently on row 10, the third row of no increases, and I dunno if it will fit my head once it's finished.

      If the top part (the first 7 rows) is about 7 inches in diameter, you're good! Since i sell these, i've tried it with all my (adult) female and male customers, and they all fit. Thank you for the good words 💗

      Hi, thank you for watching! It doesn't tell in the labels but I'm guessing it's a size 4. I've also used two strands of size 1 and it works the same. :)

      Hi, one of the colors is Mimoza gold yarn, and the other is Tunç favori yarn. I think they're both from Turkey. They're a medium size (size 4, in the video I said size 2 but I was wrong, because in the yarn label it didn't tell. I did my research afterwards)

      In the first part of the hat where we make 7 rows of increases, make 6 or 5 rows of increasing instead, and then just hdc normally, no increases. Hope this helps

      @@user-cp3ds8gl8y instead of making 7 rows of increase in the beginning, make 8 of them. So in the 8th row, double crochet in each stitch of one color and increase in the last (just like you were doing in the rows before). Then from row 9 crochet regularly like in the video.     This is confusing. If the ch 3 counts as a DC, why is it that a DC on the round requiring 2DCs in every stitch not made in the ch 3 stitch but in the next stitch?

      because then one stitch would be left out and it would create a hole. It just looks better if we use that stitch next to the chain 3 :)

      hii!! thank you for watching :) i'm so happy you get to make matching hats for you and your boyfriend! The skeins i used are 100 grams each, i used less than half of the yarn of each color. Hope this helped
