in love with this tutorial !! very very clear instructions but i didnt realize til i started row 15 that my head is not as long as yours 😭so I had to undo until row 10 and then did how you did for 14-17 and it worked great !! just wish i had known before going thru all of that LOL. thank you for making my checkered crochet bucket hat dreams come true :)

LOVE this pattern!! I did change one thing though. The first round of the brim, I believe is row 14, I did everything the same except I did front loop only because I didn't feel like the brim stuck out straight enough like an actual bucket hat. I did that and it's totally perfect now!

tysm & yes! Stop increasing on the row before I stop, and then when you're comfortable increasing again you can make your brim then! Hope that helps

hello!! absolutely love this tutorial and i'm so excited to make this hat!! i'm wondering if you've found a useful way to keep the yarn while you switch colors- i was making a checkered bag and the different colors kept getting twisted around each other and i had to fix them every couple of stitches. is this inevitable? u seem to have urs pretty neat!! thanks so much again :-)
Hey! sometbing that helps me when i switch colors is to keep the two balls of yarn far away from eachother on opposite sides of me so they don’t get as tangled up :) tho sometimes i do have to untwist the yarn but just be mindful of the two balls when working !

hey! It should totally work with cotton yarn but you might want to stop increasing earlier than I did since your yarn is 5 ply and the yarn I used was 4 ply! I hope this helps good luck

@@hayakarimah8912 both! So perhaps stop increasing on the 5th row, and then start to increase again on the 13th row or so! you are not asking too many questions either dont worry girly if you need more clarifications do not feel bad asking more!!

hello!! sorry I dont know exactly how many grams I used, but one skein in each color should be more than enough!!
Heyyy so I used size 4 yarn and I had one 100g ball of light brown and one of black and I can say maybe I used a little less than 50g of each color because I still have sooo much left I can easily make another hat with them hope this helped
