@@gball7218 the idea was that people would take a hit while unhooking which lead to an easy MoM gain. Getting a third stack after that would be easy and be immensely powerful for loopers
They should rework the requirements for the perk completely or at least make it 2 protection hits, if they are just lazy.
Mettle of man should work eith safe unhooks too, just like WGLF

Why don't killers just go straight for the locker if they realize the survivor has Head on? A lot of the times, actually, MOST of the times, Head on didn't even have enough time to activate before the killer knows they're in a locker!
Because the survivor probably also has DS. Getting stunned by DS will waste more time than baiting the Head On stun, making them miss, and then downing the survivor. [Specularii]

@@oscarfuentes603 I mean if we're looking at old Mettle of Man, it needed a nerf. Theres a reason it got one too. Now i do think that safe unhooks should award a point of Mettle of Man as well as the protection hits to make it functionally similiar to We're Gonna Live Forever so then it doesn't revolve around throwing the game for protection hits.

What counts as a protection hit? I tried Mom in a kyf and I could only get stacks from taking hits while the killer was carrying someone
Basically. whoever you're taking a hit for has to be in a chase. so they need to be sprinting and being looked at by the killer.
protection hits are very iffy sometimes and a bit unreliable.
please make Mettle of Man gain stacks from Safe Unhooks and doing a complete heal on another survivor
They tried safe unhook stacks in a PTB before nerfing it to its current state, and it was still too strong. [Specularii]

@Pablo There are only 8 safe hook rescues to go around in one game max, so it's rare enough as it is. Think about WGLF, you'd average maybe 2-3 stacks a game? Same here, on average, someone using the perk would only get 1 extra hit each game, and they're giving up another perk for it. If multiple people run it, it's just gonna dilute the amount of stacks each person gets, so the effect isn't compounded if more people run it, unlike BT or DS. Granted I don't play PTB so I don't know what it was like, but on paper, it seems alright to me. If it's still too strong, a potential change could be to put a timer on the immune hit, such that it only activates when you enter Injured state, and lasts for 30? 40? seconds, so people can't just carry around this free hit for the entire game. Alternatively, make the survivor need to mend after taking the MoM hit, so that at least it delays the game more.
Keem DS just doesn’t serve its purpose. It’s suppose to be an anti tunnel perk but even the killer hooks 2 more guys he still will get DS’d. Getting punished for fast downs is a bullshit mechanic
@@ShotgunRainstorm People would unhook and then bodyblock the killer's attack for an easy two stacks, at which point you only have to go out of your way for one protection hit.
