      Hey have you checked out the Chaos Ogres mod? Kinda baller to get proper marked chaos ogres and undivided chaos ogres as chaos dwarfs

      I'm glad you didn't strip the Lords Followers. It really makes a difference for a combined arms faction like the Empire when I can equip my lords with a Halberdier and Greatswords captain to gain 2 more infantry units per army to protect the ranged troops better. Even if it's just because I might want to use 4 cav units.
      Oh and I can't wait to finally restart my TK campaign with Khalida but this time with actual faction mechanics for her and the special local TK regiments. Vanilla can be great nonetheless but campaign like hers just turn into a drag without some stuff to collect and grudges to settle.

      Will the Lord's followers mechanic be available as usual for Karl Franz main faction, or just the Cult of Sigma(r) :D? It was one of my favourite sfo change for the empire, would be sad to see it go for Franz.

    I have begrudgingly played without SFO for months now. I prefer to never play without. But that isn’t always an option. Really looking forward to this!

    Isn't it amazing how this can be made and updated for every patch by modders but it (reportedly) takes multiple signoffs and meetings to get one line of code changed by the official devs? I really hope CA can get their crap together and streamline their process because there's no way they should have lost money on Thrones of Decay!

      Venris works mostly alone I think but he does have a team of testers? Still a very small team compared to CA's literal horde of developers.

      I don't work in gamedev, but I do work in Webdev, so I think some of my experience translates. Never underestimate the power of corporate ineptitude. Many higher ups just see dollar signs, and don't care about nearly anything else unless you can directly tie your protest to a loss in revenue. Just an example; we had a user submit a complaint that the filters were not working and they threatened to cancel their subscription. This made the CEO very upset and demand we investigate as top priority. QA confirmed the filters were working, but the specific combination of filters the user applied returned no results (as filters do). We reported back up the chain and got the following request; NO COMBINATION OF APPLIED FILTERS SHOULD EVER RESULT IN NO RESULTS. To accomplish this the CEO wanted us to dynamically show and hide filters based on what combination would produce results.
      I am sure you can imagine what a hassle this would be for everyone involved. Not saying CA has the same problem, but I would bet their devs could empathize

      I am right there with you. Maybe a low count infantry (16 models) with stats similar to monstrous infantry, and upgrades to obtain Shield of Faith, Hammer of Sigmar and Soulfire.

      There's actually a submod that ported WH2 SFO units to WH3. It's called "SFO additional units"

      Already a thing, One of the new units in SFO for the empire is "Sigmarite disciples" a support heavy infantry unit

    Hmm, this sigmarite faction mod should not have any tech related to colleges of magic nor the ability to have wizards. Sigmarites do NOT like magic - licensed or not. You should also not be allowed to venerate any other diety, even minor - so remove that tech as well as any unit or building that can be related to another diety.
    For compensation I would simply increase their leadership with 5-10 extra on top of the normal units. They are fanatics after all.

    Calling it now, the mod drops on the 14th and then CA will drop another one of their stealth patches which will break the mod on the same day, delaying it until the 16th.

    I can't play the game without SFO.... It's killing me having to wait another week.
    I've always loved right up in the beginning of the late game, Make a full 20 stack army of a grandmaster with a cavalry friendly trait and dedicate him to a specific form of cavalry. Then run across the map and see which one gets the most jobs done. I absolutely love it.

    Oh! Nice to see that Grimhammer is in Warhammer 3. I play that mod for Warhammer 2 a bunch. Finished my first campaign with this mod.
    Can’t wait for Warhammer 3 to go on sale so I can play Empire all over again.

    Another great SFO! The only qualm I have is that MD increase for flagellants&Co. They have no need for defense! MA for the Zealots.

    Will there be any Ghorst rework? 'Couse bouth Ghorst and Volkmar are in one single DLC!

      Ghorst sort of already has a niche that he fulfills really well though even in vanilla. For a while he was considered so strong that people were begging for nerfs to zombies, which they did with the changes to VC tech trees.
      I think older factions like vampire counts are just waiting for their “thrones of decay” treatment like dwarfs and empire got so their factions can remain relevant past turn 150

      @@Amenema I dont see reason why shouldnt Ghorst get a mechanic like what Skaven have. The Laboratory. And its cannon that Necromancers do that.

    AFAIK SFO already has edits for all units so it could remove ass ladders and reduce units without siege attackers damage to buildings -100% the old version just did the slow down thing a lot of ppl think fixes it

      Thats not what modding cant really fix. System need to be reworked from ground up.

      Sadly, I don't believe that works.
      The only potential "fix" I can think of would be to make most infantry able to attack walls (ergo they can't put up ladders) but have -100% damage to buildings.
      Unfortunately, the damage to buildings also affects barricades within siege battles (AFAIK), so this would mean barricades would be basically invincible.
      Additionally, the AI would be very confused by this and would send their infantry to attack your walls and they would never get through - massively reducing the difficulty of defensive sieges.
      Also, though this is largely subjective but, defensive sieges in SFO can be pretty fun as the walls are actually worth holding and can be held easily as long as the enemy force isn't completely overwhelming.
      This is because the towers do significant damage even at their base level, and climbing ladders in SFO is 50% slower (and maybe causes more fatigue?) than vanilla which means an enemy force is easier to hold off as long as its not, like, their chosen vs your skavenslaves or something like that.
      Now just need to find a way to make offensive sieges not a complete slog lol
      I will say they are MUCH less annoying if you build siege towers, though rams are worthless.
      I usually just wait 1 turn to see if they'll fight on the field instead, if not at least I have a siege tower.

    Now I'm kind of torn between Radious and SFO. Both are great, but SFO has the campaign mechanics side done better while Radious has much bigger unit roster. 🤔

    It's kind of "XD" for me that mods now get their trailers and realease windows, same as video games and their DLCs, worrying trend.
    I miss the times, when the mod just randomly dropped on workshop/nexus mods/moddb without all the fuss around it, which is completely bonkers that they are going this way...
    Like I would just take the update that lets us play within new update without all those new features, and pointless waiting. Just realise it and be done with it...
    If you want to add things... ADD THEM LATER, update the mod, don't make a product out of a mod! It's a mod, not a DLC, and I would prefer it to stay that way, since mods (I don't believe I even have to say this, since it was obvious till not that long ago) are FREE, DLCs paid

    There's only one way to start a Volkmar campaign and that's taking out Mannfred on turn 3 before or after he wipes the local Tomb Kings minor faction.
    Manny's faction gets dealt with around the time Arkhan starts sending armies and then you have fun options.

    I feel ca missed out this could have had medieval 2 holy crusade mod implemented into their campaign. The objective. They start in home land an build zealous army an capture places ..idk..that would be so fricken awesome ..ppl who are medieval 2 die hard fans probably love that
