I wish there was a well know program called "Before you get plastic surgery" that is created by nutritionists and physical trainers. I wish they could make it a mandatory program to go through before plastic surgery. Most people don't understand but the best youthful medicine is nutrition and exercise. They should also add psychologists to the program to teach people how to love their own selves.
Sherri looks beautiful today in that lilac color outfit. She looks younger than 55 so this segment was very informative and interesting. Justine please cast Sherri in your movie, you already know she’s talented and loved by her fans.
Justine is lovely but she doesn't do herself (in my opinion) any favors with the super long hair and harsh black eyeliner. I would love to see her do a soft makeover.
Yes, softer makeup would make her look younger and if she gained about 10 pounds, that would help. Im all for embracing aging, but some simpler things could make her look softer and not as harsh. I always liked Justine. Loved her on Family Ties.
She's not about looking soft or softer. That's not her personality. She's not a soft woman. She's about being edgy and badass. That's why the eyeliner.
Exactly Karyn. I agree with the OP that she could easily look better by mainstream standards and be “more pleasing” to look at, but she doesn’t want to. Not going to lie, I reflexively have similar thoughts when I see Justine, and I love looking at beauty in the world like landscapes etc, so being pleasing to look at (to a degree) is something I value personally, but I think we’re all brainwashed by this society (America exceeds most other countries in our obsession with “perfect” female appearances) into thinking that should be something all women strive for at all ages. I love that Justine is pushing boundaries and refusing to be molded by those expectations.
Her skin shows long term nutritional deficiencies. This is nothing to celebrate. I'm guessing she is vegan, just based on the quality (lack of quality?) of her skin. This is what I'm seeing... low K2 (takes the calcium out of the fluids and puts it where it belongs, in bones and teeth), bad Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio. She is VERY high in Omega 6 (plant based fats) which are inflammatory, vs omega 3 (short chain Fatty Acids, which help cellular flexibility). Her hands (joints) show inflammation, which could stem from a myriad of nutritional deficiencies... Her ears and skin show a lack of collagen, which is likely epigenetic as her lower jaw and dental crowding show low fat content (and specifically D3 and Retinoids (aka Vit A)) in her mother's diet were low pre and during pregnancy. This result in greater sagging than most women her age. Our nutrition for at least the year prior to... and during pregnancy is very important to the health of our offspring. (Ancient cultures fed child baring aged women special diets, heavy in animal fats, as they knew how important they were for future generations. Google Weston Price. Yes, he is kinda a racist dick (like most White scientists of that era), but the photos he took on his worldwide travels don't lie.) Anyhoo..as I WAS a vegetarian for 30 yrs, I've come to recognize how important a high ANIMAL protein and fat diet is to healthy aging. Animal products specifically fight against inflammation which accelerates aging. My parents became vegetarians in the 60s, and my grandmother did so in the 1940s, so our family is kind of "early adopters" of plant based diets. (It was a disaster of an experiment which included many health issues relating to deficiencies of B12, D3, and Vit A. For the record, B12 deficiency looks *just* like Parkinsons Disease.) As our GI system weakens, due to age, we MUST eat more protein, specifically red meat proteins which provides more bioavailable nutrition that is more easily accessed through absorption in our small intestine. Plant based proteins are just not enough, nor are they the correct balance for humans. (We are not ruminants or rodents which can both live happily on vegetables.) Why am I writing this? Hopefully some of you reading this will think hmmmm.... I've never heard this before. I don't know what K2 is... I don't know what O3:O6 ratios are... Please do some research into evolutionary nutrition. My family's health has suffered and the effects are multi-generational. Read "Deep Nutrition" by Dr. Cate if you want a truly good start in understanding human nutrition and how it can cause the issues you see in this video. Actually Dr. Cate would be a great interview for your show, Sherri... 👍
She had a very serious eating disorder and was anorexic for years and was a very heavy smoker as well - she looks very unhealthy and should really stop going on all these shows wihout talking about the real elephant in the room. Her terrible choices caused her premature aging - this is NOT what a normal person in their 50s looks like at all,
@@Zooey413 Her point is to accept aging. My point is that her example of "aging" is actually poor nutrition from veganism. She created the issues she faces due to the malnutrition her body has suffered through and now blames others for being "shallow". Healthy aging is beautiful and we know it when we see it...
Blah blah blah blah blah. Do you REALLY expect people to believe you? If so you should start a blog and present us with your credibility to judge others whom you don't know. Get a life.
I must say that your response which is full of being FULL OF YOURSELF is very sad. You've missed the whole point of what she's representing.... Your inner child wounds are what creates FEAR of not being enough therefore your response yelled out that you have alot of wounding which your attitude comes from.
I am surprised she colour her hair ….;) at 56 she would naturally have grey hair. But then she doesn’t do her eyebrows, which is not invasive and would make her look much better 👍🕊🧡

Well said ❤
Thanks for having this beautiful guest on your show and talking about this important subject! ❤
It is hard for most of us to accept the wrinkles but agree we should embrace all our body and just be happy to be alive and healthy.
Loved this interview absolutely brilliant

With the help of Botox
@@barb6868Well, if that's the case, where's Justine's???? 🙄
usa is way screwed up
We are all beautiful
And love lines take a long time to grow
Many of us have this approach with out a platform
As a man I can also relate to this
Let's face it! Justine Bateman is always quite beautiful for her own brother, Jason Bateman! Seriously... That's completely perfect! 😍🌹❣️❤️💕❗
The pilot was about PTA moms. the cast also included Jenny McCarthy.
She's only 3 years older than her brother Jason Bateman but they look worlds apart
She has an eating disorder. It has alot to do with her weight and lack of collegan.
My thoughts exactly. Other factors at play because the genetics are close. They resemble each other closely.
He looks great because he didn’t have anorexia or smoke heavily like she did.

She looks great, and I love that she’s talking about this.
Oh please get those face masks off the poor audience here.
She looks amazing though would never realized she was that age though. Fantastic interview
I'm going on close to 2 square feet
Get that gig Sis Sherii
56 yikes I thought much older I am 57
Years of heavy smoking and eating disorders destroy your looks.
@@MothGirl007hmmmm
She doesn't take care of herself
❤ beautiful Justine
I respect her a lot for this. That said, I am very curious if she's a drinker or smoker.
I can imagine her puffing on a cig😂
Oh 56 wow!
Lol, yep!
@@kaylam2556 were u thinking what I was thinking 🤔
Yes, it's hard to believe. She looks many years older.
