  • In this video, I'm doing a review of the Valeton RUSHEAD MAX. It's an affordable mini-amp that plugs straight into your guitar. It has surprisingly good sound and functionality. Yep... It's a thing.

    This is one of the coolest devices i ever bought for guitar, i love this thing. It's especially good for a compact live looping setup, because it bypasses the need for a pedalboard

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  Год назад +1

      My plan is to hardwire it into a guitar so I can have built in effects. I’ve never been good at live looping but I can definitely see the advantage of this for that

    Hello, I am a beginner, how can I have the sound of my pc (online course, backtrack...) and the sound of my guitar, at the same time with this Valeton that i bought yesterday please?

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  Год назад

      Are you wanting to run the sound from your pc through the Valeton to practice with a backing track? You should be able to run an aux cable from your pc headphone out to the aux port on the Valeton.

    hello captain, i wanted to know if its possible to use this as a pedal by connecting it to an amp , can u record with it too ? thx love u

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  Год назад +3

      Absolutely, it won’t be a pedal exactly, but you can run the headphone out to your amp, audio interface, or whatever else. That’s how I recorded it.

    Mine comes on but there is no sound. I've tried 2 cables and 2 different pairs of headphones. I can hear it turn on and turn off.
    What's up am I doing something wrong?

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  6 месяцев назад

      Make sure the volume is up. I’d mess with the knobs and switches and make sure it’s charged. If none of that works you might have a bad unit.

    Will this work with a DigiTech 2120 Artist guitar effects processor with an output connected to the input of the headphone amp so that I can practice through the headphones?
    Thank you

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  4 месяца назад +1

      It's possible, but you might not get stereo out of it. Also, this isn't wireless so you'd have to have a headphone cable long enough. In theory, yes it should work, but logistically it's probably not the best option for that purpose.

    • @LukasDozer
      @LukasDozer 4 месяца назад +1

      First off thank you for replying. Ok so what do you recommend I can do? My goal is basically to be able to play that unit through headphones? I have recently got back into playing after a bad accident in 2008. So I am relearning how to play guitar again and it's not going so bad, so that's where I am and I really appreciate the time you're taking to help me out.

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  4 месяца назад +1

      So I did a little digging and one of these mini amps might be the best option after all. Mainly because line out ports don’t usually send enough power for headphones so you need some kind of preamp to boost the signal. This will work as a preamp and has the headphone out built in. It might not be the most elegant solution but it should work and is probably one of the cheapest options. I don’t have a DigiTech 2120 to test it out so I can’t verify that it will work but it should. And even if it doesn’t, you’d still have a way to practice with headphones.

  • @TheBat_01

    Can you connect it to a speaker through the aux instead of using headphones?

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, but not through the aux port. You can run an aux chord from the headphone out to a speaker. I hope that answers your question.

    It is good and great value for money, although Clean is not as clean as it could be. The ability to adjust individual tones is useful.

    • @bottleshipcaptain

      That seems to be a common issue with these pocket amps. It’s tricky to get a good clean tone.

    So do you need another amp for this or how does it work

    • @bottleshipcaptain
      @bottleshipcaptain  Год назад +2

      It’s made to work with headphones. If you’re doing more than privately practicing you’ll have to run from the headphone out to an amp or PA. It’s basically an effects processor.
