I bought a balladeer last year. I wanted a guitar to travel with. Also tired of worried about leaving my Martin OM or 72 Guild D50 on a stand in my living room with ill intentioned pets around. I love it! It’s the easiest playing guitar I ever owned. I take it with me on the road and don’t have to worry so much if something happens to it. It is my main guitar for practice and jamming. Doesn’t have the depth or warmth of my Martin,Taylor, or Guild but it’s pretty close. I feel fast on my Balladeer. It’s amazing. Lots of hate for Ovations on RUclips. Nonsense. Get one. You won’t regret it.

These seemed to be mostly sold new at pawn shops back then. An affordable amp to go with your Hondo guitar you just got when you were 15 in 1986. Probably a perfectly fine amp, but we shit on them just like our DOD pedals, but turned out we were just 15 and shitty guitar players and didn't know any better.

It is good and great value for money, although Clean is not as clean as it could be. The ability to adjust individual tones is useful.

As someone who more or less spray painted for a living your technique hurt my soul, but your funny and it seemed to work out fairly well, so my soul healed. (Also, its ok to use a black primer. A base and thwn black is great but if you need to make the layer extra thin or feel like pinchin pennies. Also hoping you added a clear coat at the end. Always add clear coat. Better safe than sorry. That my two centa, and I'm off! I hear the police sirens)

How I describe the sound of an Ovation: As the first successful acoustic-electric guitar, its natural acoustic tone actually sounds just like the plugged in piezo tone. So you end up getting the same consistent sound.
