Hey all curious crafters! Enjoy this video on how to make cute little mini furniture pieces. Checkout the links to Amazon for materials and tools needed.
I think you could sell them on Etsy... people charge a bomb for doll furniture...it kinda goes from 1/12th which is doll house size to 1/6th which is Barbie/Action man etc size, then there's the 1/4 size to the 50cm doll size which people buy clothes and furniture for and lastly, the huge 60cm to 70cm plus 1/3 dolls which practically need child sized beds etc. but which people buy a lot of accessories for...look online on Amazon and eBay etc and look for BJD's and you will be amazed! People pay serious money for doll furniture!
Yeah I found that one out the other day while watching Ara Bentley make a circular staircase and use the rounded bits to reinforce the stair risers! Good tip!
Exactly what I am wanting to make for my beach hut, thank you so much for such a brilliant video, amazingly helpful and very clear. And they look wonderful by the way.thanks again, stay safe
Thank you so much for this video! I was trying to find something for me and my daughter to do, so we decided to make the picnic table. It didn't turn out as perfect as yours but we had a great time doing it.
Good tip get some fine sandpaper and glue to a lollipop stick the normal ones and one or two of the big ones and use them as sanding stick to create finer detail. When creating an X for a picnic table remember on the X's you need a small piece to fill into the horizontal of the table otherwise you have a gap. Detailing and a varnish adds to the effect on the picnic bench drill a hole for an umbrella also adds to the effect.
Thank you so much. Sadly I won't be able to add the exact measurements since I don't have these with me anymore. This was one of my first videos so I didn't realize people will be asking for the measurements. Will try to add it to future videos. Hope you can use the ideas though to make similar ones. Have a great day Anil Guarav.
Excellent, refurbishing a doll house I found and wanted to make some furniture for it. One thing if it's possible to slow down the videos, I ask or say this only because my eyesight is not what it use to be. But going to try, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful creativity 😄
Yes sorry. I always think people will get bored so I speed things up. Guess I should slow down a bit. And zoom in more. Learning as I go. Thanks for the support.
To slow down a video, you can click on the 3 dots on the upper right corner and go to playback speed. The ones above the 'normal' option are slower. Hope this helps :) (I'm watching this on mobile, so idk if it will work on a computer. Sorry haha)
question Lots of great tips, but I can't seem to use hot glue very well, do you use a special wood hot glue? I use a good wood glue but that calls for clamping and takes a long time.
Would it work with coffee stirrers? My mom bought me a ton of coffee stirrers and then she bought me this beautiful doll house. Now I want to make furniture to make the house even more lovely.
Coffee stir stick are a not as sturdy so you would need to modify the builds slightly to make sure the strucure is strong enough. But the stir sticks are still great for using them as planks to cover areas. They cut easily and you can get them for free from coffee places. I'm still thinking of making a boat with the stir sticks because the bend easily.
Yes I think so. If you want to make these popsicle stick furniture pieces a bit stronger you can add pva wood glue to all connections along with the hot glue but don't mix the two. That would add a lot of strength to them. The hot glue bonds quickly and the pva wood glue bonds a bit stronger.
Wow! This is AMAZING do u think u know how to make a basketball gole? I want to make on for my parakeet to do tricks and entertain herself! If u know how please make a tutorial thx!!!
@@CuriousCrafter thanks for this! I think I am going to start with the cupboard because I can use that without scaling up to 1/6th size. The stove is brilliant too!
This is great but i still dont know how to make these things. Let me know when you upload videos with actual instructions and ill gladly subscribe. Again, this is pretty cool, not hating
Lol, I do need to find a way to make these videos more interesting. Working on it. Thanks for the support though! Side note, I do have a cat that always seems very interested in the stuff I make and jumps at it when I test it in the garden.
Hi. You can buy both the wood glue and the hot glue sticks from craft shops, online stores like Amazon or even some general grocery stores. I have some links to Amazon in the description if you want to check it out. Buying through the Amazon links also support this channel.
I want to create pdf's of measurements and plans for each furniture piece which I could provide through Patreon or website. If there is enough interest I would seriously consider it.
Yes I’m making some packs together for the kids to do but would very much easier to have some paper instructions as they’re isn’t anything on the net 😫
I prefer to use hot glue because it sets so quickly. Maybe you can ask for a quick set glue at your local craft or hardware store? Alternatively, you can find an adult to supervise you or even join you so you can learn to use the hot glue gun safely.
@@CuriousCrafter oh... Ur right...but that thing you cut with I bet only my mom and dad can use it... They will totally say no if ask them if I could use it myself 😂
@@pasdepi They are right. You can lose a finger with that cutter. Maybe they can give you a bit stronger scissors instead? Or even better, try side cutter pliers which also work well.
@@CuriousCrafter ahhhh! I don't like to talk about those stuff, loosing a finger reminds me of blood! Ahhhh! So gross... No offense, but I do NOT like creepy stories... And blood is just all about it...😲 Sorry if I'm sending too much replies...

Tip: don't throw away your rounded offcuts. They make excellent "roof tiles".
Haha. Good tip. Yes I still want to make a house with roof tiles. They look so nice.

These are great... I may have to upscale them a bit to Barbie size but I think they will work....nice!
Thanks. I hope these at least give you some ideas to pursue. Be sure to connect with me on other social media like Instagram.
You can always use jumbo sticks!
@@sweetiekitten3571 they don't work as good though
@@joycekurtbas9872 on a 1:6 (Barbie) scale they should be just fine

Perfect props for dnd.
Cool. You should have a look at the other popsicle stick videos I made. The fort, wagon and bridge would work especially well I think for dnd props.
do you think the bench and seating would be able to hold salt and pepper shakers?

Any tips on how decorate or stain them?
What are those special scissor/shears called?
What are you cutting the popsicle sticks with?
Hi. It's called sheet metal scissors, I think. Maybe overkill for popsicle sticks but I think it works better than normal scissors.
I added a link to Amazon for the sheet metal scissors I use in this video.
