- Dozens of countries have issued banknotes for 1,000,000 somethings (pesos, dinars, marks, or even dollars). Here's a review of 9 one million denomination banknotes from my collection. I also briefly explain the events which led to these notes being produced, and what came next.
All of the "one million" banknotes in this video are photos/videos from my actual collection. All other banknotes (with the exception of the 10 cordoba ora note from Nicaragua) are sourced images.

Love the banknote videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!
the 4th dollar was actually demonetised only a few months later in 2009 and replaced by the U.S. dollar until 2014 when the "bond dollar" or the 5th dollar was introduced
Just recently got into collecting hyperinflated notes and your video made them seem way more interesting than before. I would love to see more content on them since you explain topics very well. Either way really like your youtube style and definitely subscribed
Thank you! I will be making more hyperinflation videos for sure. Thanks for the sun and the encouraging words!
There are also some Vietnamese dong which run up to millions and there was also the hyperinflated russian ruble and Indonesian rupiah....
I am not certain whether they have a million denomination banknote(because I have never seen its highest den. Banknote).
The video was really well presented, and can easily attract collectors like me👍🏻
You can also see extreme hyperinflation in Irani rial and Venezuela bolivar.
I could never catch hold of the million denominations of any country because my city has very less collectors....
But it feels like Monopoly when you stuff trillions of dollars/marks etc... in your pocket ;)
I would also like to mention about a picture about a German who has a bucket loaded of marks to buy a loaf of bread... It invoked worldwide sympathy
There are certainly several more million denomination notes out there. I know of Peru, Greece, and Poland as well, plus there's a new million Bolivar now as you say. Glad you liked the video!
@@FredoRockwell Welcome 👍🏻
I have the Zaire ones, they went up to 5 million and then the same for new Zaires. That country was a true basketcase. Mobutu was insane and was known for his obsession with leopard skin, his lips - which were gigantic in the early days, and his ugly 1960s/70s constructivist concrete monuments. He has an abandoend palace at Gabadolite and its now a famous ruin. Mobutu stole between 5 and 12 billon from the country, yet when he died he had just 4 million dollars in his account. He blew the rest.
Sounds like a great collection! Yes, Mobutu was one of the worst. The unforgivable thing is that the US government supported him for decades, fully aware of the damage he was doing. 😢
Amazing video
Thank you!
Super interesting as always, I would like to see more Soviet and post Soviet content. I always love to hear about the breakaway states (found you via the Abkhazia video as I regularly search for solid content about these 'countries'), would love one on Nagorno-Karabakh if you are ever feeling especially brave. Also you sound like you have a tale to tell us about Atatürk and the Turkish Republic, I'm guessing from your remarks that you want to retain the option to visit though! I know relatively little about him and his role in history, but from what I understand he was a huge modernising force and did a great many good things for secularism and womens rights for instance, would be good to get a more complete understanding of him. Keep up the great work!
Don't worry - there's more content about breakaway republics planned! Re Ataturk, I spent a month in Turkey as a backpacker, and his picture is EVERYWHERE. Every banknote, every government office, inside every store and restaurant (or at least that's the way it was at the time). But the word going round the backpacker grapevine was to avoid commenting on it because it was really easy to say something that could upset people. I agree - he was undoubtedly a great modernizer. I don't feel qualified to do a video about him at the moment, but I agree it would be interesting to learn more!
This reminds of the horibal histories sketch where they play who wants to be a German millionaire in 1920
I haven't seen that sketch - which surprises me as I thought I'd seen them all.
How much is un million argentina
How much sir 1 million dollors Argentina
You say you don't like it when currencies are named after their countries. So do you also dislike "Euro" being named after the region where it's used?
Less so, but I admit that's technically an inconsistency. At least when you say "euro" it's usually easy to understand this means the currency. When you say "Zaire" it could mean the currency or the country. "Afghani" could mean the currency or the adjective.
I'm from the Philippines how much the rare 1 million dollors Argentina my sell my banknote
Thanks for watching! It would depend on which banknote you meant. If it's the same one as in this video, it may be worth a few US dollars at most. None of the banknotes in this video are very valuable.
Sir how much the Argentina dollors my sell my dollors 50pcs my sell almost rare

@@larrypogimontealto5850 I really don't know. I'd suggest looking on eBay to see what others are selling the same banknote for.
