People don’t understand how loud these truly are when they idle loud but not super when driveing it’s ridiculous and I love it

Baja's are fiddly machines at times, but once you have it set to your preference and she's got her moving parts all seated up she can be a weapon.
on another note,
my brother has an original MK1 HPI Baja 5b, he's putting it up for sale.
has been completely rebuilt from the ground up using all genuine HPI racing parts.
he's added some carbon fibre enhancements which can be swapped for the original plastics at any time.
transmitter and two sets of wheels included.
barely been ran in dirt, mostly asphalt.

Got those same knobbys on 2 of my bajas, awesome! Rovan sells axle extenders, only adds 1 1/2 inch or so of width, but it helps a LOT with stability.
I will definitely check into the axle extenders. And those tires are mean. They have tons of grip
Fearless Rc, part # RV85180 will get you all 4 wheel extentions, BUT- the front ones are a pita to stay on, use lots of loctite if you put the front ones on. Have fun!@@818_Custom_Garage
I run the 32 esp in my 5b it's a monster about to change gears and put a bartalone pipe on it.... you got a nice rig
I’ve been really happy with it. I have a bartalone pipe as well. I had it on originally and it was super loud..haha kids didn’t like it, but it fit good and ran awesome. Keep RCing!!

This is amazing i love bajas never had one but they rip in a open field with there transmission absolutly awsome man!! There is one thing i would recomend since you brought it up. You have alot of RC content and im sure you will have much more the only thing that lets you feel the quality of a good RC is the remote. 7pxr feels amazing solid remote but yes very expensive but it my oppion is worth every penny and probably the most important upgrade for your 5th scales if you plan on doing this in the long run. I have the 7pxr but i think they made a new version over the last 3 years so i dont think its the best there is anymore but there are software upgrades for all futaba so you can stay up to date with your last gen remote
Also 5th scale has telementry engine RPM, temperture and what not that stuff is excessive but when you have a remote with a big screeen showing you those kind of things like having a motec dash in your camaro and turning it into a full blown restomod with modern everthing wile still being classic

That is a great suggestion and one day we may upgrade. Since the kids play with all of them, I need to keep each with a separate remote. If we end up racing them then that would definitely deserve an upgrade. Thank you for all the suggestions and positivity!!!
Hello love ❤️ Awesome vid! I’m coming from FPV drone building, I built the 5B about 2 months ago and been having a blast! Do you have a couple other kit builds in the 1/5, 1/8 range that you could refer me too! Judging by good ole Google, 1/5 build kits are pretty much non existent lol
Thank you!!! I agree, there aren’t much in the 1/5 scale…in the 1/8 scale the race buggy and truggy are usually kits. I really like the Tekno EB 48 and ET48 kits. They are extremely nice!!! I’ve Also pick up rollers sliders and done my own things with them as well.
Quick Question. I noticed you also have the Losi desert buggy? Did you get a bunch of problems with it like. a lot of other people? I ordered one but cancelled and ordered the 5ive instead...
I had zero issues with the DBXL 2.0, it’s super fun. I know some have had issues with the fuel tanks leaking, but i didn’t have that issue. It’s been great even after the engine upgrade.
You can get a kill switch that runs on 2 channels. The Switchblade Killswitch has a 2 and 3 channel version of the switch.

I got the Super Bee kill switch from DDM. Just turn off my 2 CH transmitter and the engine dies. Plus the engine won't start if my transmitter is not on.
That is awesome!!! I almost went that route as well. I think in my subconscious I wanted to upgrade the controller so I said I had to use the MOD kill switch..haha. Keep safe and have fun!!!!
Just go to Jenny RC and pick up a SLT3 radio and receiver. Don't need a kill switch. Don't bite the bullet.
I had the DX3 which is great! But wanted the extra safety so ended up getting a Dx5c. Figure I can use it on some of the other vehicle’s
Have you checked out the fly sky fs-gt5. Fairly priced and a great transmitter. Great vid Thank's for Sharing.
I was checking a lot of them out. Figured most of what I have is all Spektrum so figured since it had the 5 channel sr515 I’d just get a nice transmitter to match. The fly sky setups seem nice and agree they are fairly priced!!! Thank you for the feedback and the positivity!!
Man this is sick! How much does this thing cost all in? I know the frame kit is $750.
It’s not inexpensive….you still need a complete engine, 2 servos, battery, transmitter and receiver. I was able to save a little since I used a take out motor that I modified, and I had some of the electronics. If you can find a good used motor that will help a lot

They are different animals. One being 4WD vs 2WD. They are both very fun and very different. I enjoy both of them a lot

18/56…18 pinion and 56 spur. I’m running the DDM hardened steel gears

You could set it up with a micro switch possibly. Definitely would need the failsafe set to full break which none are from the factory.

It’s a zenoah g320 32cc out of my Dbxl. I did an ESP race ported head with an OBR 1254 carb. It has a DDM dominator rear pipe. It’s a super fun car and very snappy.

We checked that as well. Almost pulled the trigger. We just have so many RC’s with Spektrum receivers so it made sense. If we get another one that may be the next option. Thank you for the suggestion!!
