Good to know. I came from original to 3 and decided to try SE last year because a lot of the things 6 offered I knew I wouldn’t use-I do miss that I don’t have always on though. I have always had the 38/40 so when I upgrade to next one the larger display will be appreciated. I use the infographic modular face so have a number of complications and larger display will make it even easier. My favorite, which is software upgrade, is the multiple timers.
Same. I have smaller wrist for a man (idk why lol) and the larger Apple Watch always looked weird. It's oversized on my wrist and sits crooked because of my wrist bone and it being so large. So I got the 45mm first and took it back and got the 41mm. I think it fits my wrist better and the size and screen feels just about right. I agree, the 41mm is HIGHLY underrated.
I came from a S2, so this watch was a huge upgrade! I went with the 45mm and I am happy. The battery, always on display and added sensors made it worth it for me.
I came from the series 3 which I handed down to my mother. Series 3 was solid, still was going strong. I upgraded to the series 7 and I honestly love the watch. I tried the 45mm and it felt too big for me so I got the 41mm and it feels just right and it doesn’t feel like I am compromising screen size. I had the 42mm for the series 3 so I needed something comparable. I really suggest buying this watch if you’re coming from a series 3-5 tbh.
I like the video a lot, very nice as always. Ive set up for the watch faces t o change when the focus mode changes. So at 6am work focus goes on and my watch changes, when I get to the gym workout focus comes on and the watch face changes and so on.
I’ve just ordered a cellular 7 and my plan is to ditch my phone (leave it at home as much as possible). My New Years resolution will be to come off the last bit of social media and use technology less- it sounds odd to get the Apple watch I guess but I think it will help as it’s very much like an older phone in that it does the basics and little bits of other stuff. Rather than newest phones that do everything (with the phone calls/texts just a small part).
I upgraded to the cellular 41mm series 7 from the series 2 and I felt the difference as soon as I wore it. I use it for calls replying messages and reading emails occasionally and I found out that I use my watch more than my iPhone and in the night my phone battery is at 60%
Good video! I’ve been on the fence about getting one for health tracking and music with on-site jobs but I do not want notifications or the stuff where it tells you to stand up, sit down, how long to wash your hands…. Last smartwatch I had was a pebble steel haha
You have the exact one that I want to get same colors and everything. That was the exact strap that I want to get with mine same color and everything. I’m glad I finally saw somebody with the midnight and the black leather strap now I know that that’s surely what I want to get although I was considering the green. Thanks for the video!
While I have drafts and things now on my Series 7 in apps, I don’t know how to add them as complications because they don’t appear in the list with other complications
I am just thinking about getting an Apple Watch and this video was very helpful. I like how u really tailored the Watch to your lifestyle and how it’s more than just a watch. Now that I’m getting more tired of always being on my phone it’s nice to know there is an alternative!
I have an automation for setting watch face to Infograph Modular at start of workout too but the Workout app stays open so I don’t see the watch face I want unless I manually keep closing workout app. Any idea how I get the watch face to stay visible until end of workout?
A traditional leather band and actually the same faces, I didn’t know about the shortcuts thing about swapping them so I’ll be adding that to my setup.
Siri watch face and the 44mm Nike Sport Loop in black - it‘s so comfortable, the reflective thread looks awesome and i love the added functionality in the dark (if i would have known that they were replacing it to show the logo this year i would have stocked up on them 🤦♂️)
Could you do a video on things you’ve done on all your devices to help deal with anxiety and ADHD? I personally would find that really useful and I think a lot of people would too, I notice every now and then you make reference to and explain one bit or another of how a particular thing helps but I’ve also noticed you gloss over other things as I assume it’s because you think it’s not that useful to the average viewer.
@@ChrisLawley This is a great idea. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and have been looking into the Watch as a way to keep me on track, reduce phone usage, etc (and of course because of of hyperfixation and impulsivity!)
Are you able to disable notifications for particular WhatsApp groups for example please? Or would you have to do that on the native app and have them disabled on the phone too?
I never thought about using shortcuts. I love having multiple faces and swiping between them to get the most out of wearing a digital watch but i'll look into using shortcuts.
Just like you said it takes time to get use to the keyboard buttt is so easy to use and is a life saver bc I can’t use my phone at work n I type sentences so quick now n it dews good using the keyboard
2:29 - i must say your desk setup is excellent. i love your setup. i was always sceptical about an entire ipad workflow - especially due to the limitations of ipados15. but after seeing your setup evolve, it makes me want to ditch the pc build and go full mobile and portable !
Recieved the Apple Watch Series 7 for Christmas. Upgrading from a Series 3 which i gave to my son. Why is there no Notes app, or quick note on Apple Watch?
I’m brand new to Apple watches - just purchased the 8. I’ve had it for a week, and my goodness I think it could run my life! I’m certainly encouraged to do far more exercise. I love all the encouragement I receive. I’ve had Fitbits previously, but this is on a whole new level. I need to keep watching these videos so a big thank you for your helpful advice 👏
Hi, new subscriber here. What size is your Apple Watch? Is it 41mm? It fits perfectly on your wrist. By the way, congratulations for the channel, very good content!
Thinking of getting my first Apple Watch It would be useful when walking and at work. If you go walking and leave phone at home, and you receive a call, what happens? Does both phone and watch ring? Is it a case of which devise is answered first takes priority. And do apps on both devices sink. Eg step counting. Will it be consistent between what shows on phone and watch? Also, any apps to use for calories counting. I like to enter what I eat to count calories, but again, they need to sink and match between phone and watch depending where and what I’m doing throughout the day. Thanks
Tryin to use my SE with a shortcut to activate a playlist on the phone, all I get is return to the home screen , the shortcut works fine on the phone..am I missing a step for the watch to work the same shortcut ?
I had a fitbit Charge 3 that I was actually pretty happy with until the screen just decided to slowly stop working over several days (Even though I did pretty much keep it on for almost a year and a half). Now I've got this Series 7 and hopefully it holds up as well as the fitbit did. I did like how fitbit had everything in one place but with a few apps this seems to work just as well
Need it to work on iPad mini 6 cellular. Why? Apple Pay, notifications for larger device rather then smaller (less pulling out) , vibration for calls and texts…. ECT…
Hallo Door u voor de mooie, goede en duidelijke uitleg, ik ben nu over gestapt van de Apple serie 5 aluminium 44mm naar de apple watch series 7 stainless steel graphite 45mm. Just got my series 7. With the always on display, am I wrong to be worried about screen burn in? I like it on, it’s definitely nice, but burn in and the hit to battery life worry me when it comes to life of the unit as a whole. Any thoughts?
The screen image dials down significantly although it is still on when you are not looking at it. Therefore should not expend battery or cause burn in.
I have the 41mm and have some severe battery burn with the AOD. I turned it off. Couldn’t even get through the day with it on vs my Apple Watch SE from last year. Granted it didn’t have AOD, but I never had an issue with battery life.

Or do I need to download these songs into my Apple watch?

Agreed, I have boy sized man wrists, and I like the unobtrusive size of the 41mm. My iPhone is the largest size anyway.
