- I received some free Cigar Boxes from my local cigar shop, so I decided to repurpose and upcycle them for my needs. I've been wanting a writing box or a wooden box to store my writing supplies, so this was the perfect opportunity. I was also inspired by many others, since cigar boxes seem to be a classic way to store items. I hope you enjoy the video!

Nice video. I can’t believe how many beautiful wooden boxes just get thrown away!
Mary Hodges thanks! Me either! They had a huge pile. I guess nobody was really taking them. That’s probably why they encouraged me to come back.
I have several Cigar Boxes that I use for pen storage. When you get the boxes from the shop, keep the thin sheet of Spanish Cedar that many boxes come with as an overlay for the cigars. It is a natural moisture barrier and smells wonderful. If you want removable, slotted pen trays for the bottoms of the boxes, or to make multiple layers of storage, check out GoPens.com. They are the cheapest I have found .
Thank you so much for the suggestions! I didn't notice any because I ran in and out, but I will be sure to check next time! I will definitely check out the website if I decide to upgrade the bottom storage!
Fun idea. Now I want cigar storage boxes haha. Good video.
Sicario_Camisado thank you!! Haha honestly it makes me so happy just to look at them on my desk 😊
Super cute and functional! 😉
Meline Meaux thank you!! 💓
My area charges, $1,$3, and $5 depending on the box. I’m addicted to collecting them!!
That’s not bad at all! They are gorgeous and perfect for crafts and storage!
I put all my craft stuff in it plus made a couple jewelry boxes
@@patsisota6655 Oh nice! I will probably start doing that too, because I got some new stationery supplies.
How did you remove the stickers? What is your process?
I just peeled them off! If the stickers won't tear off properly, scrape them off with a firm but not sharp object, as to not damage the box. Honestly, I believe I just used my nails. If there is a sticky residue, rubbing alcohol works perfectly fine.
How did you get that sticker off???
I use a hot iron and alcohol. Gentle with scraping, sand a bit and prime the entire box with chalkboard, or white primer latex.
