@@vishnuaravind2159 I didn't buy the seat because it was not available at our local dealer and I was in a hurry at that time because of my planned trip.
I use a premium seat for my interceptor but it’s as same as the stock one. I get the numbness feel exactly after 60 or 70 kms in both the stock and premium ones. I have doubts now whether the touring one is genuine. Is there a way to figure out? Or is it not suitable for all?
It will depend as seats are a very personal thing and what suits one person may not suit the next. Another factor is that if you only ride similar distances and only occasionally, eg once a week, your backside and supporting muscles won't get conditioned to riding, so the more you ride the better it will get. Also, seats need time, and km, to break in and do improve over a few months. Also, if you purchased the seat from an official dealer or supplier it should be genuine. If you buy from an auction or trading site, at a temptingly low price, you take a chance as items listed as genuine, may be copies and of inferior quality. I hope this helps.
My 2020 INT650, I immediately changed out to the Touring Seat which looked exactly like the original diamond pattern standard seat. At 18,000 miles it was worn out and bought another new Touring Seat which looked exactly like the original diamond pattern standard seat. Recently at 32,000 miles, that seat felt worn out, and riding through Tulsa OK stopped in the Royal Enfield dealer and bought a new Touring Seat. I was disappointed at the new ribbed look instead of the original diamond pattern look, butt my butt doesn't care what it looks like. It just enjoys the ride.
@clayonroad i am planning to buy interceptor 650 ( also looking at other options). The 2 hour test ride with standard seat made my butt hurt so bad that i temporaily decided against buying the interceptor just for this reason. I noticed that apart from the seat, the saddle bars near the tank are too wide to make me comfortable at 5'7" ( 5'8" with shoes) . Will the GT touring seat solve this problem ? Also how does it compare to the new deluxe touring dual seat by RE ? The showroom may not have all seats available for me to try before I buy and so will need to make an informed decision myself before placing the custom order.
@@clayonroad You got that right. If you're on the heavy side Interceptor seat be better as you sit more vertical putting more weight on sit bones in your ass as GT you are sitting more forward & some weight is on your wrists so the Interceptor seat is more suited to Interceptor unless you skinny.
Nice comparison, but somehow, GT seat doesn't go well with the overall interceptor design, it does look a little out of place! That's why they have 2 different seats for 2 different styles of bikes. But yes, it's a personal choice!
I measured the two replacement seats, and noted that the GT seat is shallower towards the front compared to the Interceptor touring seat, and thus contains less padding.
No one's done a video on a comparison like this. Nice one.
thanks man ☺️
Could we please get subtitles on this for your international friends? 😊
This is exactly what I was looking for. You covered all the points.
The much needed video!
Thanks ✌️
It’s a great comparison bro.. keep doing the videos..

Nicely done video...
Can you try *black deluxe touring dual seat*... it's designed for interceptor by RE and better than GT touring seat.
Apologies - not able to understand completely but what is the verdict?

I have GT touring seat in my interceptor and i had covered it with a water proof seat cover, no such rain issue
Can you share what rain cover have you used??
@@7311mohit bro don’t know the brand, a local seat cover shop guy has made it

Hi, Can we install interceptor touring seat on classic 350?
Do you also edit voice, I tried to record video while motovlogging but I always get too much exhaust noise of my bike. I have RE Meteor
Is pillion comfort better ok continental gt touring seat compared to oem seats provided on gt?
Have you recently buffed the engine. It's really shining❣️
Thanks man, but the fact of the matter is…. its just a new bike 😅
@@clayonroad thought so🤪
i can’t understand language, please someone tell me which im is better ?
The Interceptor Premium Seat be better bro & more grip.
The Gt one can be abit slippery.
For me its the continental GTs seat.
Can’t ride on interceptor’s seat anymore. Try both before buying, everyone has a different anatomy.

Hi ,
This is what I was looking for thank you so much, is there any modifications is required to fix GT Touring seat to interceptor ?
Not needed bro

Nice review. Pls let me know if you intend to sell of the Interceptor touring seat :) I will buy
Please DM on insta.
Please give the link of the helmet that you are wearing bro
I bought it from a store in delhi
Which exhaust are you going to install
Any one of these:
1. AEW 102 stainless steel
2. POWER RAGE stainless steel
3. LONE RANGER stainless steel
Hii mere pass bhi gt continental bike hai dost kahi raid par jana ho to bata dena am ready
cool, chalte hain jaldi hi.
Nyc 👍🏻
Part number please..
Jo normal touring seat h wo ye log pehle 4,000 ki bechte the maine li thi 4000 me touring seat us time wo ek hi touring seat aati thi 🥲
mehengayee 🥲
I have interceptor touring seat .. I bought it recently for my gt ....if anybody wants it ..do reply me !!
Hi I was interested in the seat.
Looks wise I would prefer interceptor touring seat over gt seat. But I understand it totally depends on your choice.
no chingues no entiendo nada
Gt touring seat not that good it pain even if we only ride for 50km
So either a pillion should ride the bike or the rider should ride the bike!! 🤣🤣 one is pillion friendly & the other is rider friendly.
I measured the two replacement seats, and noted that the GT seat is shallower towards the front compared to the Interceptor touring seat, and thus contains less padding.
Absoultely correct and that's why its better. Stiffer seat = happy butts while touring
@@clayonroad The fact that it's narrower doesn't mean it's firmer. It seemed noticeably less comfortable than the Interceptor design, to me.
My butt told me GT’s seat is more comfortable. I gotta listen to it 😅
@@clayonroad Good that you tried both.
