    I love that Eastman is using what they have learned from Bourgeois to take affordable guitars to another level!
    I don’t even own an Eastman and don’t need another guitar but I still love seeing this as a guitar lover !!

    I am the proud owner of the very same 222 deluxe gold burst sample in this video and picked it up shortly after this video was recorded. The sound is absolutely incredible! I was going to get a Taylor American Dream until a friend convinced me to try the Eastman BEFORE I purchased the Taylor. My friend was right, the Eastman actually sounds much better than the same tone woods Taylor American Dream, namely the solid ovangkol sides and back. Thank you Acoustic Shoppe!

    As a general rule when I’m shopping in guitar stores, I gravitate towards the satin guitars. I find that they punch way more than gloss guitars. The gloss is gonna be sweet and sing, but that’s really just not my tone. I find that the satin finish allows that wood to vibrate SO much more than a gloss does.

    Loving the E2D-Deluxe and the E3D-Deluxe....gloss on the Ovangkol looks classy in my opinion. Lets get some good vids on these before they are out the door. Thanks guys 😊

    Really lovely to watch this video guys. I have been a long time fan and supporter of Eastman guitars and was blown away by these at the NAMM show. Our stock has only just arrived in the UK and I couldnt agree more - They have almost undermined their own incredible range by bringing these options under £1000. Everything from PCH through to these deluxe models - I find it hard to believe why people are still brain washed into buying Taylors with laminate back and sides..... anyway.... Wonderful playing and love your style. Nice to see people who actually seem to believe what they are saying! Yep... kinda rare these days it seems. Anyway.,... Hi from the UK ! :)

    I have been jonesing for the E10SS now for quite awhile, but that new E1SS-dlx may just suffice….. I have a yammie llta that I absolutely love, but I really miss the slope shoulder sound, and that e1ssdlx would scratch that it h for almost half the cost. Thanks for this video! I have been dying to hear how these new models sound.

      @AcousticShoppe I forgot to ask a question in my previous comment. I know in these dlx models they changed the body to gloss finishes. Did they also make the necks a gloss finish as well or are they still the satin like finish? I am assuming the ac models are probably a gloss neck just like the ac322ce’s on up, but what about the dreads/ss/om guitars? This would be a major factor for if I were to buy one as I tend to sweat when it’s warm and then my palm sticks to that gloss finish. Thank you!

      Nevermind @AcousticShoppe, I was at my local shop yesterday and they got a whole bunch of these deluxe’s in. Holy smokes, I played the e1ss-sb deluxe next to the e10ss and I was shocked to hear and feel just how similar these two were. Wow I am in love. I played quite a few different models and I love the new deluxe models. That goldburst looks killer on the ac222ce deluxe also. Just for anyone else who cares like I do about the necks, the deluxe dreads neck does not feel like satin, but it also does not feel like a true gloss neck either. It is very playable and non sticky like a satin neck would be. The AC122ce deluxe and AC222CE deluxe are gloss necks though. I really love the sound of these new models grand auditoriums a lot, but I think I just might have to make the e1ss deluxe mine. Wow it sounds, feels, and plays way above it’s $769.99 price tag.

    I presently own an E2OM and an E1OOSS and have owned 8 other models. While I own a number of other American made guitars, Eastman truly does a great job producing a well made guitar across their line. They are not n the class of American made but boy they are good.
    Thank you for your videos

    The tops of DLX: AC122CE, E1OM, E3D and E1D-12 look much darker than not DLX models, are they termocured?

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  4 месяца назад

      I believe Eastman is switching all of their "E" Series instruments to Thermo Cured tops, so some of them should be, yes.

    I'm looking at buying my first acoustic soon and keep coming back to Eastwood but I'm actually not a fan of the gloss finish. Budget is around $500 so not sure which models are in that price range that are good

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  3 месяца назад

      We fully believe no matter what the price point is, Eastman has great options. They truly make a hand-voiced instrument and their quality control is outstanding. So just know, no matter which model you choose, they are great when compared to other companies. For under $500 Eastman has their PCH Series, they fall around the $350ish mark because they are their laminate guitars. They also do pay less attention to the PCH Series, that is why their price is so low. If you can push your budget a little more, the E1 series upgrades to an all-solid guitar and they price at $599.

    Do these new AC122 and AC222 DLX models have a gloss neck? I thought the OM DLX model has semi-gloss or satin neck.

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  17 дней назад

      Yes the "AC" models have gloss necks, it has to do with their body shapes. It appears all Grand Auditorium models that have gloss bodies have gloss necks as well. Whereas the "E" series guitars of OMs/Dreads/Parlors have satin necks no matter what the body finish is. I just looked at some other models in the store and I also noticed that the Travel DLX models have gloss necks and the Luthier Series OM has a gloss neck. Honestly not 100% why they choose to do it on some models over others. Some other history is that "E" series guitars used to have gloss necks and they switched that over in 2018-2019ish. Hope this helps!

      Let's not act as if eastman is a cheap guitar by any means. It costs quite a lot.
      The best way to describe it (i saw on reddit): if martin doesn't have the 'martin tax' it'll be priced similar to eastman (although i think objectively martin would be more expensive).

      Unfortunately, the model in the video is the only one we have gotten in so far and it went to an order placed before yours. Since this is a newer model, they can certainly take some time to get it to us but we should hopefully be seeing it soon. I'm sorry about the wait but know it will be worth it! We'll absolutely let you know as soon as possible when it arrives and passes our inspection.

    These guitars are JUNK! Bought a limited edition classic for $800 and 2 years later it has such a huge bow in the top it’s worthless. It was stored just like my other 10 guitars so it wasn’t anything I did. Have fun with your expensive Chinese guitars.
    I just bought a Framus from the 60’s that’ll make my old guitar sound like shit. And for a fraction of the price.
