The San Antonio River Walk (also known as Paseo del Río or The River Walk) is a city park and network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of San Antonio, Texas, United States. Lined by bars, shops, restaurants, nature, public artwork, and the five historic missions, the River Walk is an important part of the city's urban fabric and the city's second-most-visited attraction, after The Alamo.
The River Walk is a successful special-case pedestrian street, one level down from the automobile street. The River Walk winds and loops under bridges as two parallel sidewalks lined with restaurants and shops, connecting the major tourist draws from the Shops at Rivercenter, to the Arneson River Theatre, to Marriage Island, to La Villita, to HemisFair Park, to the Tower Life Building, to the San Antonio Museum of Art, to the Pearl and the city's five Spanish colonial missions, which have been named a World Heritage Site, including the Alamo.

I've heard of the San Antonio River Walk, but I didn't know it is that beautiful.
I really like how it looks different every few yards, but it still forms a eclectic but coherent whole. And of course, colorful, ambient lighting like that makes everything look cool.

OF COURSE IN THE SUMMER ALL.THE FLOWERS ARE BLOOMING ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS .
This is just a portion of the central Riverwalk. The Riverwalk is developed for about 15 miles through the center of the city reaching several historic neighborhoods and arts districts. The Pearl, Southtown, King William, River North/Museum Reach are also filled with amazing architecture, landscape, and vibrancy. This is a great video but it doesn't show the extent of the Riverwalk which meanders towards the San Antonio Zoo north of downtown and all the way south towards the San Antonio missions national historic park.

@@TheLifeofJake oh right on brother, I'm from California. I have loads of family in England, I been 3 times. In London ; barking, ilford, seven kings. And more in Birmingham as well. I absolutely love England. My relatives visit here every few years and I'm always the master tour guide for them. I was a long haul truck driver for 2 years as well so I've driven Criss cross this country 100 times to all the lower 48 states so I know my stuff. Very Cool video. I live in Houston just 3 hours away from S.A. Really good camera work, you covered a lot of ground. Where you using a DLSR or camcorder. You have some really cool lens flares in your video. Just a thought here, nothing else. I wonder what your video would have looked like if you would have used an Anamorphic lens. Otherwise very cool video. I was really surprised to see so many people not wearing a mask considering we're under a pandemic. Years ago I use to live in Austin which is an hour away from S.A. I would often go to S.A. on a Friday or Saturday night. Some of the restaurants that line the riverwalk would be pack with people eating or waiting for a table. It was always so much fun. Sometimes it made it hard to get by someone waiting or walking anyway. Going down memory lane. At river center mall at any given time day or night inside or side was always jam-packed with people. I (we) stayed a night there at The Marriott, we partied at Dick Last Resort til like 1 am people everywhere!! ......There nobody WOW Thank you for sharing!

I really enjoy all your vlogs. But being a Healthcare Provider I have to ask... does no one in San Antonio wear a mask or follow social distancing guidelines?! I only saw a handful of people wearing mask and the other ones that were wearing mask weren’t wearing them properly. But besides that, that part of the city is beautiful and very colorful.
The person who created this film may not be from San Antonio and wouldn't be able to speak for the citizens of this city. San Antonio is a top tourism city in the US, as well, and people will come here and possibly not follow the regulations that are set. I have lived here for almost 20 years, though, and I can tell you that this city takes social distancing and wearing masks very seriously. You simply can't enter any establishment without a mask on and there are social distancing markers on nearly every public floor. If you go to a restaurant, you can sit at your table without the mask and you are separated from other tables. Moving about the restaurant, you are required to put the mask back on. Most people do not wear masks outside in the open air. What you are seeing in this video is the Riverwalk in a rare state - basically empty. All the walkways that you are seeing here that are nice and clear in this video would normally be so packed with people that it can be very difficult and slow to get around. The river boats are half-full in this video, probably under the same standards as restaurants.

The most boring so far
Was at the riverwalk last week. What a dump! I'll never be back. City of San Antonio should probably get a grip on the once great place to visit. More people begging for money than when I'm in the Philippines. The smell of urine is abundant, homeless people sleeping all over the place. I'm not hating on the homeless, it is what it is and I'll never return. I lived in San Antonio for many years and this is a bad situation getting worse it seems. I have no desire to even visit downtown San Antonio anymore.
No one from the Philippines is qualified to criticize a 1st World City... that's not how it works. Actually it would take you several lifetimes to work your way up to criticizing maybe Mogadishu or Kinshasa.
It's nowhere near as bad as Austin
