Just when I think this can't get any better you smash it completely. I look forward every week to seeing your next adventure.
martin allen haha thanks dude ! Got lots more plans yet 👌 thanks for watching !
gujca
I know this is a rather old video, but I was surprised to see you not using the old salt trick for the razors, and particular reason why?
16:24 You said it was a Killer Bass bait. Does that mean it is a good bait for Bass? Because here in the US we still say (well I don't) killer as in meaning it's good
martin allen you have a very nice smile ☺️
This guys happy attitude is contagious. Like you literally bashed your finger and then chuckled at your own joke. Omg call me lets go foraging together
When ever I see big ass crabs I like to give thanks to our ancestors for having the stones to eat a pinchy sea spider. Thanks fellas.
That’s a Alaskan bull worm from spongebob
And its pink!
Big scary and pink
That reminds me of sandy...the squirrel...
Zzz;ff tu see tc wellsorep owas
Arion is the pe pregnant again today
didnt think I'd be so attracted to a random man cooking crab. but my god.
begonethot
spicy tofu so true. I’m an old lady but the kid looks like son-in-law material to me!
Yeah until you have to live his life and not have him a part of your elitist needy materialistic life then he won't be so damn attractive and that's why I think the dude's awesome
Im a straight dude BUT he has fresh seafood.
He says baby. Very attractive haha
This is bad! Baaaaddd, I tell you! It’s 1am and I’m gagging for fresh seafood now. Nothing remotely interesting in the fridge.
Same
one tip is.. Use the water from the ocean.. it gives the seafood a great flavor.. especially crab
And that trap my friends... is the krusty krab.
It's funny because the Kristy crab is really a crab trap in the show lol
IG: ohhitznene that was the joke
@@uhsepevaldez8470 you don't say????? no way I didn't know
Rarely do i see the name larissa anywhere. Besides when i see my sister.
Uhsepe Valdez after 20 years someone figured it out
Favorite quote "Any creatures you're not 100% sure of... Don't eat them."
It's good advice!
Not unless you're "East Asian", then everything goes😑 😞😞
Then later "I don't 100% know what this is but I bet it tastes good all the same"
If I could just move overseas and have a lovely place and lovely fishing
Add some white vinegar to the pot and the meat will release from the shell easier. Fun video. Enjoyed it very much. Happy foraging.
This was a thoroughly entertaining video. Glad I stumbled across your channel. Almost died when you said " Evil little things they are" to those little worms.
9:22 "Get in the bucket"
Hmm... why does that sound familiar?
*Cuts to Swedish man yelling at fish to get in a bucket*
only real ones know🤫
Please elaborate
Maths relate to science shit!!!!
Dawt Kom pewdiepie
Would love to live near the sea! Did for 4 years while I was in the US Navy, but I miss the scent of the salt water in the morning! (those who've never lived near the ocean just wont understand)
Would love to be along the ocean again, but I'd never be able to do the foraging like I used to (end-stage emphysema), but if anyone gets the opportunity...do it! You'll never forget the experience!
You buy the house and rent me a room ill do your foraging for you
Your starving me to death ! Over here eyeballing my mystery snails in my fish tank. LOL
Anyone else notice the very sad crab giving up at 5:41?
His life was flashing before it’s eyes...
😢humans are eating everything!! They are alive and want to live too!!
I hardly doubt it even realizes what’s even minutely going on, but it’s still weird and timely
lol
Thomas Konthoujam they will get over populated if not killed and it doesn’t really matter if it dies. Their at the lower end of the food chains for a reason and taste good too
Jae Summers , absolutely correct! And they’re frikkin delicious to boot!
25:24 - Lol we have family dinners and everyone's always talking. My mother says that you know when everyone loves the food because the noise dies down really quick after the plates are served, you only hear munching and no talking! So that crab must taste delicious
You can go to the best seafood restaurant but you can never beat finding and cooking your own seafood.
I like this guy, the joy he has doing this. Liked the video and subscribed.
And he found it all himself, didn’t cost him a cent from the grocery store! 👍😃
Cook the crabs for a shorter time. It won't stick. Love the gather and cook. Made me hungry!
Re watching all the videos because of the drought of videos due to the bad weather 😂 I'm still here baby! WHOOOOO
I like the way you carry your cooking gear, and eat right on the beach. It does not get any fresher than that. As much as I love seafood, it would not do for me to live there. Thanks for the great videos.
This channel is a gem, so glad i found it
His voice and accent are addictive. It's late where I am and I listening to this dude is so soothing easy to drift off and dream you are where he is. He reminds me of Steve Irwin I think even though Steve's Australian. Their voices are just so animated! I'm content with just listening. The awesome footage is a MAJOR bonus though.
So very blessed. Great outing. We went out last night. Mississippi Gulf Coast. Set 2 Blue crab traps, 3 nets, and some fishing. Zero bites, zero crab. And to top things off, I went "live". Then could not find the video. Turns out I went live on facebook, not RUclips. The fail bordered epic.
Will be another day. Old dog, new trix.
Really enjoy your outings. And proper handling of the environment as well as the catch
~rad~
Was honestly a pretty humane way to kill the crab tbh.
Justin Woods are you being honest
@@watchingyourvideo8029 honestly, i think he is tbh.
It genuinely is or knife it in the center
BUTTER...GARLIC....SPRITE OR (LEMON FLAVORED SODA)...SIMMER...PERFECT
Protect this man at all costs
That's amazing 2 hour walk on the beach for a 100 dollar meal! Great job!
rick stein: my restaurant in Dorset is a must.
Forager: Hold my beer.
Thanks for feeding me imaginatively, I actually feel full now.
I really love this man's every! He is so fun to watch. Also, a good tip is to fill the holes after digging up the clams. It keeps the sand in good condition for more clams to reproduce.
it is local law to fill holes and turn rocks back over as you find them...
Best table in the house, hell yeah! No waste or cleaning up required as the sea will reclaim anything left behind. Utterly awesome way to feed yourself, cannot agree more.
Nearly spat my breakfast out laughing at your description of mistakes of your youth and being almost glued to the toilet seat as a result. Awesome stuff mate, love it.
Poor Sam missed out big time, those spiders looked the absolute business! Keep up the cracking uploads both of you, you're a great team guys.
J W totally agree mate haha thanks for watching !
I love how enthusiastic he is
Spider crabs and razor clams are the nectar of the gods, it's great to see people foraging round our coasts, I live in county Down N.Ireland and forage around Strangford lough.
I need a foraging holiday! Living in the Midlands sucks for seafood 😭
lovely video
sweet and tasty clams..yummy!!
Enjoyed watching it.. looking forward to more.
LOL it reminds me years ago young and daft myself and a few mates took up diving we went to an area that we heard was good for diving but it was full of posh people with RIBs and the likes and we clubbed together for an old fiberglass dinghy we felt a bit embarrassed but we set off anyway onto the water, we got out there and surrounded by fancy boats we decided lets go over there away from them anyway we got in the water and went down only to realize the reason we had our own space was we dived directly onto a sewer outlet pipe there was condoms and tampaxes everywhere so obviously came back up and when in the car park a few came over and said what were you thinking of being sharp I said I know it was a shitty job literally but someone had to do it we were asked to do it by Greenpeace to get footage we got total respect and loads of people were coming over offering to buy us beer and give us respect while we were thinking prats
Lawrence Thompson 😂😂 that’s a shitty situation 😂 but at least you got some beers dude thanks for watching !
Hot tip mate to stop the meat from the crab sticking to the shell is to put a good amount of apple cider vinegar in your cooking liquor and it will pop out whole without sticking everytime and it with sweeten the meat even more. This is what i used to do when i foraged for crab in Lowestoft and great Yarmouth before moving to Adelaide Australia. Happy hunting bud, subbed 😁
Feels like I was watching a bear grills cooking show
Now this is a mukbang i can sit through without having to cringe, love all your videos mate, i like people like you and rob arrington and chef hiro because you just be yourself, your genuine and not putting on a show being someone your not, what you see is what you get, i respect that
The only channel I watch with stuff like this. Love it!!
My sister lives in Alaska. I'm going to have to remind her to send me some spider crab. Excellent video.
Wow! Cracking spider!
I really love that your not only super positive but you took the time to read and like most of (if not all) the comments. I can’t wait to see where your channel goes!!
Man, that looked AMAZING!
Nice one thanks for sharing ATB and God bless you
We did the same on Vancouver Island. We don't have lobster, we have Dungeness and Red Rock Crabs. Our Spider Crabs are very small compared to your species so we don't eat them. Dungeness is sort of comparable to your Brown Crab, Red Rocks are smaller but tastier meat.
We had access to a beautiful beach only accessible by boat or through a mile of bush via our farm. Our clams are Little neck, Butter Clams, Cockles, Geoduck's. There were or are others but too small to really use.
The Geoduck's are huge, 10" to 11" and a tongue that would stretch 2ft.
There is a species of tiny crabs that live inside the shell.
These clams have a huge stomach so we remove it, skin the tongue and blend it a bit to chop it up for chowder, the other clams you used in whatever way you want. I love ocean foraging, life just doesn't get better
When I have clams, try this, take the one part with the meat in it and dip it in the sauce and slurp it out. Best way I eat them. Yum!!
Today I walked past Rick Steins restaurant and imagined his prices then I watched this and it was all for free, and I bet you had more fun cooking it let alone eating it. Brilliant stuff.
He mentioned gordon ramsey earlier. Gordon is handed all his accoutrement. Like a pansy
I love, love, love your videos.Grew up in Florida in the U.S. fishing for blue crabs and the occasional stone crabs, Love just butter, lemon juice and paprika. Try some old bay seasoning and beer to steam you crabs!! KEEP THOSE VIDEOS COMING!
His videos keep popping up in my recommended and it’s 3 am and I can’t stop watching.
Now you have me wanting some crab and clams after watching this video. I love to make a great creamy clam and potato chowder with onion and smokey bacon (devine eating I must say). But that crab...............I love and miss eating such as that.
I love your vlog.taste delicious i enjoyed watching every videos u shared.thanks for sharing your wonderful vlogs.
Mild Ferrer thanks for the support it’s much appreciated 👌🎣
If I researched well, the long worm you had is a Polychaete(worm) Australonuphis commonly called the Australian beach worm they are attracted to the scent of dead fish and such and actually live in the sand.
A little tip with cooking crab after you cook your crab we cook our crab for exactly 12 minutes once it comes back up to a boil and then we go from the cooking pot directly into cold water for about 10 seconds what it does is makes the meat shrink up really fast and suck away from the shell so when you crack the legs the meat will fall out instead of having to try to pick it out
I love watching your channel. Love how teach us about the different types of things you find. What I love most is the respect you have for the beach. Love seeing you enjoy what you catch. Nice how you and Sam work together and enjoy what you are doing. I don't like seafood but I love watching you! Watch you every day because I learn so. Thank you
much appreciation for taking the crab out fast. No suffering. u get a like
I wanna see more of your boat! Always neat to see what other guys are fishing with on other shores
Aww when he put the first crab in the pot it looks soo sad😭
The spider crab look so sad when it was in the bucket
😿
love your channel man. honestly amazing your livin the life! you should come to los angeles, you can fish needles and sleeping homeless from our tide pools as well as other delectables, then feed the inevatable hoards from the beach camps that would surround you to a feast to fend them off. lololololol its like 28 days later out here.
A tip I've heard for cooking crabs and lobster: bring water to a rolling boil, drop creature in and notice the boil stops, then bring it to a rolling boil again and wait 3-5 minutes. Take it out so it stops cooking and it will be perfect. ♡♡
Loving these youtube recommendations lately, finding all these cool channels, love watching content like this and i will be watching more of your videos if they are like this
Love your energy need more kind hearted people like you bro
Mmmm! That looks so yummy! I’d add a bit of lemon, but that’s me.
Man, awesome foraging but the WORMS
I had to put my phone quite a way away from me while they were on screen
*Splendid Tour, Friend. Regards You.*
Though it is an year old vid but I still watch almost all of your content. I wish you all the luck that you deserve man. You are amazing presenter and believe me you gonna be great on this amazing platform. hell yeah!!!!
Mouth watering
That was an Excellent Cleaning.
Very. Enjoyable
New to your channel but love watching almost as much as I love listening to you talk.
tyvm starving for shell fish. drooling like a puppy
real fresh ,no chemical preservative added..FOC SEAFOOD!!
The longer flatter ones look like the NZ tuatua or pipi. A native seafood or Kai moana. Just like a clam. Usually steam them or barbecue them on a grill, when they open, they are done! Loved the video.
Nice spot to collect some seafood 🦑
when you go out there and look for your food like our primal ancestors used to do I guarantee you the food will ways taste absolutely marvelous and you will easily get full even if you have not much god bless you mate
What a haul! You got yourself a new subscriber sir. Much love from Texas.
What a wonderful breakfast. The little long shellfish we call them "Pipi" here in Australia, Pipis are best chopped up and made into fritters.
This inspires me thanks man !!
Who else is jealous he gets to catch this stuff for free
