I got a chance to play a pre assembled an Slo 100 rig with a sterio top ran wet with a h3000 and sold state amp. Jbl 2 12 top and black lable 4 12 bottom cab. I'm hoping the fryette 2/50/2 can get me there with a pair of 2 12 with Mixed drivers. For now I'm just completely jealous and stuck with a great memory! Rock on bro!😈😈
sounds great and monstrous even through the internet! have you had any heat issues with other modules sitting right above the 2/90/2 ? i'm trying to decide on a few different sizes for rack cases
Wish you would of mic'd the speaker. The camera mic is distorting a bit. Cool set up, like the rack you put the Synergy Syn-2 and Fryette amp together. That is what I am planning to do.
Just found out about the 2/90/2, and I’m fucked. I’ve been looking at the Synergy system to replace my JVM, but I really didn’t like the idea of using 6L6s. Ever since I played Kerry King’s signature 800, I’ve wanted to have KT88s. Watching this, my rig just jumped in price. But it’ll be worth it. Right? Tell me it’ll be worth it. 2xSyn2s, 4 modules, Fryette power amp. My wallet already feels violated.
Hey! Did you notice that 2902 was any “smaller” sound than your typical 100w heads? Did you feel some compromises in sound compared to big heads with big iron?
From the maker of the UL pitbull, most brutal amp on the planet. I don't think that is a concern. Plus, yout talking 180 watts compared to 100 watt head. I'm sure the transformer is plenty ample.
A good power amp won’t color the tone all that much, as they’re meant to amplify the preamp signal. That being said the Fryette stuff has a distinct sound to them, whether it’s the KT88 or what - it’s definitely a better solution than the Synergy power amp IMO.
Has a lot to do with how the power amp circuit is built. Synergy power amps are kind of a flat response in a sense so that the preamp will sound “different.” Like when we ran a bunch of modules through a 5150 power section, everything sounded like a 5150 with slightly different EQ’s.
Oh man this is awesome. I'm actually considering the same exact rig (SYN-2 paired with 2/90/2). Any chance you have compared the SYN-5050 or the SYN-50 head? I'm torn about the best way to power these Synergy preamps. I've looked into the VHT 2150 but it's freaking huge!
Meeotch I haven’t tried the Syn50, sorry. I had the 30w head and definitely prefer the power of the 2/90/2 - a good power amp will mate up with the Syn2 perfectly 👍🏻
Hey! I’m looking at getting into a Synergy rig (got a 2/50/2 on the way) and was wondering how the Vh4 module with the 2/90/2 sounded compared to your actual Vh4? Big difference or close enough?
I never owned the VH4 module when I had this setup. The tones were great however regardless of module the gain tones all sounded fairly similar except for the ENGL which had its own thing going. They get close to sounding like the amps they’re after but lots of the vibe comes from the power section.
Really stoked to see you jam on these. I've been curious about them for a bit. Seems to have some killer tones! The Diezel module looks like a ton of fun
You need to change the description of the video because the only thing the Fryette is going into are the cabs. Your description says that the power amp signal is going into the Syn2. That’s fake news!
Huh? Do you even know how any of this works? The Synergy preamp with the two modules is going into the Fryette power amp which is then going into the Orange cab.
I have the SLO, wanting to add the Plexi!

confusing comment but the keywords alone have my approval lol
Sounds fat, dry but also tight and saturated. Like it a lot! 👍

Didn’t notice any problems with heat, plenty of ventilation out the back and has a fan.

maybe one day, these aren't meant to be studio quality - just point and shoot to capture in the room sounds. thanks for checking it out.
Nice set up mate, sounds great!

Is that the Metro or Synergy plexi. Thanks

The Fryette power amps sound big - no worries there
@@wizardsouthJP thank you :)

Do you feel like this power amp gives enough character to be used with the Synergy preamps? I sent Synergy this question and they never responded

@@wizardsouthJP great to know. I love the Synergy preamps and think a power amp that compliments them would be great
Started throwing punches!
How’s it compare to the SYN30 head? I had the SYN50 and wasn’t impressed. All the modules sounded the same with various degrees of gain.

Lol did you play through the same speaker cabinet? Weird!!!
When did u play the plexi and when did u play slo?
Inside Out SLO of the one on the right, you can see when it’s lit up
What is that rack case/head and does the 2/90/2 stick out the back?
Mission is the brand of the tolex rack case, it’s 16” deep so the Fryette fits.
Do you prefer the 2/90/2 or KSR PA50?
For portability KSR, authority…Fryette
Which module is better for 80’s hard rock? Scorpions Ratt ect?
I have no idea
Slo,, it does everything well,,
which orange cabs are you using?
PPC412 loaded with V30’s, the middle cab had a mix of V30 and Creamback 65

A lot of people prefer the Mesa 2:Ninety to the 2/90/2. I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on a 2/90/2 myself though.
@@petesorensenguitar I'm a Mesa guy and ill say the 2/90/2 kills anything Mesa has. I plan on getting one some day.

I am controlling my syn2 thru midi but which CC# NUMBERS are to activate/disable the syn-2 fxloop?
Rui Buíça no clue man. I sold this rig as the high gain tones all sounded fairly similar.

thanks, I have an ENGL Savage module on the way, I hear it's even better than the VH4 module for high gain tones. thanks
Uberschall JP that's gonna be brutal! Pumped to hear it!
Hey! I love my VH2!
DIEZEL?
Can someone tell me why I should buy this two 50 two over the power station? I will run synergy syn-2.
Thanks
2:50 is a stereo amp and the power station is a single power amp with a lot of options. If you plan on doing stereo then you want the 2:50
@@guidedbyechoes 😊 🙏 I've got the 2.50 as I have the torpedo X (if makes sence) and want stereo yes
Sounds mean. You need a stereo delay to add some fun.
JCB4021 above my skill set
