@@rhythmisadancer8394 Your questions are not silly in the least!! And I am happy to help out if I can. Yes, the keyboard in this video is a Yamaha (P-105). I've since upgraded to the P-125; almost identical but it's more lightweight than the older model and has a few new features. Wonderful keyboard, especially for the price: 88 weighted keys and great sound. I personally prefer Rolands for their sound bank and feel, but it's a matter of taste and preference. Also, Rolands tend to be heavier so not ideal for gigging. The mic in this video is a “Blue” brand microphone and I’m not sure of the model because it was a gift. I love it. I’m admittedly not that knowledgable when it comes to mic specifics and brands, however, I believe it is a dynamic mic. A similar option would be a Shure SM 58. I’ve used that as well with success but love my Blue baby! The pop filter you see is a nylon pop filter. I stopped using it in videos because it is obtrusive and interferes visually. It does help with reducing “p,” “b,” and “s” sounds, though, and aids in providing a clearer vocal. I later switched to a foam ball filter that slides onto the head of the mic. They look like clown noses to me (for visual reference) and are quite cheap. If you’re tracking vocals, I recommend a nylon pop filter. Either choice is probably better than nothing. I am curious about a couple things, however: 1) What specifically did you not like about this arrangement? 2) If it’s just a matter of taste/preference, why the need to publicly state your disapproval? I struggle to see the objective in that. Thank you for listening and very glad to know you enjoy some of my other arrangements.
Emily Russo 1) constructively, it seemed too mono-tonal. You didn’t inflect high highs or low lows - it was too constant, as is the original. I like the original a lot! As a musician, when u decide to do a cover where u break it all down, it’s sets the canvas for some vocal embellishment. I’ve heard your voice and know you’re capable of it. Would’ve liked to hear more. And 2), isn’t that what the comment section is for?? To express opinions? If you can’t take it then you need to disable them.
