That was one of the best live performances, of that song, that I totally appreciated. Especially with the fact that you could hold a camera/phone and not give me nausea. Thank you so much for sharing!
It wasn't because of a bad screaming technique. He probably just blew his voice out from excessive touring. He got it fixed and it did not affect his vocal abilities at all. He just changed his style of singing. But that is an incredibly high note for his voice, so he probably couldn't hit it all the time, especially halfway through a set.
@RebelRoseAngel probably not quite as huge as it should have been with the postponement. There were quite a few empty seats and the lawn looked completely empty, like they'd let everyone from the lawn move into seats.
@slvr9wolf Yeah they closed the lawn and made us all sit in the seats, I'm assuming because it was completely waterlogged and they thought it would be dangerous
its definitely a tough note for him and he wont hit it all the time, but i still think he damaged his voice with the screaming. maybe his voice just isnt made for that, but i still dont think he was doing it completely right. theres a surprising amount of technique and form that goes into screaming
@slvr9wolf yeah, they hadn't sold enough tickets, so they closed lawn and let us all sit in seats, i was kinda pissed, was looking forward to moshing on the lawn eating shit, and falling into the fence
several people have gone much longer. he can still scream, thats for sure. god hates us and live in lbc show us that. but it definitely didnt help his voice when he got the vocal infection
@tarynw37 id say he been hittin the pain killers hard weight gain galore can u blame him the rev was life and soul of this band im a die hard fan but a big part of this band died when jimmy did
i think its very possible he cant hit all those high notes 100% of the time anymore. he had a pretty bad vocal infection in the city of evil days, and he didnt use the best of screaming technique. he very well could have done a little damage to his vocals. and its not like they play this song often enough to want to switch it up a lot like they do with afterlife
Shadows is such a perfect singer, unbelievable...
my dream song to hear live...
I would love to see a whole set list of older songs like this one. I love their older stuff so much
I was at this show :D I was with my bro, his friend, my friend, and my dad. I shouted I love you to Shadows but I don't think he heard me.
That was one of the best live performances, of that song, that I totally appreciated. Especially with the fact that you could hold a camera/phone and not give me nausea. Thank you so much for sharing!
Oh my f'in god that man is amazing!!! I would LOVE to hear that live. Thanks for sharing this.
5:49-6:00 the piano and that scene brings tears to my eyes. RIP Jimmy :(
Their best song so far... The piano and the drums part that The rev has composed are so great!
Haven't listened to them in a while. Good to hear they still got it. This has got to be one of their bests.
Omfg. I would kill to see this live.

Shads is one of the few people who can get away with wearing sunglasses at night!
because they are used to looking back at jimmy doing something and not hearing a recording, to them its not the same with arin
I had seen nine inch nails a few years back at the comcast center for their final tour, i would have loved to see a7x here too.

He actually said ''if you know it, sing along''
@88roda88 If you mean on this video then it's Mike Portnoy, but if you mean who's drumming for Avenged now it's Aril Ilejay : )

@RebelRoseAngel probably not quite as huge as it should have been with the postponement. There were quite a few empty seats and the lawn looked completely empty, like they'd let everyone from the lawn move into seats.

Fuck, I got teary eyed on that part…
I was there. It was awesome.
i love you JIMMY THE REV SULIVIAN you are the best drummer............
True. I prefer his current voice/scream to the previous one anyways. It's got more of a rock/metal tone to it.
2 words-
Awesome Camcorder!!
i wonder if they had Justin Sane in mind to.
Everyone in the crowd doesn't seem to know the song -_-
I wish they would go further back and play songs from STST.
What kind of camera are you using? The quality and sound is legit.
@slvr9wolf Yeah they closed the lawn and made us all sit in the seats, I'm assuming because it was completely waterlogged and they thought it would be dangerous
@kierstenhoyle2 aw, thanks! I do what I can while still trying to fully enjoy the show for myself.
The rev should sing the outro part. I miss you on outro part
@Jenta18 actually it was Arin then too :)
great quality :x
Amazing

I like shadows vocals at 6:50 more than the original song sounds so amazing

yes that was the point....
its definitely a tough note for him and he wont hit it all the time, but i still think he damaged his voice with the screaming. maybe his voice just isnt made for that, but i still dont think he was doing it completely right. theres a surprising amount of technique and form that goes into screaming
Matt Shaddow sound is very cool :D
@slvr9wolf yeah, they hadn't sold enough tickets, so they closed lawn and let us all sit in seats, i was kinda pissed, was looking forward to moshing on the lawn eating shit, and falling into the fence
Fuck I Want DVD from Uproar by Avenged Sevenfold!!!
se eles tocarem essa música no rock in rio eu juro que eu não terei mais motivo pra viver

several people have gone much longer. he can still scream, thats for sure. god hates us and live in lbc show us that. but it definitely didnt help his voice when he got the vocal infection
@tarynw37 id say he been hittin the pain killers hard weight gain galore can u blame him the rev was life and soul of this band im a die hard fan but a big part of this band died when jimmy did
They should play this again! But will matt scream again?
He looks great anyway! *-*
@jameslapc haha ouch thats a lil harsh
Well he was able to use that technique for 5 years (1999 - 2004) without it messing up his voice.
i think its very possible he cant hit all those high notes 100% of the time anymore. he had a pretty bad vocal infection in the city of evil days, and he didnt use the best of screaming technique. he very well could have done a little damage to his vocals. and its not like they play this song often enough to want to switch it up a lot like they do with afterlife
He said if you know it sing along right?
i was there!
