I agree, those ending high notes are really difficult to hit, they're at the top end of my range and I can only hit them on a good day. I'm hoping to to redo my cover of this song and hopefully it will sound better aha.

I always felt like most fans of Periphery were not fans of A7X. I am a big fan of both. Both of which i have all their songs and both of which I regularly sing their songs. Between both of these bands I found my voice and expanded my range (with some pointers of course). Great performance sir and maam!

Seeing you and your mom execute such a great rendition of this song just screams to me that you both have taken great amounts of time and effort to refine your craft. You're not just singing, and she's not just playing. You both are true musicians using your instruments (piano/voice) as extensions of yourselves. Such an amazing cover! This song is sung from the perspective of someone saying their last goodbyes before taking their life. The song outlines the sadness in their heart as they say their last goodbye. They are tired of seeing themself the way they are and they don't want their family to see them that way anymore. That's why this song is so powerful. The second part sounds angry and rough because it is expressive of the anger and intense pain and sorrow that the loved ones of the deceased feel after the deed is done.
Im a 43 yrs old fan of a7x. i saw them live when the crowd was 300 people. i saw them again last summer. you did honnor to the song, sincerly thank you for this enjoyable moment. Your mom plays beautifully.
