i sure hope this is a good bike because i took my trail 125 to the dealer Saturday August 3rd 2024 to see what tires they offer for it and came home with a 2025 ADV. now i am looking at all the add on stuff i need for it
Honda ADV 150 was my first choice...until I saw that they topped out at 55 mph or so. I have a couple of 65 roads by me that are unavoidable. So then came to want an Xmax...but now with the ADV 160 I'm looking at it again, lol. Any idea of top speed/ cruising speed?
Not sure where you saw that ADV 150 topped out at 55. My 2022 ADV 150 easily cruises at 55-60+ and tops out on a flat at 66-67 mph without any modifications. Other channels doing speed tests report the same or higher.
Now that the Suzuki Burgman 200 has been (I think) discontinued, if Honda makes an ADV 200 with a true 200cc engine for the US then I would be all in. There are already plenty of good scooters in the 300 and above classes. I think a 200cc like the Burgman is the best at checking every box for daily riding, easy storage, and some freeway riding if needed. I recently purchased a 2013 SYM HD200 Evo and it is my favorite all around bike out of all that I’ve owned. I only wish it had more top speed. So being a 171cc, it’s not a good freeway bike imho. A Burgman 200 may not be as enjoyable as the SYM, but at least it’s good on 65-70ish mph roads. So an ADV 200 would probably be my dream scooter if there ever was one.
@@mig50ccI agree, - an ADV 200 cc or 250cc in the same frame/chassis as the ADV160 is the sweet spot for me,, due to the higher road speed conditions and highway speeds where I live. Though, I don't want the bulk and extra weight of the 350 frame/chassis.
I like my xmax too. But I have noticed that the 2024 xmax 300 has a different more comfortable seat available . I'm trying to find a seat in the states but haven't had any success yet.
Hey bud, any idea if the 160 storage compartment can hold a full face helmet? i thought I saw they increased the size bit to now hold a full face helmet?
This bike is new enough that's it's hard to find much for full reviews from the USA. I may have the chance to trade my ADV 150 for a 160 within a couple of weeks. The question I'm trying to resolve is whether or not you can disable the idle-stop function. I understand that you may have to do it each time you start up the bike, but I need to confirm that it can be disabled. The various videos are conflicting on this point and my review of the online owner's manual is confusing in the wording. I would appreciate anyone's response who actually knows the answer. To me, it's a thumbs up or down as to whether I purchase or not (IOW, I don't want it!)
When is your full review coming?
Good review! I may just sell the ruckus and get one.
Looking at getting a 2024 model in 2025, if I can still get that year. Beautiful machine.
Great choice
i got one(2024) 2 monthe ago.. love this bike

Great video! Did you do a follow up video?

I got 70 cruising speed 64-66 / you will be fine on a 65mph road

@@toms6841 My bad. You're right - seeing 65 top. Makes me think the 160 would top out at 70-75 maybe.
My adv160 tips out @70 and with some cvt mods you can get another 10mph
@@robhall845 how much was it OTD if you don't mind answering?
I've had mine for about a month and already have 3000 miles on it 😂
Wow Run that 160!! Congratulations
What do you do..?..deliver pizza or something lol!!??
Apakah ini motor yang enak di kendarai..?
Will they ever come out with a ADV 170cc
No. Over seas they have 350 and 750
Aprilia sr gt 200

Will the storage fit a full face helmet?
Yes it will
Never forsake a higher cc bike. X max is perfect in all respects.

Looks like a flat Red. I prefer my 2022 ADV150. Candy Red Rose👍
Still has the annoying Smart Key ignition which I could do without.🤨
I agree I like the color of the 22 150 better
Hey Dan Honda is ok but I love our Xmax too much to change lol
Yea my adv days are behind me
Behind you? Why is that, did you get something different?
I’m giving peak Honda world and fey Meyers Honda an excellent service rating!😅

Yes it definitely will
My full face fits but it’s tight. You would have to take your helmet in and see because there were some that would not when I got my 24 ADV 160.
@@compromisedmission Agreed. Another reason I want an Xmax.
Beware of the failing water pumps at 100 miles like the 2023.
Neither of our helmets fit.
How much insurance cost adv160
here in new mexico i pay 120 dollars for a full year.. the basics but the bike itself is not covered .. i will self insure
I might be getting a 2025.
I’m getting ready to do a review on the 2025
I would say the silver colored one looks sweet. That red color doesn't look appealing to me at all.

I don't think the start/stop is on the US model
rode one yesterday, didn't seem to have it.

I own a 2024 US model - they do not have idle-stop.
Confirmed.
my philippine model does have the idle start stop, but theres a switch on the right handlebar to turn on or off.
