I’ve been saying the same. I’m so shocked they didn’t capitalize one the space cowboy craze by releasing new colors, expanding the line!! Such a dumb marketing move. Solstice is still way better than cowboy IMO.
I would love to see Urban Decay re-release all of the original Naked palettes with updated textures and formulas! People would go nuts over that, and Urban Decay could continue holding onto the Naked branding, but actually make it make SENSE.
Agreed 100% on the ND I Need a Nude palette. It’s definitely my favorite ND palette, and honestly it is probably one of my favorite palettes overall. The mattes are gorgeous. The shimmers are perfection. Love the color story. Love the variety of textures.
I totally agree on urban decay relaunch naked palette 1 & 2. I still have the nude one which is my fav. Hope they never get rid of it or I’ll have to buy 100 of them for backup

The holiday hourglass tiger palette ALMOST got me last year, but that snake is sooooo cute god. 🤣 Like I hope it’s ugly inside.
I wish Urban Decay would have done a sister palette to the Stoned Vibes and named it Heavy Metals. The shimmers in the the Stoned Vibes are so underrated and I wish we would see more of those from UD. They could have stuck with the elements/gems theme and made shades to represent beautiful metal elements. Such a missed opportunity.

They actually had a palette called Heavy Metals like 6 years ago (it preceded Stoned Vibes). I think it got okay reviews, but the presentation wasn’t the best.
@@v.besson6808 That was the one with really bulky weird purple packaging. I think people liked the formula of the shadows, but I’ve not heard anyone like the packaging. Either way, UD missed a great opportunity to make a sister palette to Stone Vibes.
So happy that I've left my makeup "obsession" because I realized I've got so much that I love already! Living by yourself, after leaving a 5yr relationship, building my PC and setup, furnishing my apartment, financial responsibility increasing, and wanting to be debt free by the new year so I can begin putting $ in my savings....all of it really taught me the value of a dollar!

Remember the little six pan palettes that came with a lip gloss or eye liner, and came in edgy or feminine color stories? Those got me into makeup! Absolutely agree that Wendee leaving decimated the brand
I was actually thinking the exact same thing when watching the video, they should re-release original Naked as like a farewell tour for Naked and then retire the Naked name altogether. That would be so cool.
I miss when they did the vice palette every year and it actually didn’t suck. Lol I gave away my 2017 vice and regretted it so bad. There was a stunning rose shade in there that I can’t ever replicate because no one makes unique colors anymore. Lol

Mine just arrived today... So far, it is exactly what I expected, which is a good thing in my opinion. Nothing shocking or jaw-dropping, but very high quality, usable powders for everyday.
I've never understood why urban decay kept calling palettes naked when they started introducing colourful shadows. They should have created a sister range in the same format and called it fully dressed!

I would be perfectly happy if Hourglass did six pan face palettes every year (for a variety of skin tones) that consisted of three different face powders, a blush, a highlighter and a bronzer and just changed out the blush/highlighter/bronzer colors every year. I was interested in their holiday palettes last year but the one for my skin tone (the butterfly, I think? Whichever was the lightest one) came with two blushes that were basically the same color and no bronzer and I'm just not going to pay $80 for that.

I was in Ulta the other day and swatched the Urban Decay metals palette and I was actually impressed! The silver in that palette…STOP IT! It was sooooo good! All of the shimmers swatched beautifully and the packaging is gorgeous. It was enough to make me stop and think. I’ll probably end up picking it up at some point, but for Urban Decay, I felt like they brought it.

I haven’t bought a pallete in ages. I’ve been using Chanel quads and an UD mini (all gifts from my hubby last Christmas). I used to have a COLLECTION but lost the desire to even wear makeup. I’m ready to be inspired again and actually buy a palette for myself. Your video is amazing timing 😘

My first hourglass face palette was a quad and it was absolutely perfect and I used it all the way down to pan. I got the elephant 6-pan last year and the packaging is stunning but the colours are not quite right. I still use it every day, but I wish they just made standard face quads and sold those as a core product.
Thanks so much for leading with the Hourglass face palettes. I've been patiently waiting to hear something on what they would be this year. I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but the packaging is not grabbing me. 😭

The jellyfish is gorgeous! I'm really excited for the Hourglass palettes. I'm assuming you will be able to customize the palette you want like they did with last year's holiday collection. I really hope they knock it out of the park this year and have a lot of new shades instead of it being repetitive.
Oh shit, if they're customizable, I miiiiiiight give them a double take. 98% of the reason I've never bought an Hourglass palette is because they always include an ambient lighting powder that's too dark for me to use. Or a bronzer that's too dark, or a blush in a tone that's not my preference.
@ZijnShayatanica I wish they would make a magnetic refillable palette where we chose which shades we want to suit our skintone/needs with limited edition packaging. Last year, we got to choose which artwork we wanted and the color palette. I picked up the butterfly and elephant palette last year. So I'm assuming it will be like that with these palettes this year. I just hope there arent a lot of repeating shades. I really like the owl and jellyfish one but we will see once they release photos of the inside of the palettes.
@ZijnShayatanica I will say the blush shades that were in the butterfly palette were very similar. I was able to use the other powders in the palette bc I have fair to light skin so I use those a lot. The bronzer in the elephant palette is a little too warm for me. I have to use a light hand and the highlighter was too dark so I use it as an eyeshadow. I do prefer the blushes from the elephant palette than the butterfly, but again the colors were also pretty similar to each other. Sooo I really hope they listened to their customers and community to bring us more variety and give us something different this year. I think they may have done 4 palettes for: fair to light, light to medium, medium to tan, and tan to deep. But I could be completely wrong. That's just my guess lol anyways, I'm very excited to see what they turn out to look like! And if you do like one of the palettes, you should pick it up! They really are some of my favorite powders! 😊 I hope this helps!

I really want to see some more cool-toned palettes. Especially taupe ones, nauanced cool tones, the kind of browns you see in Dollhouse palette from Blend Bunny in the shade "vintage." I just want more cool-toned. Mainstream beauty always makes a cool toned palette grey, which nice grey tones are great, but I want more intrigue.
I am so obsessed with owls, especially barn owls, that I am probably going to buy that Owl palette from Hourglass, no matter what shades are in it, I am going to make them work, end of story :D. But the snake one is gorgeous, too. I am also super tempted by the Lancome palette, but that price point... maybe with some Black Friday deal.
I've been eyeing Flower Knows for awhile now and the Swan Ballet collection finally got me. Ordered during the launch today and I am so excited! Got an eyeshadow pallet, lip products from three different collections, a setting powder, blush brushes and a mirror. From the reviews I've seen, the quality is supposed to be pretty good but I figure even if it's just okay, the packaging will totally be worth it!
I bought a few flower knows stuff after Judy reviewed it. The blush was amazing, the lip stain thing was good, and the eyeshadow was very meh. But the packaging makes me really enjoy the experience of applying it.
@@earthangelbaby_ What collection was the eyeshadow from? I got my order last week and so far I'm really enjoying it. My favs are the Mermaid lip glosses and the Swan pink setting powder. The Swan satin lipstick was just okay for me and I liked the Strawberry matte mousse lipstick but it's not as good as the Kaleidos formula. I haven't tried the Swan eyeshadow yet but I agree that the packaging makes it so much fun to apply!

I'm with you on the mattes really lol. I love all matte looks on others but even if I say I'm gonna do it, I cave and use something special. I have dry, textured, crepe lids but I still think they look better sparkling and textured than dry and textured and matte. It's crusty looking on me. I feel like shimmers actually hide it more idk.
I'm definitely going to pick up the Nomad ghost town palette! That's an exciting color story and the packaging is killer! Also very excited about the Anastasia palette. Can't wait to see what's inside but I already know my husband's getting that and cosmos for me for Christmas 😂

I feel you on the Flower Knows collections 🤧 everything is always so beautifully packaged and the makeup choices feel very intentional with each theme. It can be really easy to get sucked in to the fantasy. Judy does in-depth reviews and tutorials on the FK collections so I just enjoy that makeup vicariously through her

The essence lip glosses have been around (at least in Canada) for a while, but it looks like they are extending the range. I really like them actually, especially for the price. I’d just say to avoid them if you are really sensitive to very synthetic smelling/tasting stuff. My strawberry lemonade one kind of has a hint of fabric softener kind of scent, still usable! Maybe with the extension they will have better flavors! The product itself is lovely!

I was sick like that a few months ago, it was hell. I was bracing myself to swallow, like you said, but then choking on my spit and coughing, and that hurting like crazyyy - like doubling over kind of pain. I would sleep just so I wouldn't feel the pain 😭 when I turned my head it hurt my throat! What?!

If I never have another yellow gold eyeshadow again I'll still never run out of them even if I used it lashline to brow every single day lol. I think gold eyeshadows are the most common shimmers even over champagne.

Would love to see your review on Flower Knows and their new collection! Very underrated brand in the Western beauty world and I think their ornate style is something that a lot of brands in the West are missing. To be fair I understand Western beauty attempts to cater to as many people as possible, but I feel like you can't lose with something so stunning and detailed :) Just bought a few products myself and feeling pretty hopeful. I really enjoyed their Strawberry Rococo collection!

I had convinced myself that I didn’t need the ND ‘I Need a Nude’ palette and then I saw it in person yesterday and it went to the top of my wish list! It is beyond gorgeous and it doesn’t bother me at all that there aren’t many dark options. I am a mid-tone-with-a-shimmer-topper girl most days, and this color story is EVERYTHING to me! I have the Mario Ethereal Eyes palette and I feel like it’s similar, but I still want it, lol! The Merit shadow singles are pretty, but they were patchy when I swatched them in store. I’d rather pick up a few eye paints from About Face at the Ulta sale. Glad you’re feeling better!!!

Tiger palette '22 was great. The blushes were so beautiful: copper, orange and rosy pink.

The nice thing about the cardboard palettes is that the cardboard packaging seems to protect the shadows in the case of rough handling. I don't think I've ever gotten a cardboard palette with a smashed shade in it.
I really like most of the glow recipe things too. I don't love the avocado line I don't think, at least not the sleeping mask or whatever it is. My issue is I really burn through their products fast.
