    It's kind of funny that the korean verrsion Anna isn't asking to just get better. But actually want to help Elsa. Like "we can do this together though." But Elsa is so scared of making it worse it doesn't reach her.

    • @hydrofalls8154
      @hydrofalls8154 2 месяца назад +1

      @@mattybrunolucaszeneresalas9072 It's mainly because of how many times Anna talked about doing it together. Yes the "I believe you can" is quite insensitive. Like a just smile it away. But I am mainly talking about how many times Anna verbally say she wants to do this with Elsa.
      While Elsa is mainly just saying she can't and how afraid she is. Which is fair, I would be terrified of myself if that happened.

      @@mattybrunolucaszeneresalas9072I just re-watch it. I guess I had this impression because we can't really hear Anna when Elsa is starting to panic. So it's incredibly hard to hear if Anna is actively trying to calm her down.

    This is why I don't trust romanizations and prefer to learn languages that have foreign alphabets without them xD
    0:03
    *제발* 다신 *외면하지* 말아쥐
    *"Chebal"* and *"wemyonhaji"*
    It's still ㅈ both times 😅🤔 and I learned that ㅊ makes that ch sound like in chicken and ㅈ is j like in jump. Ex) 저는
    I'm running on 0 sleep at 7 am lol bear with me when I say thats all I can remember atm 😂😂
    If I'm missing something can someone tell me? Cause I'm still learning Korean but I don't use romanizations. This little ㅈ & ㅊ thing is throughout the whole vid so if I'm missing something, again, someone please tell me😅😅😂

    • @FlamSparks
      @FlamSparks  6 лет назад +9

      Anyone who appraches languages with a serious aim can tell you that learning any language which uses a different alphabet starting from whatever transliteration system is the best way to mess up the pronounciation you are going to assume.
      ㅈ is prnounced like "j" in "jumb" when intervocalic (preceded and followed by a vowel), that's why in 외면하지 is transliterated as "wemyŏnhaji". When ㅈ opens a word or is preceded or followed by a consonant, it is pronounced like "ch" in "chair" (thus, 제발 -> "Chebal").
      This same issue comes with most basic Korean consonants:
      ㅂ - intervocalic ("추부") "b" like in "bag", opening a word or next to a consonant ("바다") "p" like in "peer"
      ㄷ - intervocalic ("바다") "d" like in "dawn", opening a word or next to a consonant ("다리") "t" like in "time"
      ㄱ - intervocalic (하고) "g" like in "gear", opening a word or next to a consonant (가사) "k" like in "Korea"
      ㄹ - intervocalic "r" (알아), opening a word or next to a consonant "l" (열정)
      This is why transliterations are meant for people who don't know the first thing of these alphabets and are not intentioned to learn them. All beginners I've met so far who were trying to approach 한글 through a romanization, were making many, futil, easily avoidable pronounciation mistakes.

      FlamSparks
      Ooh hm🤔 interesting thank you! 😊 that actually helps quite a bit!
      Yeah I just don't like it cause you're accent will be...blatantly....obvious to say the least because of the reliance on romanization..which is english lettering (obviously) so yeah lol when I first started learning, it was on DuoLingo...and it sucked. I couldn't turn off romanizations and all it did was confuse me, slow me down, and make it wayyyy more difficult..it didn't help in any way, shape, or form. I found LingoDeer and THANK GOOOD I did cause it's the holy grail of language learning apps. I think they only have Asian language courses right now but yeah lol

    Based on my observation living in South Korea, the Korean version of this song seems to be "dumbed down" for children under the age of 10. That's a solid reason for South Koreans to prefer the English version of this song.

      @@Jaspanda_P "Chill"? What the... Um... First of all, I know I'm right, and don't get me wrong: I used to hate the fact that those vocaloids existed; They sound like the "voices" are auto-tuned all over the place. But, man, Elsa's voice in the Korean version here is just plain gorgeous. Really shows the amount of natural quality that all those Korean singers that K-pop listeners like me listen to almost religiously (in a sense); It's just what I call good music. I'm not saying you shouldn't like the fact that the vocaloids just sound weird. (Heck, that's all part of what the word "experimentation" means; You just find out if you like the stuff.) I am however saying that some types of music (and voices in general, actually) just sound better than others.
      Take it, or leave it. Sorry that I had to reply to 'ya like that, but it's just a plain fact.
