FAR OUT!!!! Love this recreation of the famous saucer plus the interior details of one of Hollywood's most legendary sci-fi props! Very well done! Ray Harryhausen would be proud!!!
Hi Lugodoc, Thank you so much for putting this video together and sharing it with the community. Also, I also really appreciate the time and effort you took to document the interior of this classic flying saucer and the history behind Hollywood's designs of flying saucers in the fifties. Ray Harryhausen creations populated my imagination providing me with excitement and "horror" back in the fifties. It is great that you shared some of the history with the newer CGI-raised generations, all my thanks, Ciao, L
+varanid9 It's a proven fact that Science follows Cinema. Start Trek communicators= flip phones, chest communicators = blu tooth devices, sliding doors got big after the show too. many things
An excellent presentation. I loved the 3D Crossectional animation. Reminded me of an MRI. Was the drive units around the outer torus, your own design, or is there a source from the motion pictures special effects master.
I had always assumed these discs served the purpose of being landing craft, or fighter craft, and that they did not carry out the task of being long range carriers; in short, I always felt they docked with a mothership, a'la Independence Day. Hence the absence of any "domestic crew facilities". I do like the idea of where you have "soldiers" awaiting their deployment. I love your drawings. Thanks.
Love Ray Harryhausen's flying saucer design and its ray cannon weapon. The Encounter Chamber doesn't make sense though. On any ship you must maximize any and all space so that it serves a purpose. To have such a vast amount of (mostly) empty space would be impractical.
The sound effects for the flying Saucer from this Classic B movie movie were added in the Sci Fi series The Invaders in 1967/68 time,Great FX for the flying Saucer in the 1956 movie 🛸🛸🛸🛸🌏🌎🌍
An Exceptional insight into an exceptional sci-fi movie alien construct! Some additional theories... 1. The Crystalline energy nodes act as receivers and broadcasters, drawing energy from the void as well as transmitting telepathic commands from billions of light years away. 2. The saucer aliens can telepathically control the array of spacesuited avatars which are genetically grown androids designed and provisioned for interstellar travel. The suits are armored against radiation, inertial shifts and microbial lifeforms...but not against high speed projectiles (bullets). The Crystalline matrices can dispel aimed energy bursts at attackers...but once drained, they must retreat and recharge. 3. The circular inner ring with the twelve spheres is a superconducting quantum collider the smashes higher elements (like element 115) against psycho-reactive Crystalline matrices that can constrict and redirect spacetime and open wormhole portals to different star systems. 4. The central crystalline node, when energized, can probe the minds of alien lifeforms. But the information, once extracted, leaves the brain completely drained of memory. 5. The directed energy weapon on the underside of the alien saucer can disrupt any type of matter on an atomic level, thus disintegrating it...but is prone to overheating. 6. The military beam emitters can interrupt the transmitted orders sent to the crystalline receivers on the saucer alien's ship by broadcasting a similar transmission at close range.
That's what I say. Unless the saucers were the landing craft for a mother ship somewhere, where the aliens could get out of their suits, it seems that they'd be spending their entire time crammed into a corridor. I'm guessing they controlled the saucers via mental commands to the crystalline computers, interfacing with their suits.
Music is by my hero Desmond Leslie, from his 1960 album Music Of The Future, 13th track - Gathering Of The Elders, generated electronically using physical tape loops and valves. Some of his stuff was used in very early Doctor Who. He also wrote books with flying saucer king Adam Adamski, and was first cousin once removed to Winston Churchill. In 1962 when Bernard Levin denigrated Leslie's wife on the BBC in a live studio discussion, Leslie punched him out in front of the whole nation.
@@lugodoc I see. Well, it was great video and it's one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies. Unfortunately the music made me feel like I took LSD. I tried to concentrate on the video but instead I be trippin' out.
What about supplies? The aliens were organics, and needed some kind of physical sustenance, unless they had found a way around that need. What about accommodations? They surely couldn't have been comfortable spending their entire lives inside those suits. What about controls? Did the crystalline computers take mental commands, or were there also manual interfaces?
Yes and Element 115 is called Moscovium, and 288 is its atomic number. Discovered in 2006. It was discovered by a joint team of Russian and American scientists.
This is an interesting movie. All the aliens were was outlaws from their own destroyed planet, who tried to force themselves on Earth populations by acting superior. In the end they were only bums getting destroyed by a scientist and a group of his colleagues. Those flying saucers were great.

well done , great graphics and a weird atmosphere !
Awk Awk Awk ! Great saucer from Mars Attacks 😀

Outstanding renderings.
Puny Human.....Ha!
Excellent ideas and execution. I really appreciate your work...and the humor. 😆
Absolutely awesome Visualization of Theses Classic saucers.. KUDO"S to you. I always wanted to know what they looked like inside.
Great visuals and music !
Fantastic!
Excellent movie spot on with UFO reports including the orbs. Its a classic.
Notice how the alien's viewscreens look like big screen TVs today.

Design looks like a toadstool and the top design from a buzzer button!!!!!
Really good work, but where were the rest rooms?

So Cool! Bravissimo! XLNT!
Very well done. OFF the CHAINZ man.

Quite fascinating; this movie was had special effects equal to that of Forbidden Planet.

I need a link to the music
ruclips.net/video/64wdnHq7vT0/видео.html Leslie was ahead of his time, and he punched Bernard Levin.
Would love to see these alien ships done with current CGI. Very fun to watch.
Wow neat
I think if I had to spend my time aboard crammed into a corridor, it might make me a bit ornery, too.

What the hell kind of music was that???

what were the alien creatures called by name..this movie was the 2nd best sci-fi movie from 50s
They must use Element 115 to power their ships like Bob Lazar said. NOT

Can I hitch a ride please

That’s what I saw?
Why bother to study humans? They only have to watch our TV broadcasts for a short time to realise how stupid we are.
Esse disco voador é dos mais legais dos filmes mas neste gráfico animado não ficou tão legal igual a nave do filme! Rio de Janeiro RJ Brasil
I LOVE YOU !
