Alex wields Purphoros, God of the Forge, Kathleen battles with Oona, Queen of the Fae, Jeremy uses Diaochan, Artful Beauty while both Graham and Paul use the new Commander (2013 Edition) Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. Meanwhile James and Cam decide to make a new Cube!

The next commander episode Cam should play with a Narset deck that plays time walks and extra combats. Everyone will try to stop him from comboing off so it becomes an archenemy game.

When Alex announced his Commander I was hoping for a deck of nothing but mountains and Purphoros. I'd forgotten the mountain-to-men effect was the hammer and not the god.
Just got spontaneously roped into a game of commander, and got given "Derevi, Empyrial Tactician" much to my amusement. This episode gave me the correct mindset for the game :D

Rewatching this (yes even now) and had a thought for a card for Strictly Worse.
Apocalypse Chime: the wrath artifact that blows up only Homelands cards.
Of course, including no other Homelands cards. Some of which might also make for good includes in the cube, but this one just seems funny. Imagine being the one to crack the pack with that. Or be forced to take it.
I believe one of y'all found that table at a yard sale and the only way you convinced someone to let you get it was by making it the punchline of the episode.

It's a charity event where people donate to keep the playing the worst game ever, Desert Bus(and do random challenges) and auctions cool stuff like all foil m14 and Mr Saturns. And magic's R+D director Aaron Forsythe is calling in at 9pm pst on the 21st, along with many other guests. All the money goes to Child's play, who improve the lives of children in hospital by providing games for them to play! Come on, It'll be fun!
