  • Sitting in the middle of the West and East MacDonnell Ranges, Alice Springs is a beautiful outback town. Whilst there the free 10 day festival of Parrtjima was on, what a great event!
We also explore Stanley Chasm, take in the horse race's, Alice Springs Reptile Centre and the East MacDonnell ranges.

Thanks for sharing this video. The face looks beautiful. Is it safe to be there? Specially, with your family.. Every time I watch news about Alice Australia it’s always sad and scary news

Your welcome, thanks for watching! To be honest we were a bit concerned about going there after seeing everything in the news. But we did not once feel unsafe there, we only went out a couple of times at night and neither time saw any trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, so it is sad to see what is going on and that it puts people off from visiting.

Desmond here from Auckland new Zealand I would like to say what an outstanding video love the music I am leaving Auckland new Zealand on the 5th of august 2024 heading to Adelaide to join the group on a 16 day wildlife adventure to Darwin how much did it cost for the reptile park did you watch the eagles at feeding time how long did the fields of lights go on we can are travelling AAT bus tour following the Stuart highway going to Clare valley port Augusta flinders ranges then coober pedy staying one night at the desert cove hotel underground then uluru thehkata tjuta kings canyon then 2 nights in Alice springs then karlu karlu then Tennant creek then Litchfield national park then mataranka then Katherine then cruise through the gorge for 2 hours also cruise the yellow water billabong then fly over the kakadu national park then Jabiru a lot of these places I have never heard of its the first time ever I have be to the northern territory the group is staying at hotels apartments motor inn and resorts the airfare was just over 1,000 dollars with travel insurance the bond for the hotel ie flying over a day earlier because the times was to tight on the day total just over 2,000 dollars the tour cost 14,000 dollars that includes food and accomadation how was the race course how much would a taxi charge is it cheaper by bus how long does it take to go around the city shops do they sell souvenirs shirts tea towels table cloths place mats cowboy hats etc how much did cost to get into the races how much does cost in air balloon flight is there a govt charge of $30 dollars added on to the $300 charge for the air balloon flight do they have markets there ithink we arrive in Alice springs on the 12th or 13 I have not got the final details is the west mc Donald ranges better than the east how are the flys any ideas or tips can you please pass on gratefully appreciated this is my first time ever to the northern territory

Hi Desmond! Sounds like you have an amazing tour booked! The NT is just beautiful, I'm sure you will love it. The reptile centre in Alice was $22.00 per an Adult, we didn't see an eagle feeding at the centre we went too, but I believe there is another reptile park in Alice which maybe the feeding is there? The race course was a bit of fun, we saw they had racing on while we were there so thought we would go check them out, it was free to get in. Depends how far you are travelling in the taxi as to what they would cost. Alice is not a very big city so I wouldn't think it would cost too much. Most of the shops where near each other so I wouldn't think it would take too long to have a wonder through them. We didn't look at any souvenir shops but I'm sure there would be some and they would have all those sorts of things 😊 In Australia the price you are quoted includes the govt tax, so if you have been quoted $300 for the hot air balloon that would be the final price. didn't see to much of the east MacDonnell ranges so can't really say but the West MacDonnell ranges were just spectacular!! We were there in April and had no issues with the flys but you can never tell what you might get so I would definitely grab a fly net to bring, you can find them cheap on ebay and they dont take up any space at all, so better to have one than have to put up with them if there are bad. Hope you have the best time on your trip, safe travels! Thanks for watching!

Loved chilling over a quiet glass of red tonight watch another episode on your road trip series.
So good seeing places that we are heading to in the next few weeks, so thankyou.
How’s the size of that spider 🕷️ no wonder Miranda was anxious for you to get that away from her.
Glad to see you got the starlink sorted though win win.
Great work to Cam & Jac for being brave with that huge big snake, we all cringed seeing this large monster around your necks 🙈
Plus such a champion Cam for knowing all those flags 👌
Keep enjoying the brilliant beauty of the NT 😊

Hehe yeah maybe! Lovely listening to the birds isn't it. Another bird that we noticed sounds different in the NT is the kookaburras. You would think they would sound all the same!

We went up to Cobbler Pool last weekend and wanted to thank you both for making us aware of such a lovely campsite. Trains weren''t that bad - well maybe. Love your work.

@David Bland we loved our time we had in Qld, so many of the places really exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to get back there and explore the state more. It certainly looks like it had a lot to offer. Oh thanks mate we will definitely keep you in mind when we get home 👍
