    I'm 74, feeling in good shape, exercise regularly since high school and I eat a massive salad for breakfast in the morning with about 15 to 20 different vegetables Etc plus my own set of spices that I make. I'm a cyclist I don't drive a car that keeps me in shape

    • @tv10morehead
      @tv10morehead 2 месяца назад

      SENSIBLE Cycling is a life long sport / hobby / exercise / transportation. Quad and leg strength has been shown in a 10 year Gold Standard study published about 1 yrs ago said heart failure after a first heart attack was reduced about 200% by having 'strong legs', and thunder thighs can be very attractive gals... or to the gals, I got made fun of as a baskeball player in grade school by a Cheerleader for my 'bowed' looking "Tree Trunks" as cyclist legs I had developed for about a year at that time with a huffy durosport "10 speed" attempting to get near 3min miles with a junk bike, the frame broke before I had the bike even 2 years chattering over pot holes , a $59.77 Roses Dept. Store 1977 Special sale price? I learned a lot about tire sizes and brakes when I tried to move the best parts over to a found stripped Schwinn World 27" bike frame my dad had turned in to campus police. I got hit by a car on that one about November 1985 and bent the fork back, the frame broke in the same weak spot behind the crank. Long story short , in 46years I think I have been hit or bounced off cars about 4 times, so oops sensible cycling was not a thing for me until the 2nd time bouncing off a WV Rabbit turned quickly into a bar & I was doing about 24mph on my yellow schwinn thinking this guy was going past me to the next traffic light. not quite dark I had on a bright blue shirt with multicolored blocks down the sleeves which I may still have. The cop wrote I was wearing dark clothes and had no headlight. Police don't side with cyclists if there's any excuse to favor a car. Two other times cars turned unpredictabley after they passed me, front of me or side swiped me broad daylight too. SO pretend you are invisable to everyone pedestrians will jay walk infront of you unpredictably but you also can be harrassed in certain 'canadian' neighborhoods with intentional jumping into the street from a set of steps or a baskeball court, in red neck areas, the cloud of diesel smoke , beer cans pop cans hair brushes, intentional back fires, tobacco spit, door slappings horn blaasts, Engine 'jake brakes' and MORE... IT's AMERICA you have the right to Liberty they said when I was a boy . One time after being heckeled over 5 times in 3 miles by about a 1995 silver Trans Am with ground treatments & hood scoops , I called the non-emergency line to the police 911 dispatch and gave a license numbers first then letters which was backwards and irritated the dispatch girl , but this redneck almost followed me all the way to my rental. Getting the cold shoulder from the cop I strapped on my Rugar target 22 in reverse draw on my left hip, so the holster was showing to cars from the rear. ALSO at the time I had a black bike helmet by Bernoletti and a bike with fenders and paneers so it looks like I was a BIKE COP which the town had for about 4 years by then. BLAMMO Cars got over gave me my 3 feet and waited to pass even as I was kickin it about 18 to 25mph on the slight downhill run to work. LONG STORY SHORT many ameriKans like to pick on what they see is a 'easy target' that dares to slow them down by 12seconds to get to the next red light and wait ; so stupid AmeriKans do you also deface veterans graves?? Why not ?

    Maybe that explains why I don't get sick often, if I can use onions in food, I do lol. I love onions, and garlic. I can eat em raw no problem. Where I grew up in Texas we had a form of wild chive that I believe was a garlic/green onion hybrid of some sort. SPent years spreading and cultivating them, now there's basically a never ending supply that grow seasonally!

    My uncle has struggled with recurring shingles since he was 21. He said everytime he notices shingles coming back, he just eats some raw onions, and that takes care of it. He swears by it. He had suffered many years before discovering this.

    One of my favorite treats since being a kid is to have sliced raw onion on toast with some salt and pepper. A very simple, very healthy tasty snack. If I feel like something more I love avocado spread on toast with salmon and raw onion topped with a little salt and pepper. I just turned 50 and people still think I'm in my late 20's early 30's. Still no wrinkles, no grey hair or degradation in mobility or cardiovascular health.

      thanks to the Flexner Report. Gee, there was a Fauci sort in 1914 too. What else hatched in 1914🤔……The Federal Reserve which was hatched as described in the book “ The Creature From Jeckyl Island” . You can guess the crew that called that Georgia island it’s vacation land . Yea, same bunch so they’ve been at it for a very long time!

    What about other onions? Red is the best but I like the sweet onions. My Daddy used to quarter them up and eat them like bread with the rest of his meal. Now I do the same as it seems to be a natural compliment to many entrees. A bit tough on the love life though.😅

    Love me my raw red onions.
    The new kids at work thought I was in their age group and asked me to back them up in a dispute with a guy my age. The look on their faces when I told them I was more than 10+ years their senior.
    Even my supervisor forgets that I'm an old man. I still don't feel I've peaked. I guess the adage that you are what you eat rings true. Eat fresh, stay fresh. When asked why I look so young I just shrug and say Asian food and avacado.
    I guess my fondness for raw onion plays a part.
