Hi PB I will be starting my heating and ventilation apprenticeship with NHS Hospital this tool kit would really come In handy as they don’t provide good quality tools, so this tool kit would really come in use thank you.
I would love the tool kit! I just got my self a apprenticeship and start on August 20th for my first year Level 2 Plumbing and heating. I need to buy tools for when I start and wining the tools would be perfect. Keep up with all the videos. Love watching and would like to be the best like you. You are a inspiration
How have you only got 6k subs? Your channel is by far the best on you tube. You keep it real and show exactly how it is. I love the product reviews and the little funnies at the end are great if a little dad jokey lol. Keep up the fantastic work, you show us all how to be a better more professional plumber.
Hi pb another brilliant video.iam a gas engineer and would love the tool kit as a gift to the apprentice I have with me at the moment.hes a great lad and reminds me of me when I was doing mine.cheers
Very good video. Always enjoy watching. Can I request you do a video on your combi install showing yourself soldering the pipes. Fantastic looking end products so would love to see your technique. Cheers!
Hi pb love the videos, I have just started out as an apprentice plumber, I am starting my level 2 plumbing in college this September , this tool kit would kick start my career and really help me thankyou
Shame I came across these videos to late, I'm looking at training to be a plumber this year, could've done with those new tools as I have nothing. Oh well hope for a new competition. Thanks for these videos, very informative. 👍
Hi pb Watch all your videos. Truth is mate I want that kit. Ain’t got much don’t want to suck up or beg. My story is- had it tough. Done a apprentership but my boss never paid me, worked for two years straight to learn the trade.family supported me and paid all my bills. Qualified and then got a injury to my eye (detached retina) still undergoing treatment and hopefully after a few months going start back work. The kit will help me out a lot.
M Sam I hope you make a full recovery! Sorry to hear it, but never give up and go strong through it all. Hopefully it should all pay off in the future!
I really liked that PB copper pipe. You should make that into a man cave sign. We dont bend copper in canada much. But I think I am going to buy a bender and try something new. It looks much better. I am learning so much from this channel and your so far away.
Hi PB, I’m finally deciding to follow my Grandads footsteps to join the plumbing trade, the kit your giving away would help a great deal to get me on my feet 👍🏻 Keep up the good informational videos
Why PB when I saw your cool That you pulled with the new bender, it reminded me of me of pulling those to use as a bypass for on a model of wall mount Baxi that required a min of a 3mts tube as a bypass the only difference was it was in 22mm and you can do it on hand held Hillmore or Record benders ..same process you describe, it ends up as a slightly square with the corners knocked off look, but worked fine !! Aaah memories ! 😂 great stuff in a hard game on your part buddy .. keep it coming
Hi PB as I mentioned before I just started my plumbing and heating job as a newly qualified gas engineer. I spent a lot of money on course I can't effort to buy expensive tools.......... Rest on ur hand thanks again
Hi! I am in plumber school in sweden and Will do my last year after this summer! I’m working with it on all my spare time and could use som real and good plumbing tools!!:)
Looks like tenants piled their stuff around the isolation switch, seen that a few times, should charge the landlord your call out fee, but offer them a discount on the servicing, as they may never call you back again.
The R, L and 45 are for the gain when bending a pipe. If you do an instrument pipe fitting course they show you how to lay out a straight bit of tube and mark a long it’s length. I’m sure there will be a tutorial on here if you search swagelok bending. It’s a really handy way of doing it.
Love the vids mate, I’ve been in the game for nearly 10 years myself Gas, Oil all the bits and bobs I enjoy the videos to see how everyone else does things! gotta say I have Van envy though!
I just finished my first career of 30 years as a police officer and now just starting my second career as a plumber. I have limited tools but starting to purchase as I go along. Not sure if this is the message type you are looking for as you did not mention an email address. Anyways love learning from your videos and looking forward to new ones.. I just can not retire from work.... Jason T.
Another great video PB. I would love to win the toolkit for my apprentice as I am fed up of him using my kit and not putting things back after he's done with them. Sick of replacing lots hand tools etc!! Keep up the good work mate.
Hi I've watched your video on you tube on how to remove a back boiler and fit the new pipework for a combi boiler. You lost half of the explanation due to cutting unfortunately. I also saw your compertition and I wanted to let you know why I would like to have the tools. I've been doing DIY for the last 30yrs as my dad's a builder and never thought of doing plumbing until recently. I moved into my first house and it has been a shambles as everything you touch breaks or is already bodged or needs replacing. I have had to become an all round builder doing everything, Which i did not expect. I have employed gas, plumbing and other profeshion to do work but keep finding that they are over charging, doing shoddy jobs and are also doing poor finishing. They don't turn up on time or never turn up and some just don't know what there doing. I employed a plumber who did a really bad job so i ended up fixing everything myself. So I decided I'll try and become a plumber who is reasonably priced and can put the elderly people and women in my area at ease when dealing with a trades person. I will also be as always proud of the job I do and do it right the first time and perfect because I just couldn't find anyone like that around me. So this is why I'm entering your compertition to get the right tools the first time and to help people.
Hi PB Hope you are doing well. Really enjoy your videos very insightful. I have just graduated from university but I made a wrong choice and kind of knew that I wanted to be in the plumbing trade but had to go with parents wishes too. Now I'm out im about to start level 2 plumbing have the basic knowledge from doing little jobs. But due to funds and uni debt I don't have money like that to get tools esp decent ones that u are offering. This would be a real booster for me and gige me that added motivation. As you know with the right good tools it's a pleasure doing the job. Thanks
Hi Pb, absolutely loving plumbing since I’ve started got a couple more months left on my gas safe then I’m fully qualified would love to win them tools there’s a lot of things in there that would complete my toolkit 👍
hi a couple of things . Episode 22 , one is just letting you know another great video . But I dont know why but just thought you should know I don`t know if it is just me or if it others as well but can`t leave a comment . Can still like it . My brother as restarted plumbing after teaching for a couple of years and cause of your reviews my brother as borrowed/stolen a few items that I have purchased after watching your RUclips . the Fluxuator , Rothenberger stepped key , air con ratchet wrench , Marx man pen and the split ring spanner that he things are all fantastic . He`s borrowed lots of other things but the thing he is most impressed with is my Milwaukee m12 fuel sds as he thought it wouldn`t be strong enough but after he had used for two days he thought he would use his m18 combo to do the last few whole instead of taking them both on the site . half way through the first whole he was regretting it . anyway I hope you soon make money doing the You Tube cause I really do enjoy watching , mark
They old copper boilers only meant to give background heat ie only take the chill of the room and the fire itself is what heats the living room. Most times not even a rad in living room
Have you ever found any animals in the pipework *EVER* in your entire plumbing career (including your apprentice year)? Thanks for your vids, taught me a lot even though im 16 lol, i even understand why my kitchen tap brings up hot water from the cold tap (after running a hot for a while) and why my toilet tap leaks! Keep up the vids! You inspire me to be a plumber (seems more fun than other jobs and is satisfying as you're basically a hero sometimes)
Love the vids, and I am not even a plumber, I'm a sparks 22mins ish where you talk about "should I charge", my answer is yes as I have traveled, used a time slot and most important I have solved a problem that they couldn't , having said that I often just charge a nominal fee instead of proper call out and tell then why. If you don't charge at all they my feel awkward about calling you again
hi pb Ive been a plumbers mate for five years trying to become fully qualified but just not getting anywhere and at times just want to give up. The tool kit would be nice to win so I could have some decent gear to help with work.
Hey man love the videos! Just curious what electrical certificates do you need to connect a boiler to an existing electrical system? Can you connect to a plug or Fused spur that is already in place with no qualifications? Thanks!
Hate to say it but you appear to have levelled the boiler in line with the cornice, not the cupboard? That's going to make putting the cupboard in (and making it look good) harder.
Richard Lansdowne-Trist the landlord is a tradesman and is going to build a custom cupboard right up to the ceiling it won’t be a similar cupboard with cornice, but yeah you’re right if it was going to be a matching cupboard it would need to be slightly lower 👍🏽
PB. I need to stop watching your videos. I have just ordered a pica pen after watching your video. And recently bought a Veto Tech LC and TP3B. Plus my Wera collection seems to have grown.
I appreciate the time you put into these videos, hard enough cracking out the work sometime. Never mind filming too ! What wind Deflectors have you got on your van ? Any good ?
And I don’t think this event is going in still but I want to be a plumber because my dad has been a plumber since he was 17 and I just really see an interest in it Ive been applying all around
Hi PB, great videos. Fellow plumbing & heating engineer. TWS plumbing & Heating Ltd. Really interested in your thermal imagining camera. What model is it mate? Cheers. Tom
I would love the kit because it will help me out with my college course and hopefully get me through my level 2 plumbing training and I want to be a plumber because my uncle has his own company and I want to follow in his footsteps.
What happened to your #22 PB? Got the notification but when I went to watch it, said 'user removed'. Hope all is well and look forward to the next video. Cheers matie.
Hey PB, quick question mate regarding NVQ. I am going back to college in September part time to get my level 3 diploma 6035, the NVQ isn't part of my course as it is part time evenings, i fully intend on get my 6189 NVQ after my 6035 but there seems to be endless options for the 6189 on the C&G website. What I would like advice on if you pick this message up is what 6189 would be more worth while to use as a 'jobbing plumber' as that's the path I'd like to eventually follow. Cheers mate
I'm really trying to figure out what you use this pipe bender for. Here in America. I've never seen one on a plumbers truck. HVAC. yes. Plumbing NO....
Hi LT, I am a plumber & gas fitter in Victoria, Australia. We have been using this type of bender as the most common type of pipe bender for 1/2 and 3/4 copper for over 30 years.... but we also BRAZE our water & gas joints, rather than use soft solder. There is provision in our code( AS3500 section 1“ water services “) for the use of soft solders, but they must be “lead free”....it’s just not a practice that has really been done since the 70’s. All that being said, copper press fitting has to a certain extent replaced all field fabricated non-mechanical joints in copper piping systems in Australia and the other thing is equally interesting is unlike our British colleagues we don’t use copper or brass olives to anything like the same extent that they do-down under we typically flare our water and gas joints!!!🤠
@@blackdog5560 we cannot use any solder with lead in it either. W use lead free. When I do specialty lines for animal vets. I use silflous. This has not flux left inside the line. But still. I've never seen a pipe bender in a plumbers truck. I asked a city worker the other day if they use them. He said Yes. Almost every city water truck has a bender in it. I must say though. They use all "Type L" soft copper pipe. I don't use type "M" copper pipe at all anymore. I only use hard type "L" pipe. That would be hard to bend with a bender!
How small is the average home around those parts, by the looks of the pipe size they can't be that big. Here most of my work is forced air heating and the majority of boilers I sell are cast iron 83% efficiency free standing units.
Do you think being a plumber is a good job I’m really interested in doing this as a life long job I just don’t know where to start and wanted too see if you really enjoy it
I think M Sam should be given the kit just read his comment I know he will do the trade justice. I see ur metabo fan first person I've seen. those who looking to buy the tools you review keep in the basket on amazon until price goes down trust I've picked up bargains. can you do a review on rothernberger plasticut plastic pipe cutters time saver trust. great vids.
Hi PB, my son is 14 and following me into the trade, I’d love to win those tools, mainly to stop him from ruining my tools!! Or forever losing my pipe slices lol
woodbine66 if I capped them there would have been no flow to the downstairs heating circuit, you would normally just cap them where they tee into the boiler but I had to remove the pump and the job return valve so was easier to just use couplers
Hi PB, Would love to have that kit as I’m roughly a year working as an apprentice and the money isn’t great starting off as you’d know..the tools I have are very cheap and won’t last me very long doing the work I’m doing! I’d really appreciate if you chose me as it would be a great help to me going forward and make saving a bit easier 😂
Hello mate, in love with plumbing, would really help to win these tools, I'm a new plumber just starting out and I feel like this would really help me get started. Cheers x
With being self employed, do you wear work pants and steelies? Or just cut about in trainers? Also, wouldnt mind some extra kit, serving a Gas Fitter apprenticeship at the moment, not really any direct plumbing, would be well chuffed with a tool kit so i wouldnt have to keep borrowing gear Keep the jobbing plumber vids up, always watch as soon there up, cheers man 👊
Hi PB, just another great video bud, I really need your help and advice mate, i watch your your video about getting into the Industry and I think I'm in a catch 22 situation . I completed my 6035 diploma and water regs exam at the end of 2015 , when the training company I was with went bust, so I couldn't complete my nvq at level 2. I am currently working in the port of Southampton and doing plumbing for mates and family but I desperately want to get into the Industry. I have applied for jobs with plumbing and with sole traders and I have I offered to help out as a plumbers mate, not to get paid, just for the experience. I really want to complete level 2 nvq and move on to level 3 but I have been recently told there is a time limit of 5 years, any suggestions mate would be a great help! This is the hardest thing I have done , moving into a new industry. I looking at joining Twitter and Instagram so I follow yourself and others. I must admit my head's dropped recently and I was close to giving up on my dream, but following you on RUclips is giving me the drive to keep moving forward. Keep up the work bud Dave O'Shea Southampton
Alright pb my names ryan ive just finished my first year at collage of plumbing and going up to level 2 the tool kit would help me alot as i dont come from a wealthy family and it is hard to get decent tools this would play a huge part for me to get me up to my gas level as the collage has about one adjustable to there name 😂😂 but even if you see this and give me a like i will be very greatful as i love to watch your vids all the tips help keep up the hard work mate thank you for the help
Hi mate How come you deleted the other vid? Watched 10 mins The misses dragged me shopping so I thought I’d watch the rest to unwind when back then booooom gone. Gutted !!!
I still don't understand how I got to a place where I am happy to see a new video about plumbing on a Friday night.
Cheers for the new vid, PB.
Same here but its Saturday night 🤓
Could not have put this any better
Looks bloody neat to me as usual Pete 👌! I think all your work is very neat and professional 👍 👌!
Here in the states we dont bend copper strictly solder or propress. So That was pretty cool to see what you can make with those benders.
Them bends at the end are class mate 👏👏
Great video again , like the honest attitude with customers , it’s your best advertising 👍🏻
Hi PB

The Multi tool nearly blew my speakers 😂
James Elmy sorry mate 😅
Very good video. Always enjoy watching. Can I request you do a video on your combi install showing yourself soldering the pipes. Fantastic looking end products so would love to see your technique. Cheers!

Hi pb
Watch all your videos.
Eye protection. Always wear eye protection!
I really liked that PB copper pipe. You should make that into a man cave sign. We dont bend copper in canada much. But I think I am going to buy a bender and try something new. It looks much better. I am learning so much from this channel and your so far away.
Hi PB,
I’m finally deciding to follow my Grandads footsteps to join the plumbing trade, the kit your giving away would help a great deal to get me on my feet 👍🏻
Keep up the good informational videos
Best plumber channel on yt, quality content
Why PB when I saw your cool
That you pulled with the new bender, it reminded me of me of pulling those to use as a bypass for on a model of wall mount Baxi that required a min of a 3mts tube as a bypass the only difference was it was in 22mm and you can do it on hand held Hillmore or Record benders ..same process you describe, it ends up as a slightly square with the corners knocked off look, but worked fine !! Aaah memories ! 😂 great stuff in a hard game on your part buddy .. keep it coming
Good on you PB for doing a give away. Have to disagree about the pipe bender I'm on my 3rd set in eighteen years. Former snapped on first two.

Great vid thanks PB. Tidy boiler install.
Top notch as always PB, everydays a school day

hi a couple of things .
Wow PB really impressed with a bacho bender nice piece!
Haven't seen the Bahco bender before...be great to make a simple heat coil for solar etc. Not sure about the price.
I'd be a big concerned at all that "coking" around that fireplace PB!?!
loving the videos my fellow colleague 👍
Trunking work was spot on, any chance you could do a detailed video of how you do it like that?
They old copper boilers only meant to give background heat ie only take the chill of the room and the fire itself is what heats the living room. Most times not even a rad in living room
Pulling the bends quickly when the copper is warm ripples the pipe bud had the old version of the bahco benders for years
Have you ever found any animals in the pipework *EVER* in your entire plumbing career (including your apprentice year)? Thanks for your vids, taught me a lot even though im 16 lol, i even understand why my kitchen tap brings up hot water from the cold tap (after running a hot for a while) and why my toilet tap leaks! Hi PB
Great videos keep em coming. Do you use End ferrules on your wiring? And what crimped do you use?
Love the vids, and I am not even a plumber, I'm a sparks
22mins ish where you talk about "should I charge", my answer is yes as I have traveled, used a time slot and most important I have solved a problem that they couldn't , having said that I often just charge a nominal fee instead of proper call out and tell then why. If you don't charge at all they my feel awkward about calling you again
That ending was fantastic PB STILL LAUGHING
Amazing set of tools pb
hi pb
Ive been a plumbers mate for five years trying to become fully qualified but just not getting anywhere and at times just want to give up. The tool kit would be nice to win so I could have some decent gear to help with work.
PB,
I love how enthusiastic you are even with the shite jobs, where abouts are you from? I’m a jobbing plumber too, Nottingham area
Hey man love the videos! Just curious what electrical certificates do you need to connect a boiler to an existing electrical system? Can you connect to a plug or Fused spur that is already in place with no qualifications? Thanks!
"Quite a short one" LMAO 35min 😂😂😂👍
D P Yeah not sure why I said that 😅 kept finding other little bits to add in after I recorded the intro 🤦🏼♂️
I found them on amazon and the 15mm bender is £128 and the 22mm is £148 made by bahco!
PB the reason you get a ripple is the former and guide are dirty - clean them with scotch brite and that should stop the ripple
ned Kelly awesome thanks matey I’ll give that a try 👍🏽
Hate to say it but you appear to have levelled the boiler in line with the cornice, not the cupboard? That's going to make putting the cupboard in (and making it look good) harder.

Mr Badger I feel the same way. I always seem to order new tools after watching pb. 😅😅👍
Kim
You have done it again...im online buying new tools as i watch this hahah
Hi there great pipework. How long do you give yourself with powerflushing on a job like that
Pete you must have more tools than any plumber I have ever seen or worked with haha do you have any lead bossing tools wiping pad haha old plumber.
As always, your pipe works always faultless. Do you need to put an external expansion vessel on a heating system that size?
I appreciate the time you put into these videos, hard enough cracking out the work sometime. Never mind filming too !
What wind Deflectors have you got on your van ? Any good ?
Great video
And I don’t think this event is going in still but I want to be a plumber because my dad has been a plumber since he was 17 and I just really see an interest in it Ive been applying all around
loving the videos bud
Been waiting ages for the bender video 👍🏻
Why dose in towel rail when you’ve got a magnaclean? Was it just to save time?
Hi PB, great videos. Fellow plumbing & heating engineer. TWS plumbing & Heating Ltd. Really interested in your thermal imagining camera. What model is it mate?
Cheers. Tom
Have a look at the Glowworm condense pump they are much neater pal
I know its old video but ive just retraded as a 36 year old.tough gig buying cheap tools but i will get better tools as i progress lol
I would love the kit because it will help me out with my college course and hopefully get me through my level 2 plumbing training and I want to be a plumber because my uncle has his own company and I want to follow in his footsteps.

Do you think being a plumber is a good job I’m really interested in doing this as a life long job I just don’t know where to start and wanted too see if you really enjoy it
Hi Mate like your vids would you kindly tell me what’s the pipe brand name please?
I can’t find it on eBay
Thanks 👍🏼
I think M Sam should be given the kit just read his comment I know he will do the trade justice.
I see ur metabo fan first person I've seen. those who looking to buy the tools you review keep in the basket on amazon until price goes down trust I've picked up bargains.
can you do a review on rothernberger plasticut plastic pipe cutters time saver trust. great vids.
Wish you were around when I was an apprentice!!
Hi PB, my son is 14 and following me into the trade, I’d love to win those tools, mainly to stop him from ruining my tools!! Or forever losing my pipe slices lol
For the back boiler, why did you link the rad f and r pipes in the chimney? I thought they should be capped.
woodbine66 if I capped them there would have been no flow to the downstairs heating circuit, you would normally just cap them where they tee into the boiler but I had to remove the pump and the job return valve so was easier to just use couplers
Full Copper Boiler😍😍😍. Never seen one before
Nice conversion
Hi PB,
Would love to have that kit as I’m roughly a year working as an apprentice and the money isn’t great starting off as you’d know..the tools I have are very cheap and won’t last me very long doing the work I’m doing! I’d really appreciate if you chose me as it would be a great help to me going forward and make saving a bit easier 😂
Nice job
Hello mate, in love with plumbing, would really help to win these tools, I'm a new plumber just starting out and I feel like this would really help me get started. Cheers x
With being self employed, do you wear work pants and steelies? Or just cut about in trainers?
Also, wouldnt mind some extra kit, serving a Gas Fitter apprenticeship at the moment, not really any direct plumbing, would be well chuffed with a tool kit so i wouldnt have to keep borrowing gear
Keep the jobbing plumber vids up, always watch as soon there up, cheers man 👊
0:22 it's not coming home, so disappointed but England played great. Who thinks the ref cheated though (especially with that high kick at the end)?
Rather than fit a tank pump, why not just fit an aspen pump that you can hide under/inside the boiler?
Don't be mad! Two reasons:
1: The customer supplied all materials on this job
2: I don’t know what an aspen pump is 😅
Tell me more mate
Just a make of pump, they look way better.

Leaves a cleaner sleeker looking finish.
Keep up the work bud
