- Titanic is a 1997 American epic romantic disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. A fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic, it stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet as members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ship during its ill-fated maiden voyage.

I remember that Titanic was the last movie my grant-grant-parents watched in cinema. A year later they were both gone, but after watching this movie they said it was so realistic and all the costumes and the athmosphere reminded them of the time they were young. Both were allready alive in 1912 and remembered that time.
Thats nice, may god bless them!
So when were they both born and how old are you? There seems to be an inconsistency in your statement.
***** Yes that's correct use your intuitive logic. The person claiming it even spells like a 12 year old, so it is just a 12 year old lying.

My mother hadn’t been to the cinema since she was a young girl. I took her to watch this film as she called it, she was now in her early 70s and at the end said she enjoyed it, when we stood up to leave everyone was rushing to get out and it caused a bottle neck at the exit, I pushed my way through with my mother and when we got close to the exit I raised my voice and said let this women through she’s a survivor and everyone stepped aside and we both walked through with a grin and a smile . She has now passed away and is in endless peace. (RIP) mom,, your loving son 💐x

For some reason, when listening to this piece I always feel like I am wasting my life and not living my life to the full like the character of Rose did and I feel guilty because I have the chance to live my life that the people who died didn't. I don't know how to live to the full though and I'm worry I'll get old and regret everything. I hope those died rest in peace.

Tomorrow night April 15, 2019 will be the exact date when Titanic hit the iceberg. Exactly 107 years after the tragic accident on April 15, 1912 Let us always remember and honor those people who built, and died with the ship. Their memories should never be forgotten for their deaths had been the instrument of innovations to the maritime safety we've taken for granted today.

Then literally everyone I know, except my cousin, has a heart of stone.
RIP to the 5 souls that was lost in the Titan submarine trying to see the titanic 🕊
those people were idiots. just left titanic alone and give the dead ones rest in peace who died there
There were warnings given prior to the titan submersible making its last trip to the Titanic, the company operating it didn’t bother to listen to the warnings because they chose greed over safety.
Kind of ironic that both vessels were lost due to hubris and being foolhardy. The first was traveling too fast for conditions, and the other too deep.

1:11 damn....I wasn’t ready for this emotional roller coaster

I was 7 months pregnant with my 1st child when this came out. I saw it 3 times at the movie theater. I cried so hard at the ending. Now my daughter is 26, and its her all time favorite movie.
I was a little lad when I saw this movie and I was so happy to see it. Ended up crying in the end. This song brings me tears and closer to those who I lost that night. R.I.P. To everyone that died.

The Titanic theme....still hits me so incredible hard. As soon as the bagpipes come in, I always start to cry....I remember so clearly, seeing this in theatre and bawling my eyes out...when the people are falling, I just wince so much. With it's tragedy, it's truely such a beautiful soundtrack and still goes down as one of my favorite movies of all time. Never a dry eye when I listen to this breathtakingly meaningful melody....

Thing is he never said Scottish bagpipes. There are many types. The Irish Uilleann pipes are a gentler and often played indoors while sat down. They are beautiful but they are still bagpipes.

I was 24 when this movie came out, and I saw it the first week it was in theaters. It was an instant classic, and I remember that Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" went to the top of the charts; and teenage girls everywhere would burst into tears whenever it came on the radio. 🙂
These freaking bagpipes at 1:11 will always give me goosebumps..
Céline Dion's My Heart Will Go On is good, but so overrated. THIS is the song that sums up this movie!
The song isn't overrated it's amazing but I agree with you, this version is more emotional
I agree James horners is the real masterpiece
It is a little overrated though. But this song and never an absolution are my favs, I love them♥️
I like the instrumental of the song, I like to believe that it’s just Celine’s voice that ruins it for me imo
I prefer the instrumental versions because she does not lead into her falsettos and it ruins the mood.
When I got married I walked down the aisle to the beginning of this song and I never felt so amazing like I was walking up the grand staircase myself

Legendary vessel....She carried a lot of people.....
I won't say much more then that....Its all been said before. All I can say, is that she was....and still is.....A VERY legendary ocean liner.....
There are loads of powerful emotions....that this Hymn alone stirs within anyone....Even those who believe they can't be affected.....
I will say this, thank you to James Cameron for just one thing - For making the film. No I don't think its because it would make him famous/rich. No. Far from it..... I thank him because otherwise I wouldn't have known about the Titanic.....
Here's to the 1912 ship....

Lost......But never forgotten....May you rest on the bottom of the ocean, and may the people who died onboard (and in the ocean around you as you went down) rest in peace.....
Many tragic events have happened in the past but the sinking of Titanic just touches me the most..
I feel so sorry for all these poor souls who were happy to be aboard the biggest and most luxurious cruise ship at that time and it all ended with people dying a horrible death ..

Mina Stamenkovic I agree
As a child, I had an absolute fascination with the Titanic which would later branch out into many of the Atlantic Crossing Ocean Liners / Blue Riband Competitors/Holders.
My Grandfather only helped to encourage this fascination and love of Liners to bloom, by gifting me plenty of literature, early films and photographs on the Titanic - among other things.
When this released in cinemas in December 1997, he took Me to see it. I was 6 at the time. Just Me and Him.
It's one of the many memories that I treasure and hold dearly to this day.
Since his passing on 27/02/2017 My heart has been broken ever since.
This song touches me in ways very few songs can. It brings up a mix of emotions both beautiful and mournful and I ache for the day that We shall be reunited.
If I'm ever feeling alone, or lost and confused, I know that I can listen to this tear-jerking masterpiece and have myself a good solid cry as I reminisce of better times.
Not a day has gone by that You don't cross my mind, You beautiful soul.

My great grandmother and great great grandmother were survivers of the titanic my great grandmother told me the story of what happened when I was a small child and it was terrifying she was talking about the last moments of the people who didn't make it and it literally ate a hole in my heart some take it as disrespect about them wanting to rebuild the titanic but I take it as history getting to meet my great grandmother who survived was a honor may she rest in peace now
Titanic didn't have all the nostalgic feeling that we relate it to if it wasnt a movie

Words can't describe how extraordinary this composition is.
The ocean in its vastness proved to have won over the TITANIC, not in our hearts and stories that stay as memories of sweet love, bitter and devastating endings but truth from the heart.
Beautifully stated. :') It sounds like poetry.
If you don't cry during this movie, you're not normal...
When the Titanic went down she took with her the lives of many brave people including her entire complement of engineers under the control of Joseph Bell, the Chief Engineer Officer. His staff consisted of 24 engineers, 6 electrical engineers, two boilermakers, a plumber and his clerk. In addition many of the firemen and coal trimmers were lost.

The signature tune of Titanic is the greatest tune ever composed as a movie theme.
