The RX 570/470 is AMD's best ever card IMO. Prices perfectly and it provided great value back in 2017. Even now, for around £50-60, it's still a great value! Great video mate!
Yes agreed for budget builds at the moment there isn’t really any better choice at this price point! Thanks mate 😎
My Rx 570 is only just OK. I have a new 1440p monitor and I am going to run into lots of issues soon. Even upgrading to a new rx 580 with 8gb of ram is tempting but I think I'll save up and get something better in 6 months to a year. Hopefully by then current gen 16 or 24gb cards will be a bunch cheaper by then.
I have an RX 570 4GB and it's great for lighter games. Might buy BeamNG drive soon and see if it can handle it.
I just bought one but the 8gb version, I'm just waiting till I get all the remaining parts for my new pc
Just bought a XFX RX 470 4gb on marketplace for $15 with a dead fan, swapped some fans in from a donor RX 560 and we are in business. It's for a second PC that sees games pre 2020, so it still does quite well, especially for the price. I might throw a G12/AIO on it next just to see what happens, I have the leftover used parts for it.
The RX 500 series cards are some of the best ever, period. I am using this exact card in a Steam Deck PC console build and it kicks as much ass as I need it to. Good video!
Thanks for the comment and support and glad you enjoyed the video 😎
I have a review on the rx 470 in the queue. Everyone shouting you need more vram was making me very curious. Great video going over it!
Can’t wait for that! Yes it depends I think on what your planning to play and what your used too. Personally i’m quite happy playing at 1080p low 40fps on a game like Sons of the Forest, I had a R5 240 5 years ago! It’s ok for people to say yeah mate you need a 3080 but quite lot of people just don’t have money for that and just want to play some games. Boxes ticked 😁
Impressive! Nice to watch your new video Andy ❤️
Thanks buddy 😎
Nice, it's still doing alright hey. Even better with a little help from FSR in titles that support it too.
I’m so used to FSR these days with lower end systems I don’t one how we managed before 😅
Bought this little guy back in 2020 while building my very first gaming PC. I rarely need 60+ frames in videogames, so since that moment I have been able to play almost everything on High settings 1080p without much trouble. If the game is well-optimized, you can probably reach 60+ even without lowering the settings that much: I am currently playing Resident Evil 4 Remake with almost everything set to Mid or High and rarely experience significant frame drops - without the FSR, mind you! Sadly, the card's lifespan does approach its end, and by the end of 2023 you will probably be forced to change it for something more powerful, if you want to continue playing AAA-titles in the future, but, overall, this is arguably one of the best budget GPUs AMD has ever released. If it was decent in 2020 and is still not dead in 2023, it was probably a beast in 2017.
Hi Daniel and thanks for the comment, yes I’m the same, unless it’s a first person shooter I’m not fussed about 60FPS. I’d rather cap the game at 30 and turn a few things up. Generally for benchmarks it just throw it in there and see what it does. It is an awesome card and has served very well! It’s replacement the RX6600 is looking like the budget king of the future 😎
2023 rx 550 still running games low 720p 75fps rx 570 seems to perform and still get updates from amd.
Bought one of the 8GB models before lockdown in 2020 and back to it after my second hand GTX 1080ti started dying a slow horrible death. So far it runs everything I need it to.
Hi Daniel cheers for the comment and a good investment then! They where going for silly money at one point like £400/£450. Glad things have settled down and us gamers get to enjoy them again 🙏🏼
@@andystech101 For sure. I got my RX 570 8GB for $200 CDN. At the time the local shops knew lockdowns were coming so had a bunch of sales on instore inventory. I have the MSI Armour version so flash or bling but it gets the job done 3 years later.
@andystech101 £450 for a 570? Glad I bought mine for £57 (including shipping) in 2023. Great little card.
@@gt8200-0 Good find. I recently upgraded to an RX5600XT. Keeping the RX 570 as a backup though. I am running a Xeon system so no onboard graphics so if something goes funny with the GPU I need to keep a spare around.
I bought a 4GB Asus Radeon RX 570 ROG Strix OC for 130€ (so $140), and still rock it. And it is pretty solid, even running it on a 4K monitor for some basic gaming.
Would only update to a RTX for their video AI features.
If I wanted a PC just for watching YT or using discord I'd probably just put an ssd in an office PC and call it a day :D
bought my 570 4gb in 2018 for $200 , still rocking it . got me through alot and did a lot of gaming . currently playing bg3 . best $200 i have ever spent .
Is yours nitro? I just got a (used) rx570 nitro 4gb, but weirdly when gaming on 100% load the fan wont spin more than 20% fan speed..
@@hanalala3164 no mine is gigabyte , and yes , on automatic , the fan doesnt goes above 30% , but , this is why u set the fan speed manually from amd radeon software from the performance tab . i set my fans to 60-70% , temp never goes above 70'c at full load . i live in very hot climate country .

Great bargain for £50. For cost it should be compared to other cards that require PSU power (as the 1030 and 1050ti have a price premium as they can go in office PCs with low wattage PSUs). A good comparison would be the gtx 970 and 1060 but the rx 570 still gets the nod.
If the Rx 580 and 590 can be found for only a bit more they are also great buys. I remember being really impressed with the Rx 590 when I had one.
Hi buddy, Haha funny you say that I’m doing a GTX970 video at the moment 😎
Time flies so fast, I once bought it as used at 160, now you can get it for as low as 50-60, literally bought one yesterday, again 😅.
It does indeed and I’ve seen them lower for the 4GB version these days. Still a great little budget card 😎
I use it in mine I’m starting to find its maxing out on some games while streaming at sametime it would be fine if it was 8gb but for what I play with settings turned down a tad it’s fine
I think FSR3.0 has given the card another year at least 🤩
I have a 4gb and the 8gb. The reason behind that decision is because I'm squeezing as much time out of the rx 570 until the prices drop significantly for the rx 7600. 1080p for a bit longer for me. I can't justify spending 400 dollars for a 1440p card at the moment.
Keep rocking and fair play! The RX6600 is a good buy at the moment as I’ve seen them going for around £140 used and even £180 at the moment.
i think you should do a video on the rx 5700 xt, i recently picked one up for £150
Definitely! I got a flashed 5700 with the XT bios for £126 on eBay the other day! Bargains at the moment
One of the best cards of all time imo. Bought mine new in 2019 for $100. Did the thermal paste and have been running it ever since. Hoping it holds another year or two until I build another rig
Its perfectly fine for esport titles
Drivers will be the issue now but it’s still a great card 😎
Can confirm, it runs pretty well if you're not the kind of person who only says the latest AAA games on highest settings with RT. Been using it since 2017 when my 13 y/o dumbass wanted to play Overwatch but his pc was real meh (alongside an 2012 i5-3550 and some 2012 motherboard, both getting replaced real soon lol)
Done you well and these still have there place in budget systems
ayyyyye we have the same desktop background XD
Great minds think alike 😎
I'm retiring my RX 570 next week. I don't play graphically inenstive games (World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, Minecraft), so this card served me well for the 6 years I've had it. I have much respect for it. It is however starting to show its age in World of Wacraft, it's not performing as well in WoW's latest expansion DLC "Dragonflight".
My friend is giving me his RTX 2080 TI for £50 next week and that will be more than enough to play the games I play at 1080p. I really look forward to it. For now the RX 570 will stay with me as a backup card just incase.
Nice! She’s served you well and the 2080ti is a beast of a card 😎
just broke out my XFX RX570 4GB bought new in 2019 only used it for a few months until now it ran hot when overclocked so I picked up a parts card on eBay for $15 an XFX RX580 XXX black edition 8GB model to swap the cooler which has 4 heat pipes and contact plate for the ram the stock cooler only had 2 heat pipes and no contact with the ram with slightly smaller louder fans, with the 580 cooler I can archive a stable 1450MHz slightly undervolted and temps in the mid to high 60's @60% fan speed before it would hit 80c stock even when cranking the fans to 80% playing fortnite 1080p 75hz free sync fps locked @72 FPS and it runs buttery smooth flatline frame times even in battle situations in for the win I highly recommend this upgrade if you can find the parts card cheap enough mine was a direct bolt on swap probably the same between manufacturers as long as your 570 cooler is as useless as mine was a direct bolt on upgrade
Nice! Like the initiative of using the better cooler! I really like the design of XFX cards as well through ok the generations and I’m glad your now getting a new lease of life out of it 💪🏼
rx 570 is still a great graphic cards, bought it like a week ago, so happy with the performance… not really into a pretty hard AAA games just some classic game like CS and Rainbow Six Siege + Cross Fire + War Rock
still run pretty smooth:))
Definitely and it still has its part to play in budget gaming! AMD just released the March driver release as well so happy days 🙌🏼
Got one paired with a ryzen 5 1400, still does well.
Great little combo! 😎
mantap bang 👍
Just built a budget machine with a i5 4570 16GB DDR3 MSI RX570 512GB SSD 500W PSU, all shoved into an HP 400 MT. Just under £120 including an 22" 1080p monitor. Probably grab an i7 if I can get one cheap but for £120, its a decent budget machine.
Nice little budget build there 🤩 one option maybe would be a v3 Xeon like the 1245/1270 v3 they can be snagged for £15/£20 and perform the same as the i7! They make a big difference so I’d recommend the extra threads if you can.
@@andystech101 Good shout!! Will have to see if the OEM motherboard from HP will accept them first.
Yeah they will, it may say not but they fit
Still have RX 570 since "newest" game i play is Witcher 3 it does great even on ultra with Hairworks.Card is beast r9 290 could not run W3 on those setting and on paper it was a lot stronger card.
R9 290 was and still is a beast in my opinion and like you said if your playing older titles these cards still hold there own
Great video thnx
Much appreciated 🙏🏼
It's a bit disappointing those rdna3 7840U apu cant reach this level of performance with 15w
However the full 7940HS on minipc/laptop can reach this tho
Im waiting for handheld chips to hv this kinda brute force to chew on some modern games at 720/800p
Yes true but there coming along nicely and one day will be there and I honestly can’t wait! I think DDR5 on the newer platforms has helped out as well 😎
I just snagged this card for $30. Got a ryzen 3600 w/ stock cooler for $50 as well. Deals are out there if you look hard enough. Key is patience. All in all I'll probably have $275 into this system altogether an will sell it for $450.
Nice deals and yes definitely the key is patience. Good little profit there as well 😎
I bought my power color rx 570 from 2018 I still use it
I’d say it’s earn’t it’s moneys worth and with fsr3 frame gen now it’s got a little more life left in it.
Average temps with that Aorus model?
Low 70s I believe with a repaste and a custom fan curve.
Can you give me your undervolt settings? i have the exact same card and it usually runs 80-85 degrees
Generally I’d drop it 125mV see if it’s stable and go from there with 25mV drops. 85c is really hot! When was the card last rethermal pasted?
@@andystech101 A month ago by me, it came from a mining rig and i bought it knowing that, i read in reddit that anything below 90 is normal but this does not make much sense to me. before repaste it was peaking around 96!
these card selling for 450 usd on amazon any reason why? a 12gb 3060 strix selling for less than 400 usd which would you buy?
well the asrock phanton is for 450 usd any reason y
Are you sure it’s an RX570 not a new RX6750XT or RX6800? The RTX3060 12GB is a good buy at the moment and you can’t really go wrong, I wouldn’t pay anymore than £300 for a new one though as the 4060 can be picked up for around that price.
I own RX 580 8GB Pulse version. On esports titles not bad card. But lets say in Warzone or better titles. GPU struggle and showing age ..
Warzone works a treat with FSR3 frame gen but I’m still not convinced it’s real fps! Yes agreed but I think we’ll still get a little more out of them.
Yep I have one with Xeon e3-1220 v3/16gb ddr3/rx 570/480ssd/1tb hdd/ I will never change from amd
Nice little setup! A E3 1231 V3 would be a great little upgrade there 😎💪🏼
@@andystech101 maybe some day :) for how I am happy with what I have :)
If only everyone thought like that the world would be a better place 😎🙏🏼
Tenho a minha desde 2021 asrock gaming roda tudao suavao na navis ❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Ig it depends what games u play and if u get it on a good price
Agreed. I wouldn’t recommend buying one over something more powerful, always better to save up a bit. But that said the amount of £250/£300 PC’s I sell is mad and this fits the bill as with an ok PSU is a good starting point for someone on there Pc journey with a limited budget 🤩
Good video. Sadly, it's not worth buying. You need FSR at 1080p on LOW settings just to play new AAA games like Last of Us Part I and Hogwarts Legacy and it's only going to get worse. 6gb cards are also obsolete for AAA gaming in 2023. Lots of 3080 10gb owners aren't happy they can no longer set these new AAA games to 1440p at Ultra settings. Time moves on.
That’s the idea 1080p low with FSR is budget pc gaming 🥳 Yes it has its limitations but what else can you buy if you’ve got £50! RX580 8GB/GTX1070’s are £100/£120 still and if you’ve got a GT710/1030 this is a monster haha
8gb is the new 2gb in 2023. Minimum vram required to play new games without going blind.
Got it for £50 and have a 600w PSU £25 from Amazon
We need cheap PSUs at the moment 😭
@@andystech101 Right? Their like £40 at the minimum
Yeah it’s killing me with the budget PC flips at the moment
PSUs are crazy expensive. £50 for a non-modular 550W PSU from MSI in my PC.
Its not much of hardware getting old and not powerful enough, its that the further devs go the more unoptimized games are. They release not even remotely acceptable performance in games so they get the money and then they start doing minimal or decent at very best optimization through months and months and even years.
Completely agree there mate 😎
I have 30 of these cards if anyone is still interested in them only $45
I just got one for $50 lol does the job
Let’s prey we get support for a little longer
Thanks for the reply 🎉
i have crash with newest adrenalin
Maybe try and roll back I’ve had some issues with AMD at the moment! COD refuses to start for me at the moment 🤷🏻♂️
Hi @andystech101 and everyone else!
Hi buddy 😎
