Super disappointing. "Doing it anyway" should never be with a goddamn employee. There is no conclusive proof yet but Ned is looking *bad*. Edit2: well he's no longer with the try guys. What a twat.

I’m so sorry they put you through that. The number one thing I’ve found that leads me to success in anything I try is trust. Being willing to let go of my need for control and trust that if I relax and let my teacher guide me that I’ll be safe. Having that trust violated is the worst thing that can happen as a student. I hope that experience hasn’t kept you from trusting other mentors in your life. *hugs*

@@froryte But that was kinda my point all along. We shouldn’t have this level of unhealthy attachment to celebrities or Internet famous people to the point we put them on a pedestal and expect them to do no wrong because they’re our “role models”. They don’t owe us anything (especially when it comes to their private life) because at the end of the day, we know them more than they know us.. And as much as we want to act like we have a very strong bond there’s still a screen filtering their lives. It’s a unilateral relationship. Sad but true.

I think it's just as scary because it's something that could go wrong so quickly due to you not being confident in your diving. It's similar to when people jump from high places or house roof tops into the backyard pool. There are so many people who second guess themselves, don't commit to the jump and end up breaking their back or legs.

We went rappelling in the eight grade and I just noped right out. No amount of cajoling or peer pressure could convince me to do that. Fifteen years later I went with my husband and FIL and they were so calm and patient and proud of me for even trying that I managed to do it, and it was fun! Lifting each other's spirits up, encouraging the other and even if the other fails they still build them up and support them.

a trick the teachers used when teaching us kids how to dive was just holding our ankles as we 'fell' towards the water (letting go at the last second), that way there is almost no possibility of wrongly over-correcting and belly flopping, and you learn how it is supposed to feel so it takes a bit of the fear away. I think the complicated part is that when you're scared you make mistakes that hurt you, making you more afraid to try again. Honestly kudos to Ned for persevering!
