I feel that pain. I used to be really depressed and diagnosed with anorexia a few years ago, everyone said those were the times where I looked best and that I was so healthy, comparing me to my past self which constantly wanted to unalive and leave the pain behind.
Being compared to your worst self hurts, it feels like that bad version of yourself was the best you're gonna get and that hurts.
It is certainly not the best upk ever get. Maybe ur not there now but ur best will be when u love ur body ❤ n even then u r more than ur body. Like God says don’t worry abt the clothes or the body or face its the spirit n soul that matters. N even then he made us all to be beautiful just like flowers n sunsets 🥰
Two gorgeous people can be equally gotgeous n not look the same. Inside n out. Im glad ur past ur anorexia n keep moving forward. Eat because ur hungry eat to nourish urself. Eat to make urself strong which will help u live in the moment. Even if or when u workout yeah maybe u have an image in mind but at the end of the day just enjoy the workout n knowing that each time u do it u get stronger.

Same happened to me, I was at a point in time were I was under eating so much I’d often get painful migraines, constantly tired, feeling like I was going to pass out/faint all the time, and mostly everyone in my family recall that being when I look my healthiest
Oh my! Anorexia is horrible! I hope you are doing well, mentally as well as physically right now. I know it hurts and even when others will tell you to 'ignore' it, you can't if it is coming from people that surround you on a daily basis. So you can cry and you can vent but don't you give up. Yes i feel you on people comparing you i lost weight extremely fast unintentionally by dieting and after i did people started complimenting me but they didn’t realize that they were just feeding into my eating disorder i was still struggling and sometimes i still do from time to time but i have gotten better thank God but I appreciate you for sharing your story and i wish you well and the best in life may God bless you ❤

People need to think before speaking or commenting. Words are so easy to spill, so much unnecessary emotional trauma. Be kind, always. There are many reasons we don’t know, you could be speaking to a person who is dying, suffering, going through tough times and these negativities are not what they need. this is classic ED rhetoric. i’m not gonna diagnose anyone online, but you often hear people with EDs say this exact thing when confronted about how they were clearly healthier before - and not just because of weight (also energy levels, mood, etc). it’s literally like she’s reading from a proana script.
I tend to agree with you because it feels like a weirdly dishonest answer. People are obviously talking about her weight but she is deflecting by talking about drinking etc, saying she was unhealthy in all kinds of conveniently invisible ways. Coming from someone who struggled and viewed my bigger self as unhealthy, I think she's dealing with an ED. I wish her the best to overcome her battle. She may be eating healthier, but she's extremely thin and it's aging her face.

Tried to look into it, the most I could find is change in appetite/ diet after getting off anti-depressants can affect weight.
I’m sure someone with first hand knowledge may know more but that’s all I could really find on the topic.

As a naturally skinny person , people try to convince me that I’m not healthy , but when I force myself to eat to look their definition of “healthy “ it’s not good for my body . I start throwing up and becoming sad, and getting tired easily because that’s not my natural body size.

I’m not an active fan or anything but I’ve never seen this woman catch a break. People have been coming for her since she solo debuted. They called her a diva, they called her dramatic for going to hospital for panic attacks, they criticise her tan, her plastic surgery, her height, called her useless when her ex passed, accuse her of a thousand different things and now at 29, she’s still having to deal with this.

I've seen Ariana in early shows she was in when I was really young, and in a few movies. To me, she looked just fine, and I never felt anything negative towards the way she looked, though she was going through a lot. Seeing her now, I was almost shocked at how much her body had changed. In my eyes, she looked her healthiest when she was a teenager. I hope she really is healthy and taking care of herself mentally and physically❤
For me, she looked the absolute best during the "Yours Truly" and "My Everything" era of the mid-2010s. Since then, she's really changed to the point where she doesn't look like that same person anymore.
Everyone's saying she's "asianfishing," but honestly, I think she's just going for a more natural makeup look and changing her clothing style. The point is there are thins who are mentally and physically healthy. There are those who are irrevocably overweight due to thyroid cancer and that's rare; this we do not need to bodyshame, we must empathize. The fact Lizzo supports and endorses an unhealthy lifestyle leading to morbid obesity, it will kill a lot of people due to health complications because Lizzo said so. Who's then responsible? Yeah except neither of those produce good results. You just make the person feel bad so that you can feel superior and then suppress any guilt you might feel knowing that you made that person feel like shit and didn't help them at all.
People got to remember she's SHORT. So as a 4'10 person myself. I'm supposed to weigh 110 by height or less. Anything over 125 to 130 is considered overweight, which might look healthy to other people. Sadly, my genetics did not match my bone structure with my height so I weigh a lot more than 130 but I'm actively losing weight. Just remember everyone's bodies are different and can do what they want without anyone's consent. My body my choice, step off.
This is exactly what I did during my eating disorder LMFAOOO I would talk about how unhappy I was when I was my healthy weight, i would talk and talk about my old body and how it was so unhealthy and how I was so depressed and if people compared my new unhealthy body to my old healthy one I would guilt trip them and talk about how "I'm happy now and I hate how everyone assumes I was healthy at my unhealthyest ect."
It was my way of shaming people into not being worried about me and to keep them from taking my eating disorder away from me (forced recovery ect). Eating disorders are almost like an addiction, I'm not saying she has one but oh boy I remember saying those exact things to guilt trip my mom 💀
She has always been slim and she is obviously aware of looking after herself and the fact she is talking publicly about anything shows she has a lot of strength. No judgement should be passed on another’s personal journey ❤

@EddieDaunt maybe she is/was like many people are in their 20's; trying to find who they are, what they like and so on. I think it’s pretty normal to experiment with styles etc when young. Ariana can obviously go to the more extremes with it cause she has a lot of money.
But then of course, the entertainment industry is a lot about trends, and celebrities do what it takes to stay relevant. If we as consumers place value on appearances and see it as trends, we can’t blame celebs for following it. Just the reality, unfortunately.

Some of these comments are proving exactly what this video is pointing at - why do people need to comment on someone's appearance? She looks healthy - she got older and she bleached every hair on her body for the Glinda role. On top of that, she's doing makeup and people's skins then to change a bit when they consistently use makeup (for her, it was brightening - my sister has the same thing going on).

@melanvnnandahalf But, Ari was honest and said how she lost weight was with a strict vegan diet so she did not start like this natural skinny, however since she's been so underweight for longer periods of time she could have health issues that make her this extreme looking. But many with such strict diets that Ari did leads to ED without even realizing, she may not even know she has an ED.

It’s crazy how she’s been going through the same thing as I did, I was hospitalized a month ago and I was starting to look like her, people did judge me and people did try and shame me for my physical, my attendance, my attentiveness while I was literally killing myself with medication and malnutrition, all I needed was a call out or help instead of people only criticizing and judging without actually knowing anything.

My childhood face changed when I grow up but not my features. I still have the nose I have and my thin lips.
