  • I put off making this video for way too long. I’m sorry about that.
    Lately I haven’t felt like I deserve to be a part of the AMV community when I’m surrounded by such talented people. I lost my creativity and passion to the point where I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to finish this video, but I’m really glad that I did and I hope that you enjoyed the end results.
    I’d love to hear your thoughts about the finale! Did you enjoy it? Do you think that Armin is a hero, or is he right in that there are no heroes in war? Let me know in the comments!
    Until next time 🍋

    "The one whos going to save the humanity isn't me or the commander, It's Armin!" -Eren
    THAT IS SUCH A GOOD QUOTE AND FORSHADOW!!!!!!

    • @fs400ion
      @fs400ion Месяц назад +2

      That's one of the many quotes that prove the ending we got was the one planned all along. Yet some are still denying that. It's EXTREMELY obvious that Isayama had Eren say that here because he specifically knew that Armin would be the one to defeat Eren and save the world.

    I love the way Armin is so logical, in a see of propaganda and brainwashed minds, hes a breath of fresh air, who can see his own mistakes and and the mistakes of others, he doesnt need a grand purpose to keep on pushing through life nor does he need some grand excuse to dismiss his actions
    Armin knew in a war its unavoidable to not kill ppl, but he doesnt even use that as an excuse
    He really does always manage to understand ppl even those who are as confusing and stupid as ever,
    In the roughest situations, when he isnt thats strong he always pushes through
    He was never a coward and i love that

    Armin was the most human character in all of AOT. The balanced voice of reason, who was very much in touch with emotions and his humanity and never lost it even when faced with tough situations. He willingly sacrificed his dreams, gave up his life, let himself be BURNT ALIVE by the Colossal Titan. Talk about showing tact and unparalleled courage at such a young age. Armin is the real Hero of AOT. He is the strongest❤

    Armin has been quite an intriguing character in the series. Always racing behind Eren and Mikasa, he always brought a different perspective from the two. I was amazed to see his analytical skills and how he deduced various mysteries in the show (starting with the identity of the female titan). His objective to see the outside world was so simple yet beautiful. The glitter in his eyes when he talked about the places from his book always made me cheerful.
    I also loved how you titled this edit, 'The Hero'. Reminded me of the 'Hero' episode, where his sacrifice was so powerful, especially when he talks about his dreams and that at least his friends will be able to live that. It is another debate whether he should have been revived or not. (I'm biased towards Erwin; he is my favourite character in the series 🥹).
    Fun fact: I was surprised to know that the voice actor for Armin is a lady. She has really done a commendable job in voicing the character.

      You explained exactly how I felt about Armin’s character. He was the pacifist who strived toward his dream, meanwhile Mikasa and Eren never seemed to have an issue with using violence. Seeing Armin’s glittering eyes made me very happy, too.
      The title thing is purely coincidental, but I like that parallel a lot! I still get sad thinking about that episode (or those three in general). It was so heartbreaking, yet beautiful. You’re right about it being powerful.
      At this point, I’m just happy that Erwin didn’t have to suffer through the Rumbling and I’m sad fhat Armin did. Being brought back to life honestly feels like a punishment, knowing what they had waiting for them :(
      When I found out Armin’s voice actor was a woman, I couldn’t believe it! I forget it all the time, too. She did a phenomenal job.

    I remember when the anime episode "Hero" dropped. An apt name, to say the least. The Hero of the Battle of Shinganshina, who burned away his body and his dreams for the sake of humanity.
    It remained the highest-rated episode of AoT for a long time. Completely deserved.

    Armin was one of my favourite characters in the story, if not the favourite. He still is. Eren and Armin both showed incredible, yet different, ways of facing adversity throughout the story.
    Canon Chapter 139 annoyed me because by bringing down Eren's character to a confused "garden-variety idiot", it also brought down Armin's achievements in countering what was (up until then) omnipotent post-timeskip Eren. They both should have been epitomes of their respective ways to view the world. Alas.

    In the world of Attack on Titan, I think it’s difficult to find anyone who’s ‘good’ enough to call a true hero. While there are many in AOT who have done heroic actions, there are just as many choices on their part to cause death and misery for others. So, while I’d find it hard to call Armin a hero for everyone’s sake, I’d like to thank you for reminding me how much of a hero he would’ve been to those on Paradis. A ‘devil’ like him was exactly what Paradis needed. I don’t think Erwin or Hange would’ve been able to set their humanity aside to the extent that Armin was willing to. It was by no means an easy role to play. I’m sure as intelligent as Armin is, his choices caused him a lot of pain and will always haunt him, but I appreciate his honestly with himself, accepting the part he played in all this.
    Thank you for this amazing AMV and for renewing my appreciation for another of Isayama’s well written characters! For the first three seasons he was in my top 5 AOT characters. But I became frustrated with some of Isayama’s choices towards the end of the series, which invoked a loss of interest. I stopped paying attention to detail and ended up missing a lot of important character moments, especially on the part of the Scouts. Thanks for this great character study! Keep up the great work ❤️

    • @CasualBlueLemon
      @CasualBlueLemon  7 месяцев назад +1

      I agree with you. AoT doesn’t per se have any heroes, just a lot of misery and the consequences of the choices they made because of that misery. Thanks for sharing your in-depth thoughts! 💙
      I’m glad my video could highlight parts of Armin’s character arc that you missed and help you appreciate him once more :)

      Your comment helped me because I had a similar experience and I want to learn more. Armin has always been my number one character, but he seemed so unfamiliar to me in season four and it really bothered me. I became so distressed over what was happening to Eren, that I didn’t put much thought into understanding Armin at the time. Now I realize his decisions have always confused me and he really is still himself. I shouldn’t have compared him to the morally grounded type of characters who are easy for me to understand. I’ve felt bad about it and I have a new respect for Armin lately. He was never just intelligent and endearing ´-`

    This is very incredible. I love the incredible attention to repeating moments, like Armin dropping his gear. I think you and me are alike. We both make videos way more based on thought and theme, rather than being flashy with effects. A lot of AMV artists are much more into effects and that is also incredible. You are just doing something different, though. Something that resonates. I hope this video blows up!

    What an amazing video, you really are incredible at storytelling and summarizing characters themes. I specially loved that ending at 6:50.
    Related to the description, I also feel that way most of the time. I guess when people are good at something they tend to raise their expectations for themselves and start comparing and nitpicking with others. Your videos are amazing and there's thousands of people enjoying what you do. You don't owe anything to anyone or have to pass any bar in order to feel accepted.
