I'm on a rewatch and yesterday I reached the scene where Hitch says this 1:25 and I think it's so good, I had always wondered why no one seemed to care for all the destruction and deaths that heroes themselves cause in movies. Everyone is focused on the grand victory and the big event, assuming that all those were necessary sacrifices. Seeing how the story touches this topic is so moving for me. Everyone deserves to live, not only heroes. But they constantly have to pay with other people's life for what they consider a greater good. To save humanity. To save the world. To save the island. Also 1:14 using this slow-mo shots from the opening hits so hard. genius!!
Yeah, I always found it fascinating, too, that the main characters in movies and series get to do almost whatever they want and side characters are fine with doing whatever for them. I switched out almost all clips for higher quality, refined the audio and added more scenes as I found the first version a little “empty”. Hope that explains it. Thanks for commenting :)
