Great video! Mikasa is such an unfairly hated character. People often forget all what she had to live through and her great scenes just because her greater motivation to keep going is the main character.
Eren is the reason that she managed to keep moving forward and not crumble, "to live with purpose", as she stated.

Thanks! I agree with you. Mikasa had it really tough - I’m sad to see she didn’t get a happy ending after everything.

The only way the manga tops the Anime is Mikasa's character developpment. In the anime sh'es mostly like "Ereh" half the time comapred to her ccharacter in the manga.

I haven’t read the manga. That’s very interesting. How is her development in the manga?

@@CasualBlueLemonshe has more inner dialogues and interactions that don't revolve around eren, so it's a bit more complex

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I didn't like Mikasa's character. All she ever did was to follow and save Eren. It felt like Eren kept manipulating her, and she couldn't hear a word against him. And the whole plot of Ymir loving Fritz and Mikasa being the character to free her (while an unfathomable genocide was going on) was plain absurd for me. However, there is no denying that she is a queen when it comes to slaying titans and humans (I believe she is second only to Levi), and her voice actress did a phenomenal job (I just felt emotional seeing the BTS of her last recording of AoT).
Whatever my opinion of Mikasa may be, your video was LIT! I can't praise enough your choice to pick and join the scenes; it makes the video and the character very meaningful. I know I've missed your previous videos, but I would wait to see the series to fully appreciate your craft :)
    Happy 2024!

Never liked her either, she’s just an Eren bot. And Eren liking her in the end isn’t the least bit believable.

You know. Mikasa had no idea that Ymir was waiting for her to kill Eren to free her. She only found out about it at the end. Mikasa simply loved him. He was everything to her. Watch the scene when Eren wraps a scarf around her. On that day, she experienced the death of her own parents. She lost her home, everything, and suddenly Eren, that boy, wraps his scarf around her and takes her by the hand to take her home. The scene at the table when Eren says that she is a slave following his orders. Mikasa says that it is not true and reminds me of this scene because Eren was obviously lying then, but Mikasa herself always knew why Eren was everything to her and he remained like that until the very end. . As for rumbling, you know, they could be said to have become traitors from the island's perspective. Eren obviously had his own goals in this, but the fact is that finishing the rumbling was to the benefit of the Eldians on the island. Yet Mikasa sided with the people who wanted to stop Eren from killing the people off the island, and she ended up killing Eren. And it's no wonder that she loved him until the end of her life.

Her voice actress was amazing. She really made the character come to life!
I’m happy you liked my video despite not liking Mikasa as a character. I definitely see where you’re coming from. I feel that Isayama could’ve done a little bit more with her character. Personally I like her, but I feel that her ending was more bitter than sweet, which bothers me a lot.
And the fact that Ymir had to contribute to 80% of humanity dying just to be freed is… a lot to take in, I think 😅
      Happy New Year! :D

@MsJaro89 I agree. Her whole life was centered around Eren, but I hope that she could eventually move on and live a happier life. Whether she found someone else or lived the rest of her life alone, my one wish is that she at least didn’t die miserable.

Its understandable why she loved Eren so much, he literally saved their lives from human trafikers. She became a part of Erens family and lived with them for many years, she had no one else.
I don't see it as Eren manipulating her, I see it as him being oblivious to her feelings.
Remember when they were on the train in one of the flashback memories and they looked at each other blushingly. He obviously loved her to but he didn't fully accept it until then and a bit too late
